There’s a Full Moon/Total Lunar Eclipse in “visionary” Sagittarius today (4:14 pm EDT), the sign of the hopeful archer. Sagittarius governs our beliefs and personal philosophy of life and also rules long-distance travel, the law, clergy, and higher education. This eclipse is occurring at 24 degrees of Sagittarius, smack near the Galactic Center. A Full Moon Eclipse is a time of potent release when we empty out our stale contents. It is also a time for wondrous reflection and illumination.
Eclipses often speed up events and can usher in fateful changes that permanently alter the landscape around us. Their influence is said to last up to six months. Hopefully, too, we will be able to move in a forward direction with our lives again, with Saturn finally stationing direct in relationship Libra today. Saturn denotes our goals and corresponding ability to put down solid foundation for ourselves. Saturn has been retrograde since late January.
Too, wherever Saturn has been retrograding in our personal horoscopes (the house position), is the area of life where we should have been reviewing or retooling things, these past few months. Now we are, hopefully, ready to journey on, with greater wisdom.

The planet Venus, ruler of love and money, shifts into playful Gemini today (10:24 am EDT) vacating possessive Taurus. This may facilitate more movement and flexibility in our relationships and perhaps inspire more ingenuity with respect to our money-making ability. Venus in Gemini is more intellectual than emotional in its approach, and with its placement here, in the communication sign, there can be a real love of words and a deep affection for conversation and writing. Venus in Gemini also requires that we have a strong mental bond with someone before we give our tender heart away. There is also more of a tendency to flirt or tease with this placement.
