“If you have realistic ideals and can generally live up to them, your self-esteem will not be threatened. If your ideals are exaggerated and you cannot reach them, your good feelings from successes may be short lived, and you may feel that you are never good enough.” Mary C. Lamia
COSMIC WATCH:
Romantic Venus opposes dreamy Neptune, the planet of imagination and compassion. This aspect often finds us yearning for an idealized love; we’re eager to turn the tailless frog into a handsome prince. 🙂 Of course, most of us know what can happen when we venture down that prickly path. On the shadow side, too, this configuration is sometimes synonymous with clandestine or scandalous alliances.
Fortunately, later in the day, as Venus sextiles realistic, commitment-oriented Saturn, we’re more adept at sorting out fact from fiction; also, more concerned with determining the long-term value of our connections from a practical standpoint. Incidentally, Venus-Saturn is also linked with May-December romances.
The Moon’s ingress into initiating Aries (5:29 pm EDT) readies us for new beginnings. This Moon sign also favors physical activities.

“If we’re growing, we’re always going to be out of our comfort zone.” John Maxwell
“Expansion” is the keyword for us today, as the powerhouse Sun annually conjoins Jupiter (10:41 am EDT), the largest planet in our solar system associated with”growth and opportunity.” With Sun-Jupiter, we tend to “think big.” We also are more inclined to look at the “bigger picture.” Psychologically, we don’t want to be confined or hemmed in any way now. We also tend to have more faith that things will “work out,” as long as we hold on to the dream.
Astrology refers to Jupiter as the “planet of luck” or “abundance.” It does, too, often seem to correlate with prosperity or an “easing” of circumstances. Traditionally, Jupiter has been described as having a more “protective” quality to it. Jupiter is also linked with faith, optimism (“can do spirit”), and our own sense of humor. Too, a case could be made that when we are more optimistic and positive (Jupiter), we often attract more positive things to us i.e. the “law of attraction.”
So, with Sun-Jupiter today, we should do things that help to broaden our scope of influence and make us feel that we are growing versus stagnating. It’s definitely a time to “get out of our comfort zone” (referring to the John Maxwell quote above) and do something “grand.” (Jupiter). This Sun-Jupiter conjunction is also occurring in “initiating” Aries, the adventurous sign of “new beginnings.”
Fascinatingly, a quick peak back into history also shows that the very last time the Sun and Jupiter had their meetup in pioneering Aries, “Nunavut,” an Inuit homeland, was created from the eastern portion of the Northwest Territories to become Canada’s third territory (April 1, 1999). So, Canada literally “grew” in scope with Sun conjunct Jupiter. Isn’t that cool? Also back on that date, both the Sun and Jupiter were exactly trine to transforming Pluto in visionary Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter), which was also a good time to symbolically “restructure” (Pluto) things.
The “shadow side” of Sun-Jupiter: We need to be careful that we are not too wasteful or extravagant with our resources. That we don’t “over-commit” or “over-promise.” We also need to guard against “over-indulgence.”

“I sometimes wonder whether all pleasures are not substitutes for joy.”C. S. Lewis
Interesting astrological fact: Mick Jagger and Bill Clinton are both proud Leo Suns, with their Moons in earthy, sensual Taurus. See any similarity between the two of them in terms of their personality and behavior? Remember Bill’s saxophone performance on the Arsenio Hall Show several years ago? Any shades of Mick there? 🙂
Well, the “night owl” Moon is back in Venus-ruled Taurus today, so this is a time when we may want to indulge our senses and pamper ourselves. The Taurus Moon is fond of “hedonistic” pleasures. At the same time, it is also practical and resourceful. (Taurus rules money and possessions.)
The Moon also trines “problem-solving” Pluto (10:48 am EDT), so it appears that there is very little that we cannot do today, if we but only put our minds to it and also stay cooperative (sometimes with Pluto, we try to “run the show”). Too, we still have Mick’s “start-me-up” Aries energy beaming down upon us (Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus in Aries).
Later on, the “sweet” Taurus Moon forms a sexy sextile to relationship Venus (7:03 pm EDT). Definitely a time when we will want to be making a “love connection.” Power of attraction Venus helps us attract the “reality we desire.”
Famous Birthdays April 5:Colin Powell (74), late Betty Davis (103). BTW, Betty had her pioneering Aries Sun exactly square to her natal Uranus in professional Capricorn, helping to make her a “one of a kind” original.
In the News: With the Moon in “money-minded” Taurus trining “purging” Pluto, U.S. House Republicans today proposed a budget for the next fiscal year that would reportedly spend $3.53 trillion, $179 billion dollars less then the plan put forth by President Obama. It would also supposedly balance the budget by 2015. (WSJ.com) “Bulldozing” Pluto in action? Too, Pluto tends towards “extremism.”

This Valentine’s Day finds us navigating a potentially more complex emotional terrain with the nurturing Moon entering feeling-oriented Cancer (12:50 am EST) and forming a wide array of “roller coaster” aspects to Jupiter, Pluto, Mars, the Sun, and Venus.
Not to worry, though. Because on the flip side of this cosmic coin, mental Mercury, governing communication, is forming an exact harmonious trine to “no frills” Saturn who wisely advises us to keep our Cupid’s messages for each other short and to the point. (With Mercury-Saturn, less is always more.) Accordingly, “Need you now” may be all we really need to say today to be a big hit with our sweetie. Along with, of course, “I love you.”

“Love is, above all, the gift of oneself.” Jean Anouilh
(Happy that Lady Antebellum‘s “Need You Now” won both “record of the year” and “song of the year” at the Grammy Awards last night. A masterpiece of a song, don’t you think? Of course, I also got my Valentine’s gift a day early last night seeing my lifelong love, Mick Jagger, perform on the Grammy stage for the very first time. Wish Keith Richards had been with him, though. Too, very nice seeing Barbra Streisand and Bob Dylan perform.)
Also, a very warm, heartfelt Valentine’s Day greeting to each one of my five, faithful blog readers here. Hope it’s a good one for all of you, with lots of chocolate and kisses. Reckon, too, that I should leave a light on for my other sweetheart, George Clooney? Just in case? Keep hope alive?
“Need you now, George.”

“Fear not, we are the nature of the lion, and cannot descend to the destruction of of mice and small beasts.”Elizabeth I
There’s a Full Moon at 29 degrees of “drama queen” Leo on February 18, 2011 (3:36 am EST). Too, this “Hollywood-style” Full Moon does not disappoint in the “drama department” with it’s exact opposition to glittery, seductive Neptune in brotherly love Aquarius. Full Moons traditionally deliver “full illumination,” although with Neptune’s veiled ray amplified here, it may be a challenge to decode what’s really going on around us now.
Ensnaring Neptune governs fantasy, illusion, dreams, delusion, sacrifice, surrender, self-doubt, escape. While the theatrical Leo Moon craves praise, applause and ego recognition. It wants to wield formidable power. It could be that this Leo Full Moon serves as a barometer to check the health of our ego. Also, our susceptibility to flattery. Too, it may have the net affect of making us more humble, which isn’t such a bad thing either. Additionally, this is a highly creative Full Moon especially for film-making, acting, writing, dancing, music, painting.
(BTW, at the 53rd annual Grammy Awards show on Sunday night, the transiting Moon was at 28-29 degrees of idea-minded Gemini forming a trine to imaginative Neptune and a square to genius Uranus, and the level of creativity at the event was at a fever pitch. We have an equivalent energy here, perhaps even more so with the “entertainment” Leo Moon at 29 degrees.)
Individually, we will want to check out what house in our horoscope this lunation is falling in to see where all this captivating, “suspenseful drama” and creativity will be playing out.
Also at the time of this Full Moon, Love Goddess Venus in professional Capricorn is exactly square to withholding Saturn in romantic Libra. It may be that, like Leo, Mick Jagger, we have to try harder to get “satisfaction” in the bedroom or the boardroom.
Overall, too, I think the song Satisfaction is a perfect tie-in with this particular Full Moon, in showy Leo, with the emotional Moon’s agonizing opposition to “ego-denying” Neptune. A time when we may be meeting up with a certain amount of rebuff no matter where we turn. We could also experience some existential discontent or disillusionment with the general nature of things in the collective (Aquarius). Of course, if we keep focused on our core values and personal mission statements, we’ll be just fine. Eventually. Once this Neptunian curtain is lifted and Mick Jagger finally takes center stage, along with the anchoring, Keith Richards. 🙂

COSMIC WEATHER:
Goal-keeper Saturn, the only planet with a hit “reality show” that we all despise, but watch anyway because we have no choice in the matter, stations retrograde today (1:11 am EST) at 17 degrees of nuptials Libra. The plot thickens even more here because mental Mercury, also positioned in Saturn’s subdued, medicated Capricorn, is forming an exact square to the old fart. 🙂 (See my earlier blog on Saturn retrograde in Libra for more sizzlin’ details.)
What this may mean for all of us is that we could be in for a big “reality check” today with our thinking, especially if we’ve been drinking too much of Neptune’s delusional Kool-aid instead of doing our proper due diligence. Mercury-Saturn stands ready to show us the weakness and foolishness of our ideas, and is ready to send us back to the drawing board, if need be, for workable, “reality-based” solutions that take into consideration our tiny budgets and meager talents. We are empowered now by “facing the music” and recognizing the “folly” of our previous ways, and dutifully confessing our sins. No more profligate lifestyle. Only generic brands, generic prescriptions for us. We may still occasionally feast on pie, but no more pie ala mode. At least for a while. Saturn wants us to be “lean and mean” and to show a profit, at which time he will smile. Broadly.
Mercury-Saturn: “No, we cannot pass ‘Go.’ No, we do not get to collect $200. And, if we don’t come up shortly with some practical thought applications that appease authority figures, we could wind up in Monopoly jail doing hard labor, losing both Boardwalk and Park Place to foreclosure!”
In addition, the Moon is holed up all day long in deep, dark, foreboding Scorpio, making us feel totally like we’re in existential hell, with few choices or options around us. (This is not true, but Pluto-ruled Scorpio is always full of drama, angst, and darkness.) We’re forced to frightfully crawl into the tarantula infested caves for dubious shelter. Looking desperately for Mick Jagger and Keith Richards to assuage and soothe our Saturnian-induced pain and guilt, one more time. How about it, guys? Will you be the light at the end of the gloomy cave for us today, and help us to emotionally regenerate and heal? Pretty please?

COSMIC WEATHER:
Did we get lucky, or what? Yet another Saturday rolls around and the accommodating Moon, that glorious “night goddess of the sky” is in “Keep it clean, spotlessly clean” Virgo all day! The very finest, most premier, “vacuuming energy” of all. What more could we ask for? 🙂
Fellow astrologer, Ellen Longo, mentioned to me yesterday on Facebook that “vacuuming” is a dirty word in her house, but conceded that vacuuming while downing margaritas seemed like a pretty doable concept. Too, if we fit the liquor in, before “indulgent” Jupiter leaves “watering hole” Pisces today (12:11 pm EST), we’ll be well-served.
Yup. A “new day is dawning.” Big hips Jupiter is finally bidding adieu to “fragile wine goblet” Pisces and heading for the wide, open plains of “testoterone-rich” Aries the ram, where it will be beans and weenies for all of us, over an open campfire, till early June. We’re gonna be roughing it up, being adventurous, and initiating a whole lot of cool things, with my pioneering heartthrob, Mick Jagger, starting us off on that wild trail today. BTW, Mick has Aries on his tenth house of career in his birth chart. So it’s natural for him to always want to be “starting something new,” work-wise.
Whatever house Jupiter is moving through in our own personal horoscopes is where we should be planning for exciting new beginnings the next few months. (Check out my previous post on “Jupiter in Aries” for more sizzlin’ details.)
“All glory comes from daring to begin.” Eugene F. Ware
Yup. Giddy up horsey! Hi ho silver! We’re faster than a speeding bullet now. Don’t even need a costume change to scale tall buildings.
People in the News: Talk show host, Keith Olbermann, unexpectedly departed MSNBC last night. A quick peak at his horoscope (b. 1/27/59 time unknown) shows warrior Mars transiting his freedom-loving Aquarian Sun (firing him up?) exactly square his nebulous Neptune. Mars-Neptune, although a short-term influence, is often one of the weirdest and most difficult influences for us to handle, as there can often be a dissolving of ties (Neptune) and the circumstances under which this occurs can be strange or oddball. Classic astrological description of Mars-Neptune: “The rug is pulled out from under us.”
Neptune perennially puts a “veil around us” and can cloud our judgment, often making it harder for us to see clearly the situation around us. Neptune is also associated with treachery and deception, so we often don’t know who we can trust.
Not sure, of course, what is actually going on with Keith, or if any of this astrology stuff personally applies to him, or has any relevance to the events going on his life now, but am sure he’ll end up in the right place soon enough, with his allegiance of supporters. We wish Keith the very best.

“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.”Albert Einstein
The Universe must have great confidence in our multi-tasking abilities. Unless, it’s deliberately being sadistic with us! What I am alluding to here is the fact that we have several potent aspects stacked up on our plates today to existentially grapple with. Of course, the real biggie is the New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse at 13 degrees 39 minutes of Capricorn, the first lunation of the new year. We have six eclipses on tap for this year: four partial solar and two total lunar. We haven’t had this many partial solar eclipses in one year since 1982, the same year that Michael Jackson released “Thriller,” the biggest selling album of all time. Also, that was the year that the Vietnam Memorial was formally dedicated in Washington D.C., occurring only a few days before MJ’s “Thriller” release in late November 1982.
Ironically, the original chairman of the Vietnam Memorial project, John Wheeler, was found murdered this past New Year’s eve. His body was tragically found in a landfill in Delaware. Also, today, it’s kind of weird, but Dr. Conrad Murray begins to testify in a pre-trial hearing in a court in LA with respect to MJ’s death. Of course, neither of these events have anything to do with the eclipse today. Just two interesting parallels that I thought I’d point out, since I happened to stumble upon them by accident, when I was reviewing events in 1982 in Wikipedia for this blog today.
Solar and lunar eclipses are special new and full moons. They often usher in notable events, for both individuals and the collective. Eclipses often “speed things up.” They can suddenly open up new doors for us. Monthly new moons traditionally denote new opportunities, with the eclipse being somewhat the equivalent of a new moon on steroids. The impact of an eclipse can last up to six months. Too, sometimes the affects of an eclipse are not felt immediately.
The few days right before the eclipse are especially highly-charged, and it is on those days when we really want to think about, and formulate, our new moon intentions, and make time for serious prayer and meditation. Especially advisable for single women now: Profoundly meditating on the sacred image of George Clooney. This is largely because George also has his natal Moon in Capricorn, closely conjunct cautious Saturn. Just thought I’d throw that in here. So George doesn’t think we’re completely abandoning him, caught up in all the momentary hoopla of the red hot eclipse. 🙂 (Also, at this end of this blog, I have included a bit about a real-life dream that I just had about GC, if you’re interested in reading about it. It was really, more like a nightmare!)
Those who have planets or horoscope angles from 10 to 17 degrees of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), will likely be most impacted by this eclipse. Also, all of us need to note the house in our birth charts where the eclipse is occurring, as the affairs of that house now are definitely being energized, and likely awaiting prompt, eager response from our delicate little brains.
Of course, whether any of this “opening door” stuff will also coincide with the miraculous arrival of the Publisher’s Clearing House sweepstakes crew to our front door, is highly doubtful. Although, we should never entirely give up hope here. I, for instance, just ordered 320 new magazines for the year in an earnest bid to effortlessly guide the PCH folks to the exact location of my house. I also have pictures of the late, great Ed McMahon, posted on my street mailbox, and in them he’s further pointing the way to my front door, as I have known about this eclipse for many months now and its’ possible ramifications for my life, if I take certain, drastic measures.
Capricorn is symbolized by the goat climbing up the mountain, with the mountain personifying success. Capricorn wants to be successful in whatever it does, so this eclipse new moon will likely have the net affect of firing up our ambitions. It’s the perfect time to really get going on our new year’s resolutions, be it to lose weight, or become chairman of the board. Win the PCH sweepstakes.
Arianna Huffington, in her “Sunday Roundup” at The Huffington Post on Sunday, mentioned that, this year, she was “deleting” some things from her resolution list, that she earlier thought she would do one day, but realizes now that she will never do. She is checking these resolutions off “as complete,” and crossing them off her list, so she can focus on “freeing up space for those projects” she is truly committed to. This is very reflective of the typical Capricornian-mindset, which is very utilitarian and realistic in its approach.
Also read in the Wall Street Journalthat Oprah Winfrey doesn’t even make resolutions anymore. She was quoted in there as saying: “I don’t make them, because I live in the space that I’m in right now. I move with the flow, live in the moment.” I guess, that approach also has its useful (Capricorn) advantages to it, as with that philosophy, you are maximizing, or at least attempting to anyway, what the present has to offer, instead of focusing on a future that is not at all guaranteed. Although, Capricorn also tends to be very cautious, likes to always have a plan in place, and is generally not very impromptu.
A Capricorn eclipse most likely will not bring us rapid fire gains, but rather signifies success as a result of self-discipline, commitment, hard work, and being pragmatic. Capricorn is not comfortable getting dragged into any obscure, or pie-in-the-sky endeavors. It wants to know, from the get-go, what it is dealing with. This may be especially the case, this go-round, as the eclipse forms a tight square with Karma Lord Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn. Saturn perennially delights in holding our feet to the fire, making us accountable. Both Saturn, and Capricorn, are totally turned off by irresponsibility. It could be, too, that this eclipse coincides with a more difficult time for persons in positions of power or management. Especially for those who have been under-performing, as Capricorn rules authority figures, and the Sun denotes leadership.
With the “Saturn square,” too, we tend to be more critical (Saturn) of our leaders and higher-ups, much less willing to cut them any slack. Could be, too, this eclipse is a catalyst for changes in many corporate boardrooms around the world. Changes that could even trickle down to the local PTA hierarchy level. Maybe even into our own workplace offices. Of course, we also have the new U.S. Congress taking office, this week, with a Republican-controlled House, voted in on an apparent mandate to cut spending (synonymous with this Capricorn eclipse more “budget-minded” mentality).
Too, it appears that Capt. Owen Honors of the USS Enterprise is going to be officially relieved of his duties, perhaps as early as today, for airing lewd videos for his crew aboard the aircraft. While this airing actually occurred a few years ago, his activities were only really publicly brought to light on the eve of the eclipse. Fascinatingly, Jupiter and Uranus are exactly conjunct in Pisces now, the zodiacal sign which rules film-making. Jupiter-Uranus can bring about sudden revelations!
The Jupiter and Uranus exact conjunction in watering hole Pisces (7:50 am EST) is, in fact, a big player in today’s lunation chart. These two guys have become pretty good drinking buddies, as of late. They have been basically paired up with each other for the last six months or so. Mostly in caring, underdog, dreamy Pisces, a short time in adventurous Aries. They are both headed back to Aries this year. Jupiter and Uranus won’t be conjunct again, however, until 2024. So this aspect is big news.
Again, Jupiter-Uranus can bring sudden breakthroughs (esp. in science, technology, internet) that significantly change or alter the playing field, both individually and collectively. Mentally, we may also envision grander possibilities for ourselves, perhaps see things in a totally new light. This is because Jupiter tends to expand or grow our consciousness. It is the planet of opportunity and abundance. Innovator Uranus, denotes change, and sudden flashes of genius and intuition. Uranus additionally rules humanitarian causes, and equality issues. Pisces, too, is a very compassionate sign. President Obama, for instance, just signed a big bill on Monday to give 9/11 first responders health care benefits. Was there ever a group more deserving? I don’t think so. It is also very exciting that we have this upbeat conjunction in place with this more practical Capricorn eclipse, as it gives us a desire to dream big (Pisces rules dreams), yet at the same time we are aware that we must work hard to turn our dreams into reality.
Additionally with this Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in place, we recently saw the historic repeal of the DADT bill in the U.S., which prevented gays and lesbians from serving openly in the military, a big leap forward for our nation, in my opinion. Another example of Uranus coming to the plate for us for equality and civil rights issues. I also mentioned in the last eclipse report for late Dec., that this same conjunction in 1969 in the sign of Libra coincided with the first “Moon walk,” yet another leap for all of mankind.
Also, there was more news, yesterday, of a possibly big breakthrough in cancer screening, in which even just one cancer cell may be able to be detected in the body. Wouldn’t that be great? How many lives might be saved with early detection? My mother sadly died of cancer on January 3, 1996. I also lost my husband to cancer. Who among us had not lost somebody to cancer? I wager to say, none of us.
To discern this conjunction’s magical meaning in our own lives, we should look to see the house that it is falling in, in our personal charts, to see where we may be experiencing sudden breakthroughs, or be arriving at fresh new understandings. Maybe even where miracles may be occurring. And, of course, we may have been already experiencing some of these things for the last several months, as this is the final phase of this opportunity cycle. Also, those persons who have planets or angles in their horoscopes at 27 degrees of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) are going to be impacted the most by this final pairing of these two planets. I have my Jupiter at 27 Gemini, so, I guess, I am among the “chosen few” here. Could be because of my annual contribution to PCH. Jupiter in Gemini loves to read.
Finally, love goddess Venus (ruling relationships and money), presently deposited in the latter degrees of passionate Scorpio, also figures prominently in today’s lunation chart. Venus is exactly square to Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius, and she is also in a magical, harmonious trine to the Jupiter and Uranus conjunction.
Venus-Neptune is all about glamorizing or idealizing romance, having fantasy or phantom lovers (GC?), romantic involvement with individuals who are often, in reality, not at all as they appear to be on the surface. We can also fall head over heels for people who are not free (could be married or otherwise committed), or they are maybe on a different wavelength than us. We can also be tempted to play the role of martyr under this influence. Neptune rules actors. artists, musicians, creative types in general, so I guess now, I am personally very vulnerable since I have a crush on both Clooney (actor) and Jagger (musician). 🙂
Venus-Neptune is a classic deceptive marker, so we need to be very careful that we are not lied to and played like a fiddle for a short time, and then sadly dumped by the curbside for Monday morning garbage pick-up. New romantic relationships that strike up now need to be given the test of time, to see if the other person can really, “walk their talk,” and chew spearmint gum at the same time! Few can. Also, we may want to run in-depth background checks on these new lovers. Definitely we need to be cautious about giving them any of our hard-earned cash. Additionally, we may want to lock up our valuable art work, especially our prized “paint-by-number pieces,” as this is a shifty influence associated with art thefts!
Simultaneously, Venus in Scorpio trine Jupiter and Uranus in spiritual Pisces could signify for us the formation of new, expansive relationships and friendships with more “highly-evolved” types, who are into helping humanity. Or, we may also be more attracted to scientific types (Uranus) or inventors. Too, there’s a chance that we could even become infatuated with computer geeks (Uranus). This trine could also possibly denote the arrival of a soul mate, since Scorpio does rule past lives, and Venus rules lovers.
With Venus-Uranus, we are more attracted to, and or more accepting of, persons who maybe are a little bit different from us, or who are maybe more unconventional in general. Entertainment-wise, we may also want to engage in activities that wildly or radically deviate from our usual routine. We also may be want to participate in group activities now, which Uranus rules.
Too, Venus-Jupiter characteristically is all about indulging in fun and pleasure. It can be very romantic. Venus-Uranus often brings about sudden attractions. Instant love! But remember, we still need to get the new love interest fingerprinted and thoroughly checked out, just as a precaution, due to Venus-Neptune. Later on, if we see that there might be some real potential, we may also want to go ahead and carefully administer an upright vacuuming test. In addition to asking the person directly, how they really feel about passionately vacuuming alone in the dark, especially during an eclipse. Do they like it, or not? If no, why not? Again, with Venus-Neptune, we must probe. Probe, probe, probe. 🙂
“Lose your dreams and you might lose your mind” Mick Jagger. Especially if I lose my dream about you, Mick!
Okay. Now to my dream about George Clooney: I did actually have a dream/nightmare about George on New Year’s day, during a short “solo” nap alone (: in the middle of the day. In the weird thing, I remember looking out of my front living room window in my house, and seeing George standing in my front yard, with another nondescript man of color, who I did not recognize. The other guy was kind of a big guy. Probably his bodyguard.
George was wearing a sexy black leather jacket and faded blue jeans. But, to the best of my recollection, he did not appear to have any whips or chains under his arms, or at least, any that I could see, and trust me, I was looking for them. Unfortunately, too, in the dream, George ended up walking AWAY from my house with that guy, without even venturing to ring my doorbell. Symbolically, I took this as a very bad omen. He should have been walking TOWARDS my house instead. Don’t you think?
My house also probably signifies my physical body. A real slap in the face that George can’t even bring himself to ringing my bell! Does anyone out there do dream interpretation? Know maybe what this dream about Clooney may mean, or portend for me? Could it mean that I’m suppose to move perhaps more in the direction of Mick Jagger, with my natal, dual-lover, Venus in Gemini placement? Seek Mick out for my spiritual and emotional rescue? 🙂

Cosmic Weather:
Time to put a cork on this year!!!
We close out 2010 with a passionate Scorpio Moon deliciously conjunct “love maven” Venus (8:12 am EST). The Moon also trines “joyous preacher” Jupiter (2:12 pm EST), squares “can’t we all just get high” Neptune (2:34 pm EST), and trines “more brains than sense” Uranus (2:58 pm EST), who still has plenty of ants in his pants, and is rotating around very peculiarly, as usual.
After that stellar line-up, the “mildly inebriated” nocturnal Moon then exits, “I’ve had enough sex for a while” Scorpio, to cartwheel into “visionary” Sagittarius (8:22 pm EST). Here the Moon begins to really believe great things are possible now, and in store, for every one of us in 2011. Baby, if you can believe it, you can achieve it!!! Amen to that, bro!!! Really liking this optimistic Sag Moon energy to start off the New Year.
Miracles, man. Miracles!!! They can, and do, happen!!! Coupled with some hard work, and tons of prayer, and positive visualization. We can lose the weight in 2011! We can get that big job promotion! We can vacation in Cancun with George Clooney, without “you know who” tagging along! 🙂 (BTW, saw the pictures of Elisabetta Canalis and George in the HuffingtonPost.com last weekend. The two were vacationing in Mexico over the Christmas holiday. She was by his side wearing an itty bitty string bikini. She looked great. It was sickening!!! I cried for hours, then I threw up. I mean, how in the heck can we compete with that?)
I guess, George, you will just have to simply love us for our brilliant mind, in the future, and kindly overlook our declining physical form. Can you do that for us? Pretty, please? That’s all we humbly ask of you. Think substance over fluff, George. Remember, too, that you and I also technically share the same brain, with both our Mercury’s (mind) at 20 degrees of Taurus. A fact I will probably be reminding you of till my dying day. I’m also not fibbing. Look it up. Check with other astrologers. Get independent verification. It’s in your chart: Mercury at 20 degrees of Taurus, just like mine! Does Elisabetta have that with you? No, I dare say that she does not. In fact, probably only a few other people in the entire world share this same, exact Mercury placement with you. It is very rare, and very, very precious, this magical intellectual bond that we have between us. It most likely took many previous lifetimes (incarnations) of being together to have our brains and Mercurys conjoined this way. Yes, it’s definitely written in the stars again for this lifetime, too. No getting around it. One day soon, both you and I will be together, and joined, not only at the brain and planetary level, but in other ways too, George. Hopefully, a merging of additional body parts! Especially if I personally have anything to say about it! George, you’re a big star. But I have also been studying the big stars above, all my life, and do have some clout upstairs. I can sometimes arrange to have certain things happen with the powers that be. Too, we must continue to evolve our relationship George. It just makes perfect sense to do so.
Anyway, thinking about you endlessly today, George, on this lonely, lonely, arctic cold New Year’s eve. Another drama-filled night of vacuous vacuuming, alone in the dark. That’s most likely what awaits me tonight, George. You know that you could change all that, too, don’t you? In an instant. Yes, I’m just tidying the place up for you a bit, that’s what I’m doing. In case you decide, at the last minute, to pop in to give me a big New Year’s eve kiss. Melt my marshmallow heart forever.) 🙂
Really appreciate the three people reading my blog this past year. As I mentioned a couple days ago, not sure where I am taking this little critter in 2011. I feel like I can’t totally abandon it, as who in their right mind would ever want to adopt it and give it a loving new home? But, I will be either cutting way back on, or eliminating entirely, the daily horoscopes, as I do want to expand into some other fun things here, since I do have wild Uranus getting ready to cross my Ascendant.
Happy New Year’s Eve, everyone! Be safe. And, please, do not drink and drive.
“I’m really white trash.” George Clooney
Missing you, George. You also be careful tonight. Love ya’.
Well… guess I’m going to have to seek shelter tonight, and welcome in the new year, with that other great heartthrob of my life, Mick Jagger. A man I have loved with every fiber of my being since I was 11 years old. BTW, my affectionate, fickle, dual-lover, 13 degree Venus in Gemini is exactly conjunct Mick’s 13 degree Gemini Ascendant, another indication of true love in the highest and purest form. Plus, Mick is a Leo, with a Taurus Moon. His Moon is also tightly conjunct my Taurus Sun and Mercury. I also have a pulsating Leo Moon, a perfect match for Mick’s gyrating Leo Sun. Oh, if only Mick had the slightest clue about my existence, on this lonely, lonely New Year’s eve. Love ya’ Mick! Missin’ you, too! Wherever you are. Know, too, you could be with me tonight, Mick. You could be mine. All mine! You could be mine, you could be mine. All mine! It could be me, Mick, coming to “your” e-m-o-t-i-o-n-a-l rescue. The shoe on the other foot. Wonder if Mick likes vacuuming alone at night, with the shades seductively pulled all the way down? Maybe after walking Central Park all night? What do you think? Mick, if you do, I wouldn’t think you were crazy, either. Go ahead, sing to yourself and vacuum. It’s okay. Really. 🙂

COSMIC WEATHER:
The Hot Volcanic Sun conjuncts Stone Cold Saturn, Lord of Karma, in Partnership Libra. Since Saturn is exalted in Libra, he theoretically has “the upper hand” here, over the Sun. What this may mean is we could be feeling “a chill” descending upon our relationships today. With Sun-Saturn, it’s easier to feel “cut-off” and “alienated,” as the basic nature of Saturn is more fearful and restrictive.
Perhaps also due to more fear-based feelings, security issues may loom larger now within relationships. We may suddenly be more concerned with matters of commitment and or more preoccupied with our contractual obligations. We may also want to enter into contracts or agreements now as a way of making ourselves feel more secure and our positions solidified. In general, Saturn is associated with duties, responsibilities, limitations, and old-fashioned hard work. On Sun-Saturn days, there is usually very little for us in the way of “play” going on.
Sun conjunct Saturn is an excellent time for taking a “broad overview” of our life situation, as Saturn’s ray is very purposeful, utilitarian, and reflective. But, we do need to keep in mind here that we are viewing things from a much more serious perspective now, and our viewpoint may be “much lighter” in a few days.
On Sun-Saturn days, we are also often forced to deal with issues from our past (past karma). Often we give them closure at this time. In other cases, we may go back to doing things that we use to do, in the past, employing old strategies. Too, we may want keep a close eye on events impacting the collective now, particularly events involving shifts in power or pivotal, weightier matters from the past that resurface again and need to be resolved or immediately attended to.
The Moon’s entrance into Sensitive Cancer (9:47 am EDT) and its opposition to Defensive Pluto (2:56 pm EDT) is a time when we are potentially more vulnerable emotionally, so we need to be aware of this and try not to overreact. We do need to steer clear of power struggles with this more volatile Plutonian energy, especially alongside the Sun-Saturn.
On the plus side, Pluto can produce penetrating insights and make us privy to “top-secret” information. A corollary to this: We shouldn’t be too surprised if we hear about, or see, “double agents” roaming around in trench coats, wearing dark sunglasses.
