Cosmic Weather:

The Sun’s annual sojourn into plotting, secretive Scorpio comes to an official end, this morning (9:59 am), when it gallops into bright-eyed Sagittarius, the sign of The Archer, for the next thirty days. The Sun, symbolizing our ego and the basic urge to be, is very hopeful and futuristic in Sadge, meaning, in part, we’re now wanting to include as much of the world, as possible, into our groovy, wacky, earth plane laden existence.

Sagittarius season is normally a wonderful time of the year for learning, higher education, higher understanding, traveling, seeking out adventure, immersing ourselves into other cultures or belief systems, pitching or spinning our own impressive philosophical theories before all or anyone who will listen.

“Sometimes I lie awake at night and I ask, ‘Is life a multiple-choice test or is it a true or false test?’ …Then a voice comes to me out of the dark and says, “We hate to tell you this but life is a thousand-word essay.” Charles M. Schulz

The waning Moon is also in mingling Libra, this Friday. So we’re likely in a more affable, even-minded spirit, to close out the workweek.

Numerologically, the “number 22” (for November 22), also symbolizes the Master Builder or someone who’s able to adeptly or skillfully turn their dreams into reality. The Master Builder can also designate finesse with dealing with projects of a larger scope or magnitude.

Hope it’s a good one!

COSMIC WATCH:

The Moon’s foray into practical, earthy Taurus (9:36 am) potentially makes today an excellent day to attend to money and possession matters. The Moon is considered to be exalted when it is in Taurus, a sign that is ruled by sweet Venus.

Too, the Moon is making its monthly conjunction with fortuitous Jupiter (11:38 am) ideally helping to put us in a more positive, generous frame of mind. Moon-Jupiter is seen as a more expansive influence that can align us with fresh opportunities.

Later, the Moon’s trine to transforming Pluto (10:39 pm) serves to heighten our emotions and passions. This is also regarded as a very good time to de-clutter, if we are so inclined. Too, when we rid ourselves of what is outworn or no longer needed, this allows for new pleasures and experiences to come into our lives.

“Clutter-clearing is modern-day alchemy.” – Denise Linn

COSMIC WEATHER:

“If we’re growing, we’re always going to be out of our comfort zone.” – John Maxwell

Expansion is the keyword for us today, as the powerhouse Sun annually conjoins Jupiter (10:41 am), the largest planet in our solar system associated with growth and opportunity. With Sun-Jupiter, we tend to think big. We also are more inclined to look at the bigger picture.

Psychologically, it is thought that we don’t want to be confined or hemmed in any way now. We also may tend to have more faith that things will work out, as long as we hold on to the dream.

Astrology refers to Jupiter as the “planet of luck” or abundance. It’s associated with prosperity or an easing of circumstances.

Traditionally, Jupiter has been described as having a more protective quality to it. Jupiter is also linked with faith, optimism, and our own sense of humor. Too, a case could be made that when we are more optimistic and positive (Jupiter), we often seem to attract more positive things to us i.e. the “law of attraction.”

So, with Sun-Jupiter today, we may consider doing things that help to broaden our scope of influence. Make us feel that we are growing versus stagnating. Perhaps heed John Maxwell and get out of our comfort zone and do something grand!

This Sun-Jupiter conjunction is also occurring in “initiating” Aries, the adventurous sign of “new beginnings.”

Fascinatingly, a quick peak back into history also shows that the very last time the Sun and Jupiter had their meetup in pioneering Aries, “Nunavut,” an Inuit homeland, was created from the eastern portion of the Northwest Territories to become Canada’s third territory (April 1, 1999). So, Canada literally “grew” in scope with Sun conjunct Jupiter.

Also back on that date, both the Sun and Jupiter were exactly trine to transforming Pluto in visionary Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter), which was also a good time to symbolically “restructure” (Pluto) things.

The “shadow side” of Sun-Jupiter: We may need to be careful that we are not too wasteful or extravagant with our resources. That we don’t over-commit or over-promise. We also may need to guard against over-indulgence.

Some famous people born with Sun conjunct Jupiter: Mick Jagger, Woody Allen, Garth Brooks, and Anais Nin.
