With the waxing Moon in quality-control Virgo, all day, and inconjunct to the pioneering Aries Sun (8:12 pm), today appears to be an excellent time to put on our stylish thinking caps and perhaps try to find some new solutions, or at least maybe effective strategies, for dealing with some of the more puzzling problems or issues that we maybe have been sweeping under the proverbial rug for a while. We also have an extra cognitive edge now with Mars, the ruler of the Aries Sun, simultaneously transiting through innovative, breakthrough Aquarius. Also, expansive Jupiter is still tightly conjunct investigative Pluto, in pragmatic Capricorn, a very intense transformational energy that, ideally, allows us to zero-in to the core of things to figure out exactly what’s needed to remedy or correct situations, with Pluto symbolizing, among other things, regenerative healing and X-ray vision.

With the waxing Moon, in commanding Leo, trining the enterprising Aries Sun (3:29 pm) there’s more of an innate desire to want to move forward in some perceived “consequential way” today. Ideally, this energetic, fire sign alignment can also inspire or encourage us to act with greater amounts of courage or self-confidence.

Of course, intellectual Mercury’s annual conjunction with foggy Neptune (9:15 pm) is also likely to blur, or at least obscure, a portion of the path that is directly before us now, so we will probably need to just safely assume that some of what we undertake, at the moment, will also possibly need to be retooled or recalibrated later, when more information is known or made available.

We may also want to be a bit on the skeptical side if something we hear, see, or read seems “too good to be true” as Neptune’s ray can, on the shadow side, be very deceptive, vague, or misleading. On the plus side, Mercury-Neptune can be excellent for more creative or imaginative pursuits. It can also increase our sensitivity or compassion for others as well as raise our level of intuitive awareness.

(Interestingly, Neptune also rules oil, and President Trump is meeting with big oil executives, this afternoon, at the White House to discuss the historic slump in oil prices. Yesterday, President Trump told CNBC “Saudi Arabia and Russia may soon announce a big production cut,” which led to the biggest one-day jump in West Texas Intermediate oil futures ever. – From CNBC.com)

Social Venus also enters breezy Gemini, this afternoon (1:11 pm), where it will remain until August 7th (due to an upcoming retrograde cycle). While Venus in Mercury-ruled Gemini is more emotionally-detached, she is also highly curious, and friendly, and thoroughly enjoys communicating, learning, and discussing or sharing ideas. Hopefully, Venus in Gemini will also be a boon or good match for all the online classes or homeschooling, occurring now, in the wake of the recent, temporary closures of many physical schools due to the COVID-19 virus.

Tarot Card For The Day: The Justice Card, which suggests that this is, perhaps, a good day for reflecting upon how our past actions may have brought us to the place where we are now. With so much uncertainty and disruption presently swirling around us, it’s pretty easy to become emotionally overwhelmed or to feel a bit more anxious, in general, about our daily lives. That’s why it’s also perhaps more important than ever to treat ourselves and others with special kid gloves now, if we can, which is what the more “humanistic” Mars-Neptune energy, today, ideally helps us to achieve.

This more “ego-subduing” influence generally raises our levels of sensitivity, caring, and compassion. It can also serve to remind us that, no matter what, “we’re all in this together,” (Neptune in Pisces) – even though we may also have to (ironically) erect some boundaries between ourselves and others temporarily now (Mars in Capricorn), so as to keep those bonds intact in the future.

Mars-Neptune energy often marks a time when we’re called upon to make personal sacrifices for the welfare of others or the collective.

This more “otherworldly” aspect can also be positive for such things as self-reflection, meditation, yoga, or breathwork.

Too, the “permeable” Pisces Sun’s sextile to “controlling” Pluto, in structuring Capricorn, once again, seems to be spotlighting for us now, among other things, an ever-growing awareness or consensus of the need to take more extreme measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 (Pisces rules viruses) and how these overtures are dramatically working to reshape (Pluto) our world, at least in the short-term.

On the plus side, it’s also an excellent planetary influence for retooling the approaches that we take for dealing with issues as it can provide us with greater clarity or insight.

Also, expansive Jupiter’s applying conjunction to Pluto continues to showcase the enormous volume of resources and actions that are being marshaled by many governments and businesses (Capricorn) and other entities, such as hospitals (Pisces) to deal with all the ramifications of this generational health crisis.

On a a more personal level, Sun-Pluto energy can mark a time of profound inner renewal. It’s also a great day for any purging, recycling, or refurbishing projects.

While it may be a bit of stretch, during these more challenging times, to envision jolly Santa on his sleigh descending upon us with a giant bag of goodies, nevertheless we still might be treated to the next best thing today via the compassionate Pisces Sun’s sextile to philanthropical Jupiter, the planet that is often billed as the “Cosmic Santa” (8:27 am).

This forward-thrusting Sun-Jupiter aspect ideally inspires us to envision and plan for a brighter tomorrow, in part, by generously sowing seeds of hope or encouragement, or by diligently exercising or adhering to our faith in ourselves or a higher power. We may be feeling now more of a tug inside to include our dreams, hopes, or spiritual perspectives into our real-world objectives (Jupiter sextile Neptune at 10:56 am) – even though the full implementation on how to practically do all this may not be completely apparent to us yet. Fortunately, Jupiter and Neptune will be aligning twice more, this year (in July and October), so, hopefully, we should be able to put this thing in the bag!

Generally, the Jupiter-Neptune energy is wonderful for doing any kind of intuitive, creative, or charitable work. We may also want to pay closer attention to any synchronicities going on around us now as they could be very revealing and also play a pivotal part in helping us to more intentionally carve out our future path (or to hook up to our soul’s destiny).

Jupiter-Neptune can often feel very magical in how it plays out. It’s like the veil between the world of matter and spirit is lifted now, and we can catch glimpses of the Great Beyond!

Tarot Card For The Day: The Six of Swords. This suggests both a cycle of completion and moving on or a moving forward. While this card usually denotes progress, we still may have to find a way to manage some residual doubts or fears about the future based upon the experiences of our recent past. With Luna shifting into professionally ambitious Capricorn (at 5:37 am) and then conjuncting assertive Mars (at 8:16 am), we may feel a bit like we have to take the world by storm, this morning.

Also, a waning lunar trine to progressive Uranus in Taurus (at 11:45 am) may elevate our receptivity to incorporating new methods or ideas, experimenting with novel ways of money management, or perhaps motivate us to examine different kinds of investment strategies.

This is also the last day for the ego-oriented Sun’s annual tour through avant-guard Aquarius, as it will shift into compassionate Pisces, very late tonight (11:57 pm). It will remain in the sign of the fishes, until March 19th.

With Pisces also being the last sign of the zodiac, it’s a little like we’ve seen it all, done it all, and now we’re simply ready, at this point, to pull the shade down on the whole world so as to contemplate, for a while, What the heck does it all mean? 🙂

Pluto, at the time, was retrograde and at 17 degrees of Cancer.

We start out our Monday with the waning Moon ensconced in optimistic Sagittarius, obviously doing her best to get us inspired for the new week ahead.

Visionary Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system. It’s also the planet that governs the growth process in the body. When we’re inspired or have something to look forward to, that’s really how we stay creatively engaged in life and keep our precious life force energy flowing vibrantly inside us. Interestingly too, Jupiter symbolizes the arterial blood, which carries oxygen and nutrients away from the heart, the ruling center of our whole being, to the billions of tissues in our body.

Today is also the first full day for Mars in Capricorn, the sign of its exaltation. Mars in Saturn-ruled Capricorn can help us to become more measured or focused in the actions that we take, often allowing us to realize our goals with less energy, which is always a good thing as who among us doesn’t want to be able to do more, with less. Too, it appears we’re in extra good company now as genius Albert Einstein also had his natal Mars in Capricorn. Of course, whether that automatically means that we’ll finally be able to figure out the cryptic meaning of E = mc2  probably remains doubtful, especially with intellectual Mercury now retrograde in spacey Pisces. 🙂

The Last Quarter Moon in intense Scorpio takes center-stage today (at 5:17 pm). This lunar phase could highlight or underscore for us where we may be overly invested emotionally, or where we may be holding on too tightly (to the past), and how that more rigid-like stance could be undermining the positive growth that we’ve intended or envisioned for ourselves (Sun in Aquarius).

Fortunately, shortly after the LQM occurs Luna also sextiles Saturn (at 5:20 pm), which should give us an ability to capitalize on our past experiences with respect to managing any present issues; Moon-Saturn tends to be more stabilizing for the emotions. It’s also good energy for working out home or family concerns.

This is also the last full day that assertive Mars will be in adventurous Sagittarius so there could be a final, last-minute push or desire to chase our dreams, stretch our horizons. On a collective level, we could also possibly see pivotal developments in the legal arena, such as important trials coming to an end.

The Moon, symbolizing women, was also in diversity welcoming Sagittarius, the Jupiter-ruled sign that formally governs the law and courts. With Luna fully submerged in secretive Scorpio all day, we should be cosmically cleared to “claim the fifth” now without invoking too much pushback from the gods. 🙂

This is also a good day for coming to deeper intellectual realizations about what’s perhaps fueling some of our passions or desires or driving our emotions (Moon trine Mercury). Too, indulging in this sort of inner reflection could potentially trigger within us a sense of growing optimism about the future (Moon sextile Jupiter) and hopefully confirming for us that, yes, we’re on the right track!

Another benefit of the Moon-Jupiter meetup (at 11:52 pm) is that it can add a nice degree of emotional warmth/emotional acceptance to our persona, ideally helping us to confidently connect or mingle with others in a positive, more supportive way.

Tarot Card For The Day: The Emperor, which fits in nicely with the more controlling or authoritative Scorpio Moon archetype. The Emperor card suggests that “we’ve got this,” that we’re ready to show the world that we’re in charge now and able to deftly whip out our ‘A’ game, if need be.
