Cosmic Weather:

“Friends don’t spy; true friendship is about privacy, too.” Stephen King

With Luna fully submerged in secretive Scorpio all day, we should be cosmically cleared to “claim the fifth” now without invoking too much pushback from the gods. 🙂

This is also a good day for coming to deeper intellectual realizations about what’s perhaps fueling some of our passions or desires or driving our emotions (Moon trine Mercury). Too, indulging in this sort of inner reflection could potentially trigger within us a sense of growing optimism about the future (Moon sextile Jupiter) and hopefully confirming for us that, yes, we’re on the right track!

Another benefit of the Moon-Jupiter meetup (at 11:52 pm) is that it can add a nice degree of emotional warmth/emotional acceptance to our persona, ideally helping us to confidently connect or mingle with others in a positive, more supportive way.

*All times EST.

Tarot Card For The Day: The Emperor, which fits in nicely with the more controlling or authoritative Scorpio Moon archetype. The Emperor card suggests that “we’ve got this,” that we’re ready to show the world that we’re in charge now and able to deftly whip out our ‘A’ game, if need be.

Today’s Numerology for February 14: There’s a quirky (Aquarian), restless (Mercury) vibe to 2-14 which can manifest in intellectual brilliance or sarcastic wit. Also, there’s more of a desire for personal freedom yet also the ability to be part of a progressive team.

This Day in History: On February 14, 1747, astronomer James Bradley presented his discovery of the wobbling motion of the Earth on its axis to the Royal Society in London.

In the heavens that day, communicator Mercury was conjunct breakthrough Uranus in innovative Aquarius (also the zodiacal sign which rules science and astronomy). Both planets were also square to pioneering Mars in investigative Scorpio.

Born On This Day: Frederick Douglass, in 1818 (d. 1895) an African American abolitionist, lecturer, and editor who was also an escaped slave. Douglass once wrote: If there is no struggle, there is no progress.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope it’s a good one!
