Happy Sunday! The Moon in rejuvenating Scorpio today invigorates our passions! We’re feeling things very deeply now. And, also wanting some alone time. There are moments of transcendence (2:30 pm ET Moon trine Neptune) and periods of tangible success (5:21 pm ET Moon sextile Saturn).

Down below, is also another look at a blog I wrote back on February 21, 2012, about the New Moon in Pisces, that day. At the time, the New Moon was also conjunct the planet Neptune, which will also be the case with the upcoming Pisces New Moon on March 6, 2019.  I also talk about Pope Benedict and Whitney Houston in it. I always like to write about what’s going on in the collective, in my blogs, because I think the outer, often reflects the inner. It’s also good, in my opinion, to have the past as a point of reference for today. To sort of check out the overlap, if any.  Anyway, hope you enjoy it!

On a personal note, I’m in the middle of a big move now, so my life is a bit topsy-turvy. Don’t have much time for blogging. Barely have time to breath! But, will be back with you soon! I also want you to know that I, very much, appreciate all of you reading my blog.

Blessings,

Patrice Thompson

COSMIC WATCH:

A New Moon in “compassionate” Pisces is taking place today (5:35 pm EST). We have a chance to align ourselves with the more “soulful” vibrations of this sign, as a way of renewal now. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, a space in which we put aside our ego and earthly ambitions to focus on nurturing our “inner world,” the domain of our feelings, dreams, imagination, creativity and intuition. In The Power of Intention, Wayne Dyer writes that our imagination is “God within us.”

Today’s New Moon is also conjunct “transcendent” Neptune in Pisces, something that has not happened in 165 years. Neptune is the modern day ruler of Pisces. It is also the planet that formally governs our imagination. Neptune is linked with prophecy, scripture, clerics, mystics, saints, angels, artists, poets, musicians, and healers. Neptune and Pisces also preside over those persons who could be described as “downtrodden,” or down on their luck. Also, they both govern disenfranchised elements, minority groups, civil rights’ matters, and individuals with addiction issues.

Interestingly, on the eve of the Sun’s conjunction with Neptune, last weekend, Pope Benedict announced seven new saints and also appointed 22 new Cardinals. Too, we had the high-profile funeral or “going home” ceremony for singer Whitney Houston, someone who also publicly struggled with substance abuse issues. On another level, Neptune rules oil, and headlines about rising gas prices have been dominating the news, the last few days.

We will want to note “the house” in our personal horoscopes that the New Moon is falling in, as that is the area of our life where we may be feeling more of a need for reflection now. It is also where we have a chance to be more creative, and where we can set powerful new intentions for ourselves. Too, it may be where we may be called upon to give back to others now. “The value of a man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving.” Albert Einstein

“Some New Moon in Pisces activities: going on spiritual retreats; meditation; yoga and breath work; house blessings; photography; film-making; acting; painting; dancing and choreography; singing and songwriting; swimming; fishing; boating; spa treatments; costume-design; beauty-makeovers; purchasing cosmetics; volunteering; pet rescue and adoption; going to plays, movies; psychic development; séances; random acts of kindness; visiting shut-ins or others who are confined; tithing; pardoning, and other acts of forgiveness.

Happy New Moon Blessings!

Today’s Astrology February 22, 2019: Not Quite Ready For Prime Time

Cosmic Weather:

“It is always the novice who exaggerates.” C.S. Lewis

Mercury in Pisces squares Jupiter in Sagittarius (3:40 pm)

While we may be very jazzed up about our ideas, beliefs, and points of view today, including, perhaps, very eager and ready to perform full-fledged Jupiterian proselytizations on anyone who will give us just five minutes, chances are that we’re not quite ready for prime time yet! At least, that is, our ideas, etc. might not be fully ready for their big Broadway stage debuts. Had to clarify that! Of course, we’re ready! We’re always ready! 🙂

Often with Mercury square Jupiter in play, there’s a tendency for us to overpromise, overexaggerate, and bloviate, in general. We’re also more prone to overlooking key details because we’re less inclined to want to concentrate our attention now. Still, though, today can be a fun, stimulating time for conversation, or for writing. Especially in the first half of the day, as this energy is applying.  That’s because, again, there’s a certain largeness to our thinking now that feels very positive. Our mental faculties are also being s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d. Mercury in Pisces is also already in its shadow phase, getting ready to turn retrograde on March 5, so we’re going to have this Mercury-Jupiter square, two more times, before it’s all over. Hopefully, we’ll get to see more of this evolving picture, each time it occurs. Eventually knowing exactly what to do! Anyway, hope always springs eternal here!

Venus Conjuncts Pluto in Capricorn (10:49 pm)

“Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.” Anais Nin

As we move more into the second half of the day, we’re likely going to be feeling more of the emotional intensity of the Venus-Pluto conjunction. This aspect can make us especially want to go deeper with our relationships, and to look at things that we may have not wanted to face before. But, now, we’re likely wanting to get to the bottom of things, maybe about ourselves, another person, or a situation, possibly because we no longer want to be living a lie, or an illusion. Or, things may have also reached a critical point now, where there’s no longer even an option of our turning back.

Additionally, we may also want to be healed now from whatever has been weighing us down, or holding us back. There’s definitely a lot of raw emotion out there now. And, ideally, it can be used for transformational purposes. But, first, we must scale to the depths and be willing to look at, unflinchingly, the true nature of things. See what comes up for us from below, and then release it, or try let it go.

It’s also interesting now that, with this Venus-Pluto conjunction taking place in authoritative Capricorn, Pope Francis is hosting a historic summit on combatting clergy sex abuse in the Catholic Church. On the shadow side, Venus-Pluto is sometimes associated with sexual abuse. Pluto specifically governing such things as sexually deviant or hidden or clandestine forms of behavior, violating sexual taboos, fetishes, obsessions, and even hate crimes. It can also translate into our wanting to be on a power trip of sorts. Wanting to, perhaps, exert maximum control over others for our own selfish purposes or gratification. Or, on the flip side, we may encounter or hear about individuals now who behave in this manner. Today, Pope Francis (b. 12/17/36) also has, in his natal chart, transiting Mars exactly conjunct his Uranus in Taurus in his tenth house of career and public standing. Mars-Uranus often signifying a powerful period when a person is called upon to initiate (Mars) radical reforms (Uranus). Uranus right now, too, is at 29 degrees of pioneering Aries, a critical degree in which we often feel compelled to take last-minute or final action on something that has been building for a while. What’s more, Pope Francis has his natal midheaven at 0 degrees of Taurus! So Uranus is getting ready to cross over it, in a few days. It’s likely that today’s summit is just the beginning, or a sampling, of what is probably going to be unfolding, in the future, around the Pope, and with the church, for a long time to come.

On another level, this can also be a time when we get more reality-focused about our finances, including possibly wanting to take measures to turn things around for the positive.

UPDATED: More Venus-Pluto high-profile type stories in the headlines today! This afternoon, singer R. Kelly was reportedly charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, some involving underage victims, according to US media reports.  Also, Patriots owner Robert Kraft was, the billionaire owner of the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots, was charged today with two counts of soliciting sex as part of a wide-ranging investigation into prostitution and suspected human trafficking in South Florida (New York Times).

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs are people who have come alive.” Howard Thurman

COSMIC WEATHER:

Connection queen Venus, symbolizing the urge for love and beauty in our lives, is conjunct Pluto in Capricorn on Feb. 22 (at 10:49 pm EST). With this aspect, relationships can potently transform us now. We may also have more of a need for intense emotional experiences. What has been buried and hidden in our subconscious (Pluto), our deepest desires and feelings, could also rise to the surface now. Too, Venus-Pluto can, on occasion, bring us our “soul mates,” or important alliances from our past. Even new, short-term relationships are more likely to impact us now on a deeper emotional level. On the shadow side, because Pluto also symbolizes our urge for power and control, this energy sometimes finds us acting manipulatively or being too possessive, especially if we feel that our relationships are being threatened or undermined in any way.

On a professional level, this influence can also be excellent for networking as we are likely to be much more persuasive.

Enjoy your day!

Cosmic Weather:

“Our abilities to understand, adjust, and change make us wise.” – Debashish Mridha M.D.

Moon in Virgo:

Don’t you just love to hear the phrase, “May I help who’s next?” when you’re the one who’s next in line? Especially if you’ve been waiting seemingly forever to be waited on? Anyway, today has this same kind of feel to it. Sort of like we’re having to stand in line, conduct our official business, do some revisions or rewrites with respect to our projects or plans before we’re allowed to bust out of the gate. Even then, we’re likely not going to be busting out of anything now, but rather moving ahead at more of a slow, cautious pace. The Moon is still in perfecting Virgo, and Mama Virgo is doing her thing! Committed to continuing her heroic efforts to whip us into shape! Plus, with Luna’s trine to transforming Pluto in Capricorn, later today (8:51 pm), it could be she may actually be able to work a miracle or two for us!

Moon trine Pluto favors restorations or refurbishings, decluttering, detox efforts, succession-planning, and panning for gold (both internally and externally).

Sun in Pisces semi-square Saturn in Capricorn:

This aspect kind of plays right into the hands of the corrective Virgo Moon energy to the extent that it can make us feel, on the shadow side, that we’re not good enough as we are. That we should possibly strive, instead, to conform to some kind of hallowed cultural yardstick of what is uniformly exemplary or acceptable. Of course, we don’t need to buy into this type of self-limiting or self-abnegating doctrine. Better to focus our efforts on building affirmatively upon how we already are, or how we want to be, and taking empowering action to move into that direction. “It is not as much about who you used to be, as it is about who you choose to be.” Sanhita Baruah. On another level, sometimes this planetary aspect can coincide with our having to shift course, or needing to cut our losses with something.

Sun semi-square Saturn also favors, among other things, taking preventive health measures to possibly shore up our bones or dental health. May also be a time when we re-consider or revise some of our plans for retirement.

On This Day in History: On February 20, 1962, John Glenn becomes the first American to orbit the Earth, aboard Friendship 7. Mars (pioneering) and Jupiter (expansion) were both in Aquarius, the sign which governs space travel. Analytical Mercury had also just stationed direct in research-oriented Virgo, the sign of its rulership, and was getting ready to conjunct transformative Pluto. Mercury-Pluto aspects, especially the conjunction, are often associated with deep or intense life-altering experiences that can drastically change our perceptions or consciousness about something.

Cosmic Weather:

“When your imagination’s at work, your dreams make sense.” Anthony T. Hincks

Have you ever struggled to put something together, manually? Let’s say maybe a paperclip. And, you all have these supposed “easy-to-assemble” instructions, right before you, but you still can’t figure out how to assemble the darn thing? Well, in a left-handed way, I guess that’s sort of how I feel about today’s Full Moon in instructional and corrective Virgo. As I was meditating on the meaning of this lunation this morning, in preparation for this blog, all of a sudden, I got inundated with an avalanche of assorted details. Including receiving a hallucinatory vision (Mercury conjunct Neptune in Pisces) of a 32-page colored report, with perfect margins, of everything that is wrong in my present-day life! It’s like, how in the heck do I even begin to right the ship? 🙂

Virgo the Virgin, as you probably know, is number six in the zodiac lineup. Or, is midway through it, in other words. Kind of tucked away in obscurity. (Where it frickin’ belongs!) Of course, usually when you get to the middle of anything is often when the plot thickens or twists, including when some things may begin to break down. Even in the body, Virgo governs the intestines, which are located in the middle region of the body, and also where food particles are broken down for digestion. Too, if your diet is not that good and you’re eating a lot of the wrong things, such as maybe stuffing your face with pimento cheese sandwiches and washing it all down with a gallon of Irish whiskey for breakfast, your stomach and intestines will probably let you know, pretty fast, that you’re screwing up. And you’ll, no doubt, be receiving several lashes for penance while having to listen to Virgoan recorded messages prompting you to eat your dang vegetables instead. Including yucky broccoli!

Moving right along.

Trying to keep everything very simple and orderly for you here, today. Because we do have, again, intellectual Mercury, the Virgo Full Moon’s official ruler, exactly conjunct psychedelic, mushroom-eating Neptune now. Folks, there’s no wait out of this one, unfortunately. I’m sorry.

Waiting any moment to be taken away by space aliens in little white coats…

Yes, with an illuminating Full Moon in troubleshooting Virgo, at this moment in time, we’re essentially checking under the hood. Seeing how everything is working. Or not working. Maybe we need a smidgeon of antifreeze under our arms. Or on our hips. Or our lips, perhaps, need to be pumped up or inflated with a pound or two of more air to better resemble Kim Kardashian’s. Just typical body maintenance stuff.

But, wait! There’s more! That was just for starters! 🙂

Then there’s the whole other matter of the cleanaholic Virgo Full Moon likely wanting to invade our home space today! Holding us hostage, no doubt, with an industrial-sized vacuum cord, tied around our neck, and a Swiffer Sweeper thrusted under our arm so we can gather up all the dirt, and other crap, that’s been accumulating, exponentially, since who knows when. The fact is, too, we haven’t really been able to see any of this gook, all that well, until this god-awful Virgo Full Moon shows up! Plus, it’s a darn SuperMoon to boot! Making its impact that much worse!  Now, the darn dustballs are glaring at us! The cobwebs are staging a Uranian-type revolt! And, the dirty laundry in the clothes hamper is starting to come to life, twisting and shouting, and foaming at the mouth. Kinda like Linda Blair in the Exorcist!

Well, maybe it’s not quite that bad.

But, then there’s the matter of…

And then…

Oh, no!

Please, please! Can’t somebody pull down the frickin’ shade!

I can’t take it anymore!

I swear, I’ll eat my vegetables! 🙂

Enjoy your day! Full Moon Blessings to you!

Astrology February 18, 2019: Venus Conjunct Saturn, Chiron in Aries

Chiron enters Aries, sun sextile uranus, venus conjunct saturn, Venus sextile Neptune

Cosmic Weather:

“If you want something new, you have to stop doing something old.” – Peter Drucker

The day begins with the empowering Sun in Aquarius sextile progressive Uranus in Aries (2:54 am). This aspect tends to foster opportunities for innovation, taking new approaches, breaking with convention, and overall expressions of individuality. Since this is also a waning sextile from the Sun to Uranus, it could be that we are seeing some past actions of a Uranian nature coming to a culmination or fruition now. Additionally, this alignment favors technological or scientific breakthroughs, group involvement, and or getting behind or supporting ideological causes that we feel very passionate about.

Venus Conjunct Saturn (5:52 am): Venus in Capricorn today activates, again, the more long-term Saturn-Neptune sextile that I wrote about yesterday when Venus sextiled Neptune. Venus conjunct Saturn is an excellent follow-up to that aspect, as it allows us to become very grounded in our outlook about the physical world, including our financial picture, our possessions, our love relationships. This is a perfect day to reflect upon what it is that we really value and want around us. Also, what we need to release from our lives. In some cases, Venus-Saturn conjunctions can also coincide with actual breakups or separations from others. When this happens, it’s normally because those alliances have run their natural course and it’s time to move on. In general, with Venus-Saturn aspects we are working to stabilize or firm up or better our circumstances. This kind of planetary energy allows us to manage our resources, including teaching us how to do more with less. Overall, we want to really feel a sense of richness or prosperity around us now, a sense of security, be it emotional security or material security. We also want commitment and focus from others. Yesterday, the Venus-Neptune hopefully made us more aware of the non-material resources that we are in possession of, such as our creativity, our vision, our spiritual linkage to the Divine.

Sun enters Pisces (6:04 pm) – This annual journey of the Sun into more spiritual, compassionate Pisces, serves to remind us, in part, that there is more to our world than what meets the eye. Pisces, as the last sign of the zodiac, symbolizes an amalgamation of all that has come before it. It represents the last stage of our developmental journey. The illuminating Sun in Pisces usually marks a period when we are naturally drawn to turning within in a bid to process or integrate all that we’ve been through. There’s also usually greater feeling and consideration for the plights of others now.

“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.”  Pierre Tielhard de Chardin

Chiron leaves Pisces for Aries today: Chiron, the Wounded Warrior, moving into Aries, the sign of our self-identity, suggests, among other things, that we have an opportunity to not only go deeper with discovering our own self-truth but also now have a chance to stand in it, which sometimes can take a lot of courage to do. Chiron typically makes us aware of our greatest emotional vulnerabilities, or where we may still be feeling the sting of old wounds, and, in the process, it offers us a way to heal ourselves and move on. “Freeing yourself was one thing, claiming ownership of that freed self was another.” Toni Morrison. Chiron will remain in Aries until 2027. I’ll be writing much more about Chiron in Aries in the future here.

Lastly, the Moon is also still in theatrical Leo, all day, allowing us to do things up with lots of flair or fanfare. The Moon’s trine to optimistic Jupiter in Sagittarius this evening (7:00 pm) is also excellent for entertaining, mixing with people from diverse backgrounds, conducting business meetings, and philanthropical gestures.

*All times EST.

Enjoy your Monday! Hope it’s a great week ahead for you! Tomorrow we also have the healing Full Moon in Virgo!

Cosmic Weather:

“Don’t be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth.” Rumi

Have you ever gone to that proverbial drawing board with the best of intentions to be creative or imaginative, and absolutely zilch happened? It’s like you suddenly morph into a zombie or something and you end up just sitting there, twiddling your thumbs. If you can even muster that much! What’s even worse is when you look all around you, and you see all these cool things created by other people! and you’re thinking to yourself, “Why in the world did I have to get stuck with such a lousy, god-awful imagination? Is it possible payback or retribution, perhaps, for an ancient karmic misdeed, or something? 🙂

Isn’t it also humbling and mind-boggling, too, when you step outside into nature and you see all this brilliantly choreographed magnificence and beauty everywhere? Or, you look into the heavens through a telescope, and it’s as if the complicated universe never stops unfolding! There is just so much amazing mystery and wonderment surrounding us, all the time, and yet many of us never really even think much about it because we are often so preoccupied with all the daily, mundane, personal stuff. Yet, we also have it so much better, in many ways, with respect to countless others who lived before us, in other time periods, who often had to struggle to just make it to age 30 or 40.

“The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.” Sylvia Plath

And yet, regardless of everything, hope springs eternal for another glorious chance to possibly shine or dazzle, or to come into our own, in our optimal roles as co-creators with the universe! Or, so it seems, at least for today anyway, with sweet, artistic Venus, the Goddess of Love and Beauty, forming a lovely sextile aspect with compassionate Neptune, the official Kingpin of Imagination (3:45 am).  The Venus-Neptune hookup today also activating the ongoing, more long-term Saturn-Neptune sextile that has been in operation since the end of January and will continue in effect, on and off, for most of this year. This aspect between these two planetary heavyweights, Saturn and Neptune, is, theoretically, ideal for helping us turn our dreams, creativity, and visions (Neptune) into reality or tangible form (Saturn).

Cosmic Weather:

“The ache for home lives in all of us. The safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.” Maya Angelou

Isn’t it fascinating how time seems to pass by so much more slowly when we are younger? Then, when we are older, especially, perhaps, into our fifties and sixties, it just seems to fly by! We may, of course, wage noble efforts, periodically, to attempt to slow time down, by filling our days with all kinds of, what we hope will be, momentous or memorable activities, in a bid, consciously or subconsciously, to make our lives more interesting, meaningful and impactful. But, nevertheless, quietly in the background, there is no denying. The steady, Saturnian tick, tick, tick of the clock, marches on!

When the Moon is passing through maternal Cancer, the sign of our roots, as it is doing so today, we often find ourselves more naturally drawn to matters of the past, that seemingly endless region of our lives where the hands of time are often rather blurred or imprecise. The sound of the tick, more soothingly muted. No doubt, for our mental health! Sometimes, too, when we are recalling a good time in the past, this retro visitation can be like returning back to a favorite restaurant and ordering something tried and true from a menu that we know we already like. We just order the same ole’ same ole’ and, voila, something magical happens and everything is, seemingly, peachy keen again with our present-day world. We have enjoyably dined on the reliable fare of the past and we know that we can handle whatever it is that is before us, as we are survivors, by golly! 🙂

On this Saturday in mid-February, Lady Luna in Cancer is one very busy chick! Having meetups with Mercury, Venus, Neptune, Saturn, and Pluto. Yes, it appears that Missy Silvery Night Sky has overbooked herself, but there is not much to do about it now. Also, how boring life would be without a little bit of drama. Right? Okay. So Luna’s conversation with Chronos-ruling Saturn could (12:40 pm) could get a little problematic for us. But, mainly only if we allow ourselves to wallow in a woe-is-me, scarcity mindset. But do we really need to go there? No, we don’t! How about channeling Saturn’s resilience and persistence instead? Yup! A no-brainer! Then there is, of course, the matter of the Moon’s opposition to underworld-ruling Pluto (9:39 pm). A time when the darkness really begins to descend! So, granted, things might be a little scary now, but, unless we have not paid our electric bill, what is to stop us from flipping a switch and turning on a darn light? In fact, we may want to shine a giant spotlight into the whole dark mess now and see what turns up! Let Pluto know, in no uncertain terms, that we are not afraid to glimpse and embrace our very own groundhog shadow, replete with all of its custom-designed bells and whistles. Piece of cake! In fact, make it a huge piece of dark chocolate cake with super-duper blood-red cherries on it! 🙂

Cosmic Weather:

“We spend much of the first half of our lives trying to build internal models that fit the world and much of the last half of our lives trying to adjust the world so it fits the inner models.” – Bruce Wexler

The empowering Sun in individualistic Aquarius quinqunx to the futuristic North Node in self-protective Cancer suggests that there is possibly some kind of disconnect taking place now, internally, between the outward path by which we have chosen to define ourselves versus how we are actually feeling inside about that role. Could it be that we have gotten too much into our head (detached Sun in Aquarius) and now we need to get more into the realm of our gut (NN in Cancer) to balance things out and move on to the next level?

No telling really how the pieces of our personal puzzle may have gotten askew. Perhaps we have become disenchanted with the causes (Aquarius) that we have been espousing and that is weighing us down? Or maybe our friendships or group involvements (Aquarius) need to be tweaked as they are no longer meaningful enough for us anymore? Maybe we are also spending too much time on social media or the internet (Aquarius)? Living in a virtual La La Land and we need to simply refocus our attention now on more of the grounding basics (Cancer). Such as tending to what is going on within our homes and with our families, including thinking about such practical things as the type of food that we are putting into our bodies, and where it is coming from. Or taking notice of such stuff as what really moves us, emotionally, as we go about our day. Mars entrance into placid Taurus yesterday, a location it will stay in for the next six weeks, will likely be a big boon to us here, in the coming days, in that it should help to restore our natural sense of equilibrium as we thoroughly evaluate now what it is that we really want to put our energy into, or conclude what it is that we really value, and omit from our journey what it is that is no longer needed for our own, very special rose parade.

“Be kinder to yourself. And then let your kindness flood the world.” Pema Chodron

Enjoy your weekend!

Bela Lugosi, daily astrology, daily horoscope, Mars enters Taurus, Mars in Aries, Mars semisquare Neptune, Mercury semisquare Pluto, Moon in Gemini

Cosmic Weather:

“It’s the steady, quiet, plodding ones who win in the lifelong race.” Robert W. Service

Mars exits new beginnings Aries today and sets up shop in stable, persistent Taurus the Bull (5:51 am), where it will remain until March 31st.  In Taurus, Mars energy is softened, a bit, as this sign is ruled by sweet, receptive Venus. Whereas Mars in Aries was also all about doing, initiating, and exploring, Mars in Taurus now is centered on beingness, rootedness, and acquisition. Mars learns patience and purposefulness in Taurus and, likewise, we are more apt to want to take our time now in executing matters, and do not want to be rushed. We also want to first understand the tangible value of doing something before we commit to doing it. Mars in Taurus now is an excellent time for putting the finishing touches on the projects that we began while Mars was in Aries, although today, with Mars making a semi-square with vague Neptune, we may potentially have a somewhat harder time getting motivated, or staying on track. Sometimes, too, with Mars-Neptune alignments, our physical energy is somewhat diminished so getting more rest may be something that is very beneficial for us now. Additionally, Mercury in Pisces is forming a semi-square to Pluto in Capricorn today. This can help to mentally focus our thoughts in a particular direction. The waxing Moon is also in curious Gemini, all day, and squaring expansive Jupiter in Sagittarius, so there can be an increased desire for learning or seeking out new information, new horizons.

Famous People with Mars in Taurus: Melissa Gilbert, Ginger Rogers, J. Edgar Hoover, Shirley MacLaine, Kanye West, Tony Bennett

On This Day in History: On February 14, 1931, The original “Dracula” film starring Bela Lugosi as the titular vampire, is released. On that day, pioneering Mars was retrograde at 0 degrees of theatrical Leo! Bela Lugosi (b. 10/20/1882) also had, in his horoscope, transiting Saturn in Capricorn exactly trine to his natal Neptune in Taurus, a powerful planetary configuration for manifesting (Saturn) our dreams (Neptune). Neptune also rules film. By the way, natally, Lugosi’s assertive Mars was also in passionate, mysterious Scorpio, the sign of death and rebirth.

“The love-bite, it is the beginning. You will be irresistible.” Bela Lugosi

Happy Valentine’s Day! Mars in Taurus can be very sexy and sensual! 🙂
