COSMIC WATCH:

How are you showing up for your relationships? Are you approaching them from a place of kindness, which Lao Tzu suggests engenders more love? Or are you perhaps showing up more from a place of fear? Demonstrating worry or skepticism are states of being that have been known to cause alienation or an erosion of love.

With today’s Full Moon in “relationship” Libra (3:19 pm EDT), the sign of the scales, which is also the sign of peace and diplomacy, we have a perfect chance to glean greater awareness of how it is that we tend to interact with others. Or how we are characteristically choosing to be present in our relationships, and how the nature of our being with others delicately dictates or threads the fabric and outcome of those interactions.

We may even want to pay closer attention to the matter of our physiology. Are we full of energy in the presence of others, or are we listless? Do we have enthusiasm in our voice when we speak, or do we sound half-hearted, like we would rather be someplace else? Too, what are we conveying to others through our body talk? Are we maybe saying one thing to them with our words, but then communicating something entirely different with our physical presence? How can we explain this gap to ourselves, and to others? What is it all about, and how is it impacting our relationships? All possibly excellent “food for fodder” topics with this “balancing” Libra Moon.

This Full Moon in social Libra is also ruled by sweet Venus, which is presently in curious Gemini and square to both assertive Mars and elusive Neptune. It could be that there is, indeed, some ambivalence about our passions and desires now. Also, perhaps a tendency to look at others through the proverbial “rose-colored glasses,” a dreamy state which often carries more of a negative connotation for us – although, a rose in bloom is a really beautiful thing to behold. So maybe a little illusion about others now, isn’t such a bad thing after all!

Where have your thoughts been, the past three weeks, with Mercury “the thinker” retrograde? Have you maybe been reconsidering recent decisions, or reflecting on your goals? Today with Mercury stationing direct in “intuitive” Pisces we finally get cosmic clearance to begin acting on what we have been ruminating about lately. Mercury will also be in its “shadow phase” until April 22.

Meanwhile, the Moon in “solutions-oriented” Virgo today also prompts us to evaluate matters logically, although a morning trine to expansive Jupiter in Taurus (9:35 am EDT) does supply us with an overview of the big picture as well. With the Moon taking up residency in “curious” Gemini (6:43 am EDT) the next couple of days, the sign of communication, we have a fresh opportunity to give our minds a thorough gymnastics workout.  Questioning the nature of things is always a good way to do this, which is something we can easily do in standard conversation, as long as we don’t push the envelope too much here and drive others away by perhaps overplaying the role of the devil’s advocate. Our minds have been compared to muscles, so the more we utilize them, the better chance we have to make them stronger.

Too, the Moon’s square to “psychedelic” Neptune (10:39 am EDT) provides us with a platform to examine our fantasies. Sometimes an extra challenge with Moon-Neptune is that we have to wade through distortions, or misrepresentations of facts. We also tend to be more idealistic with this influence, and our vulnerabilities may additionally be heightened. A simple Moon-Neptune question that is always good to to ask ourselves is, “Is this true beyond all doubt?” Or, alternately, “What supports the evidence here?” Also, if we don’t feel certain about things now, we may want to temporarily retreat or pause from taking any action. Give matters, perhaps, some time to gel. We may also need more time to collect all the facts and data. Sometimes Neptune’s ray tends to cloak or even glamorize things.

Famous Person Birthdays March 27: Mariah Carey (she has her Moon exactly conjunct Neptune), Fergie (has her Moon exactly sextile Neptune). The Moon also rules how we interact with the public and often people who have Neptune aligned with the Moon have the ability to magically or charismatic relate to others.  In other words, it is easier for us to hypnotically go “under their spell.” Moon-Neptune can be exceptional energy for any actor or artist, as it can allow for the full immersion into the imagination. Neptune also rules visualization.

COSMIC WATCH:

While we all have a need for certainty, we also crave variety. Today, it is likely that the latter will win out.  This is because the “empowering” Sun is conjunct “radical, individualistic” Uranus, the electrifying planet that is linked with change and liberation. This conjunction is occurring in “spontaneous” Aries.

What we may want to muse over today is, how dispensing with protocol or convention can end up being a very good thing for us? In other words, Sun-Uranus gives us some refreshing wiggle room to tear up that all-too-familiar internal script reverberating in many of our heads that says we must always conform or live up to other people’s expectations, or suffer dire consequences. Sun-Uranus encourages us to embrace and flaunt our own personal brand, no matter how quirky. This same planetary influence can also galvanize us into action on behalf of humanitarian causes. COSMIC WATCH:

What “new beginning” is calling to you in your heart? It could be that today’s New Moon, at 2 degrees of pioneering Aries (10:37 am EDT), is a perfect chance to begin making serious inroads towards that new direction. Aries energy prompts us to take courageous action. It challenges us to venture outside of our comfort zones to open up new doors of possibility. It can also endow us with a greater desire for personal freedom.

With this New Moon in spontaneous Aries today, many of us may feel a little like a caged bird that is about to be set free. Too, we will want to take a look at the house (or area of life) in our personal horoscopes where this New Moon is taking place, as that is where this eager, little bird Is getting ready to take flight and, hopefully soon, soar to new heights.

This lunation, which is really a marriage of both the Sun and the Moon, is also conjunct “radical” Uranus and “thinker” Mercury. An alignment that may very well increase our capacity for originality and brilliance. Uranus governs both genius and intuition. We are also now more comfortable rejecting or challenging the status quo.

Of course, with decision-maker Mercury still retrograde, and initiating Mars, the ruler of Aries, also retrograde, in stickler Virgo, we may still feel some pressure to edit ourselves and play by the rules. Also, we will probably need to be open to changing or modifying our course of action, at a later date. Retrograde periods are synonymous with revisions.

Too, we continue to feel the affect of that rare, transforming grand earth trine involving Mars, Jupiter and Pluto. “We can change our lives. We can do, have, and be exactly what we wish.” Anthony Robbins (Robbins also has his natal Moon in Aries.)

We begin our day with perhaps a more serious orientation, as the waning Capricorn Moon makes a square to Saturn (9:00 am EDT). This aspect may find us more mindful of honoring our duties and commitments. This morning is an excellent time for wrapping up loose ends because after the Moon squares Saturn, it will be “void of course.” A period when it is best to finish old business.

Mid-day, however, the energy palpably shifts with the Moon’s foray into futuristic Aquarius.  Suddenly, the weight of the past is pressing less upon us and we begin to focus instead on what could be. The Moon in Aquarius additionally favors: involvement with group causes; taking a team approach; adding unique items to our décor or wardrobe. With the Moon’s entrance into “ambitious” Capricorn what adds to our sense of well-being now is feeling a sense of accomplishment, or perceiving that we are making headway towards whatever it is that we set out to do. A Moon-Neptune sextile (9:04 am EST) also potentially enhances our visioning ability, as Neptune rules our imagination. Too, once we have a clear vision of something, it is much easier for us to take action or develop a strategy to achieve that dream. It is like beginning at the end, which is really so much easier on us than heading out without a set destination in mind, as without a vision we are more likely to drift, which can end up being very energy draining.

We may also want to make sure that we have a “Plan B” option in place, this afternoon, just in case, as the Moon is squaring both Uranus (1:26 pm EST), planet of the unexpected, and Mercury, ruler of our reasoning. (4:53 pm EST). The “optimistic” Sagittarius Moon may find us wishing upon a star. It could be, too, that many of our wishes do come true now with a Grand Earth Trine, today through Thursday. Abundant Jupiter, romantic Venus, courageous Mars and reforming Pluto may serve as an auspicious springboard to help us manifest our financial and pleasurable intentions for ourselves.
