Animating Mars, the perceived planet of action and motivation, enters the information gathering/sharing sign of Gemini today (3:29 pm), where it will stay until August 11. Mars in curious, communicative Gemini serves to expand the general awareness of our environment as well as steps up our daily interactions with it.
We’re also seeking to enlarge the playing field of our options now as Mars in Gemini possibly compels us to ferret out greater variety in our lives. Accordingly, the choices that we make, or the decision-making process, also potentially becomes more complicated as we sort through a plethora of possibilities.
Too, it could be that we are needing more flexibility or wiggle room with respect to how we execute what we undertake, over the next six weeks, as our natural orientation now may be more akin to that of a busy bumblebee, going from flower to flower, gathering nectar; in mutable Gemini, Mars function is to first gather or collect, and then to disseminate, the bounty it has accumulated.

On June 28, 1919, the Treaty of Versailles is signed in France, ending World War One and establishing the League of Nations.
Among the astrological aspects that day, Mars – the planet of war – was in versatile Gemini (as it is today) and applying one degree to an exact waning sextile to structuring, disciplining Saturn in authoritative Leo, potentially paving the way for dialing back the aggressive urge; Mars-Saturn aspects also tend to be more serious or cautious in nature and are considered excellent for planning.
Too, cooperative Venus was applying to a conjunction with Saturn, an aspect associated with long-term responsibility or commitment.
Additionally, there was a stellium of 5 planets in security-minded Cancer, that day, including contractually minded Mercury separating one-degree from an exact conjunction with goodwill ambassador Jupiter, an influence that tends to find us focusing on the bigger picture.
The empowering Sun was also applying (one-degree) to an exact conjunction with transformational Pluto in Cancer, a potentially very intense, emotionally charged, power-driven energy.
