Cosmic Weather:

Time to put a cork on this year!!!

We close out 2010 with a passionate Scorpio Moon deliciously conjunct “love maven” Venus (8:12 am EST). The Moon also trines “joyous preacher” Jupiter (2:12 pm EST), squares “can’t we all just get high” Neptune (2:34 pm EST), and trines “more brains than sense” Uranus (2:58 pm EST), who still has plenty of ants in his pants, and is rotating around very peculiarly, as usual.

After that stellar line-up, the “mildly inebriated” nocturnal Moon then exits, “I’ve had enough sex for a while” Scorpio, to cartwheel into “visionary” Sagittarius (8:22 pm EST). Here the Moon begins to really believe great things are possible now, and in store, for every one of us in 2011. Baby, if you can believe it, you can achieve it!!! Amen to that, bro!!! Really liking this optimistic Sag Moon energy to start off the New Year.

Miracles, man. Miracles!!! They can, and do, happen!!! Coupled with some hard work, and tons of prayer, and positive visualization. We can lose the weight in 2011! We can get that big job promotion! We can vacation in Cancun with George Clooney, without “you know who” tagging along! 🙂 (BTW, saw the pictures of Elisabetta Canalis and George in the HuffingtonPost.com last weekend. The two were vacationing in Mexico over the Christmas holiday. She was by his side wearing an itty bitty string bikini. She looked great. It was sickening!!! I cried for hours, then I threw up. I mean, how in the heck can we compete with that?)

I guess, George, you will just have to simply love us for our brilliant mind, in the future, and kindly overlook our declining physical form. Can you do that for us? Pretty, please? That’s all we humbly ask of you. Think substance over fluff, George. Remember, too, that you and I also technically share the same brain, with both our Mercury’s (mind) at 20 degrees of Taurus. A fact I will probably be reminding you of till my dying day. I’m also not fibbing. Look it up. Check with other astrologers. Get independent verification. It’s in your chart: Mercury at 20 degrees of Taurus, just like mine! Does Elisabetta have that with you? No, I dare say that she does not. In fact, probably only a few other people in the entire world share this same, exact Mercury placement with you. It is very rare, and very, very precious, this magical intellectual bond that we have between us. It most likely took many previous lifetimes (incarnations) of being together to have our brains and Mercurys conjoined this way. Yes, it’s definitely written in the stars again for this lifetime, too. No getting around it. One day soon, both you and I will be together, and joined, not only at the brain and planetary level, but in other ways too, George. Hopefully, a merging of additional body parts! Especially if I personally have anything to say about it! George, you’re a big star. But I have also been studying the big stars above, all my life, and do have some clout upstairs. I can sometimes arrange to have certain things happen with the powers that be. Too, we must continue to evolve our relationship George. It just makes perfect sense to do so.

Anyway, thinking about you endlessly today, George, on this lonely, lonely, arctic cold New Year’s eve. Another drama-filled night of vacuous vacuuming, alone in the dark. That’s most likely what awaits me tonight, George. You know that you could change all that, too, don’t you? In an instant. Yes, I’m just tidying the place up for you a bit, that’s what I’m doing. In case you decide, at the last minute, to pop in to give me a big New Year’s eve kiss. Melt my marshmallow heart forever.) 🙂

Really appreciate the three people reading my blog this past year. As I mentioned a couple days ago, not sure where I am taking this little critter in 2011. I feel like I can’t totally abandon it, as who in their right mind would ever want to adopt it and give it a loving new home? But, I will be either cutting way back on, or eliminating entirely, the daily horoscopes, as I do want to expand into some other fun things here, since I do have wild Uranus getting ready to cross my Ascendant.

Well… guess I’m going to have to seek shelter tonight, and welcome in the new year, with that other great heartthrob of my life, Mick Jagger. A man I have loved with every fiber of my being since I was 11 years old. BTW, my affectionate, fickle, dual-lover, 13 degree Venus in Gemini is exactly conjunct Mick’s 13 degree Gemini Ascendant, another indication of true love in the highest and purest form. Plus, Mick is a Leo, with a Taurus Moon. His Moon is also tightly conjunct my Taurus Sun and Mercury. I also have a pulsating Leo Moon, a perfect match for Mick’s gyrating Leo Sun. Oh, if only Mick had the slightest clue about my existence, on this lonely, lonely New Year’s eve. Love ya’ Mick! Missin’ you, too! Wherever you are. Know, too, you could be with me tonight, Mick. Cosmic Weather:

Winged Messenger Mercury, associated with thinking, communication, travel, and the inner workings of thermometers, stations direct today (2:22 am EST) at 19 degrees of visionary Sagittarius, after nearly a three-week retrograde period.

With Mercury’s direct motion, we have clearance, once again, to fully engage in unedited, primal, raw thinking.  No more of the obligatory recalling of our thoughts. No need to dutifully swallow our words, or to speak sheepishly in monotone whispers.

We also have the cosmic go ahead to purchase computers, printers, color TVs, microwave ovens, buy cars, etc. It’s also okay to sign or negotiate contracts. (Some elitists, however, may want to wait until Mercury gets out of its official “shadow period” on January 17th, 2011, or passes over the 5-degree point in Capricorn where it initially went retrograde, to do these things. This direct motion also comes along at exactly the right time because the Moon is presently deposited in sexy Scorpio. Wouldn’t you know that the universe would have us thinking immediately about sex, right out of the gate? Probably something to do with the propagation of the species.

Too, with our tender brains having been on ice for the last few weeks, the “powers that be” maybe thought we would need a few days to get our mental faculties fully back up to speed. Although, sometimes the activities between the sheets can also get very complicated:

A few possible probing questions to ask ourselves today: Do we even remember what sex is? Approximately, what year did we last have sex? Do we recall if it was a solo event then, or more of a team sport? To the best of our recollection, was Mercury retrograde, or direct, when we last had sex?  Where was the Moon, still up in the sky? Can only leakers of classified information engage in unprotected sex? Can we only have unprotected sex in Sweden? Why do we think that Scorpio, the sign that governs sex, is associated with deadly scorpions? Go figure. 🙂

Cosmic Weather:

Challenges abound just about everywhere with gitty up Mars in Capricorn square restrictive Saturn in Libra. Our patience may be tried today and we may have to deal with cruel or repressed types, or people in authority who will not cut us any slack. In other circumstances, we may benefit by “just saying no” and walking away. Who needs the frickin’ stress?

For more “evolved types,” today’s energy may be the fuel that drives them to do truly courageous things despite humungous odds, as Mars does indicate bravery and courage, and in the face of “great tester” Saturn, karmic roadblocks can be put in our paths to deliberately “test the stuff” we’re made up. Still we may want to limit our association with governmental or bureaucratic types, ruled by Capricorn, while trying to walk on eggshells with our significant other (Libra). Too, just because he or she doesn’t cap the toothpaste today does not necessarily mean we have valid grounds for divorce! Although it may feel like it now.

Some questions to perhaps ask ourselves today:

Why are my efforts in certain areas meeting hefty resistance? Have I not done enough advance preparation or due diligence? Do I not know the right people to push through my brilliant agendas? Maybe I need to network more in 2011?

Too, it could be that I forgot to gargle with mouthwash this morning, because of that bloody brawl with my partner over the toothpaste cap? Maybe it’s simply a matter of my breath, why I’m so unpopular now? Breath could be especially odorous today, too, because of the scary motion of the planets, particularly Mars-Saturn. (The Moon also leaves “up in the air” Libra for “intense” Scorpio at 3:50 pm EST. A time when our breath can really be bad as the Moon channels our breath from past lives (Scorpio) and then and puts it in our mouths. Very foul-smelling!)

Am I wearing the wrong colors to be successful today? (With Mars square Saturn, we may have more success by dressing in all black, mirroring the glorious drab energy of the day.)

The planet Mercury, governing travel, communication, contracts, and so forth, finally stations direct at 19 degrees of Sagittarius on December 30th at 2:22 am EST. Hallelujah!

Mercury has been retrograde (appearing to be in backward motion in the night sky) since December 10th. It turned retrograde at 5 degrees of Capricorn. It will officially be retracing its “shadow” until January 17th, when it gets back to that 5-degree mark.

When Mercury is retrograde, there can be general confusion, misunderstandings, reversals, travel snafus, etc. Mercury retrograde is also a time when we “move forward” by actually “going backwards.” In other words, we “review or mull over” our recent decisions, or thinking on things. When Mercury goes direct, we are then free (cosmically cleared) to put into motion whatever we revisited or concluded when Mercury was retrograde.

The Mercury retrograde period, additionally, can be an excellent time for tossing around new strategies in our head.  We just don’t want to actually implement anything new until Mercury goes direct.

Anyway, with Mercury direct again, we have the green light to make important decisions, purchase electronics and appliances, sign and or negotiate contracts, buy automobiles. We can also resume brushing our teeth in a forward motion.

“At the sound of the beep, you may begin recording your sexy little message for all the world to hear. When you have finished recording it, if you are satisfied with it, you may ‘press one’ to begin using it as your official greeting.

On the other hand, if you are not satisfied with the message for any reason, perhaps you feel that your inflection was not quite right or seductive enough, or that you maybe should not have cussed halfway through it,  and you would like to re-record it, we are sorry, but you are plum out of luck!

This is because mental Mercury has finally stationed direct in “shoot from the hip” Sagittarius.  What this means is that the time period for reviews and rewinds is over! It’s time now to proceed full-throttle ahead in our thinking and communication, although we may want to wait a few days until our brain is fully thawed out before giving it anything too complicated to ponder, as our minds have been on ice for almost three weeks now.

Too, the purists among us, may want to wait until Mercury moves out of its’ “shadow period” to resume full use of the mental faculties and for rendering key decisions (January 17th). So, use your own discretion here. We only report the planets, fair and balanced. You decide what, if anything, to do with them.” 🙂

Cosmic Weather:

There may be icy cold snow on the ground, but there’s a toasty warm fire burning in our tender hearts as we move into day two of the Libra Moon “love train.” (Libra rules relationships.)

On our destination route today, we are kindly obliged to visit “Venus semi-square Pluto.” (Venus is the sultry “Love Goddess; Pluto is the virile ‘Control Freak.’)

Our challenge, once we get there, will be to study and probe all or some of the following feelings (some of which may be obsessive or compulsive, thanks to Pluto’s intense vibe):

1) Our feelings of romantic jealousy. Specifically, why do we become animalistic, and violently twist and shout, when our significant other is in the mere presence of members of the opposite sex?

2) Why are we feeling deep passion one minute, then dark and foreboding disdain the next? Is it all simply due to perimenopause, or could some other mysterious cosmic force really be at work here (namely Venus-Pluto)?

3) Why do we feel greatly relieved, and can breathe so much easier, when we have a surveillance camera surreptitiously tailgating our mate as he or she cheerfully and unwittingly goes about their daily business?

So, sit back everyone and relax. Enjoy the chilling scenery. We will be to the “quaint” Venus-Pluto, before you know it. 🙂

Personal Note: With Mercury retrograde in futuristic Sag, I am seriously mulling over the idea of not doing the daily astrology blog any more. I am also thinking about expanding this blog to include non-astrological topics. I have been blogging here for about a year now, and I feel it’s definitely time to change things up.

Also, as rebel Uranus and expansive Jupiter inch closer to my pioneering Aries ascendant, I am starting to feel a vast need to break out of my predictable mold and embrace wild new terrain. I also have eliminating Pluto getting ready to conjunct my natal Mars in Capricorn in my tenth of career. Another indication that I need to shift perhaps the focus of my energies. I also feel a need to dig deeper into things, even though my natal Jupiter in Gemini likes to keep me fairly shallow and nauseatingly jolly. A bit of a dilemma.

WikiLeaks’ founder, Julian Assange, has reportedly inked a lucrative 1.3 million dollar book deal with a division of Random House.  News of the deal came with the transiting Sun exactly conjunct Pluto in achievement Capricorn. Pluto symbolizes all that is buried or hidden, and is historically associated with covert operations, such as spying and espionage. When Pluto’s ray is activated, we tend to find out big, juicy secrets, and spies, and others who deal with the surreptitious gathering and or releasing of information, often grab the news headlines of the day.

Also, when Assange was arrested in London on December 7th, stemming from accusations of sexual misconduct by two women in Sweden, Pluto was exactly conjunct the Capricorn Ascendant in the arrest “event chart.”

What we want to know is: Will WikiLeaks be leaking Assange’s manuscript? 🙂

Celeb Assange is presently out on bail and reportedly holed up in some mansion near London. He publicly stated on Sunday that he agreed to the book deal to help defray the cost of his ever-mounting legal bills, and to also keep WikiLeaks’ website afloat.

Earlier, the site’s previous spokesman also landed a big book deal. Daniel Domscheit-Berg’s book, Inside WikiLeaks: My Time With Julian Assange at the World’s Most Dangerous Website, will be out in February. He is also planning on launching a new venue for leaking classified info called Openleaks early next year. Much to Pluto’s delight.

The Moon starts out the day in efficient Virgo, but it may require a bit of a juggling act to keep everything a flow, as the Moon has her monthly opposition to extravagant Jupiter (5:51 am EST) and rebellious Uranus (7:22 am EST). We progress now by not overextending ourselves, or unduly rocking the boat with others.

Later, the Moon’s entrance into relationship Libra (12:39 pm EST) makes us to want to intimately share our experiences with others. Partnering up, though, could be a challenge when the Moon squares off with controlling Pluto (9:26 pm EST) and the authoritative Sun (11:20 pm EST), unless we consciously make an effort to be more cooperative. Cosmic Weather:

“As if we didn’t have enough to worry about already today, with holiday gift returns and all. Now we have to add scary “boogeyman” Pluto, ruler of the underworld, to the picture, via the Sun’s conjunction to it in skeletal Capricorn.

What’s worse: The Pluto boogeyman may be holed up inside of us! Making him that much harder to eradicate, as he knows the location of our subterranean crawl spaces and can pull all of our scary strings.

With Sun-Pluto, we tend to look on the “dark side of things” and harbor suspicions. This energy often arouses our deepest fears, the ones that we have dutifully submerged over time. Pluto symbolizes what is buried deep within our “psychological caves.”

Sometimes, too, our suspicions are justified, as “master detective,” Pluto Cousteau, can bring clandestine activities into the light of day. Foreboding secrets are suddenly revealed, including the biggest of all: Evil revelations concerning our true weight! (Let’s really hope and pray that we can manage to keep that fat cat in the bag a while longer. :))

Too, there could also be real boogeymen lurking around outside of us! And chances are good that some of them may be sporting fashionable trench coats, bought on clearance from Kohl’s, and donning thick dark shades, and speaking with a whisper into walkie talkies. Yes, Sun-Pluto tends to bring out all the real-life spies (Pluto rules covert operations and hidden forces).

And here we thought with the tidy Virgo Moon, that we would be able to fit in relaxing bouts of vacuuming today. Instead, we have to grapple with seedy human affairs, and tortuous intrepidation and intrigue.  Go figure.

On the plus side, Sun-Pluto can be “enlightening” and “transforming.” It governs purging and elimination. But, can we stand the truth of the scale?  That’s the million-dollar question.

Questions to perhaps ask ourselves today: 1) What makes us afraid, and why? 2) Other than our weight, what are we most afraid of others finding out about us? 3) How have we conquered our fears in the past? “Early Christmas Day there’s a colorful, roaring Leo Moon and gift wrap and ribbon could be flying all over the place in a dashing race to open up our gifts and see what Santa’s left us under the tree. Of course, those of us who have been naughty this past year may be dramatically licking our wounds now, in real Leo “drama queen” style, silently vowing to be nicer next year, so we won’t, once again, have to face the utter, abject humiliation and suffer the complete loss of pride of “zero gifts” from Santa. The most devastating personal blow here, of course, being: No George Clooney under the tree!!!

Oh, the problematic joy of Christmas Day!

When the Moon enters practical Virgo (10:15 am EST), the cosmic energy around us becomes much more serviceable and manageable. We are even able to somehow miraculously endure being holed up with oddball relatives for hours on end, with no chance for a quick escape. 🙂

Later, the Moon’s harmonious trines to both the warming Sun (4:57 pm EST) and transforming Pluto (6:49 pm EST) help to foster deep feelings of contentment within us, and also help to strengthen our precious ties with loved ones.

Christmas Blessings, to all those who celebrate the joy of this magical day. Best wishes to everyone for a glorious, prosperous New Year.

Also, thank you so much for reading my “Cosmic Life Coach” astrology blog, this past year. I have really appreciated it. I’m not quite sure, at this point, whether to continue with it or not in the new year. It’s something I’m presently mulling over. Trying to ascertain the best use of my energies for 2011.

Cosmic Word Of The Day: Visitation

(Moon trine Mercury. Jupiter conjunct Uranus.)

Visitation: 1) the act of visiting 2) a visit for the purpose of making an official examination or inspection

Cosmic Weather:

“The stars are looking pretty bright for that annual visitation from Santa and his crew tonight! The Moon is in generous Leo and trine communicator Mercury in optimistic Sagittarius (8:45 pm EST).  Could be that Santa’s a little chattier than the usual.  Deviating from the typical, “Ho, ho, ho”  drill. Hopefully, though, he won’t veer off into politics or any other hotbed subjects, a natural allure when Mercury is in opinionated Sag.

We may also want to hang some “bigger” stockings by the chimney, as there’s a chance that Santa may be reaching deeper into his pockets this year.  The Leo Moon typically likes to splurge.

Too, we should probably set up Santa’s stage tonight in real regal fashion, in keeping with the Moon in Leo’s intrinsic desire for pomp and circumstance. How about if we put the hot chocolate in a very fine porcelain mug and the sugar cookies on a handsome silver tray? Also maybe put on a little Celine Dion divinely caroling in the background.

Let us also warm Santa’s heart by leaving him with a little something extra tonight. A special poem by George MacDonald (below). A tender prompting from the magical Jupiter and Uranus conjunction in giving Pisces, which suggests to us the “perfect gift” to give this Christmas. It also lets Santa know that we are aware of the deeper meaning of the season, and that it is truly more blessed to give than to receive.

Still, if there is any way, any way at all, that Santa can maybe pull it off, and put George Clooney under our holiday tree, we will be much obliged. Hope springs eternal, doesn’t it? 🙂 Especially this miraculous time of year, when fairy-tale wishes really can come true under the mistletoe.
