“You are what you do, not what you say you’ll do.” C. J. Jung, Swiss psychiatrist and psychologist
With the Moon still near its Full Phase and in the adventurous sign of Aries, what may have held us back before, is likely no longer going to be a deterrent. The Moon’s sextile to optimistic Jupiter (4:40 pm EDT) also encourages us to confidently stretch our wings.

The Moon is still “out to sea” in oceanic Pisces. We must trust in the natural flow of things as we gallantly cast our fishing nets over uncharted waters, ever hopeful of a big catch. Getting ready for the momentous “Harvest Full Moon” in Aries on Saturday.

“If you need something from somebody always give that person a way to hand it to you.”Sue Monk Kidd, The Secret Life of Bees
(Especially applicable today with Lovable Venus in proud Leo square pushy Mars in seductive Scorpio, an aspect that tempts us to take what we want! The Moon also enters dreamy, fairy tale Pisces, 1:23 am EDT, priming us for our Great Escape.)

“If you expect nothing from anybody, you’re never disappointed.”Sylvia Plath
It’s normal to have expectations. Today, however, with intellectual Mercury entering into the mix of the more volatile, unpredictable Uranus-Pluto alignment, it may be wise to withhold, or at least minimize, some of our mental expectations and try coasting in neutral instead. That way, if things don’t turn out entirely as we had planned, we won’t be so disappointed.
Too, there is always the possibility that things could take a twist and turn out better than we might have thought they would. With Uranus and Pluto, we often never really know what might come down. They are both excellent for keeping us on our toes, helping us to fashion creative, original responses to our environment.
Mercury-Uranus often brings us surprising news and Mercury-Pluto often seems to force us to go deeper into our thinking. Too, sometimes with the Mercury-Pluto influence we are more prone to finding out or parlaying secret or confidential information.
The Moon’s foray into adventurous Sagittarius (12:34 pm EDT) should also be a favorable assist for us, as it can help us to be more curious, futuristic, and flexible in our perceptions and reactions. Also it can help us to see the big picture. “I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end.”Gilda Radner
Lovable Venus (money, values, relationships) is also sextile to expansive Jupiter. This may aid us in attracting the emotional and or material resources that we desire. It is also a very creative influence that favors artistic or musical endeavors.
Famous September 20 Birthdays: Upton Sinclair, Arnold Palmer, Sophia Loren. “Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical.” Sophia Loren

“The day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace.”Mahatma Gandhi
With “liberating” Uranus in exact square formation to “transforming” Pluto, once again, a potentially revolutionizing influence that will continue to periodically play out over the next two or three years, we may want to ponder or scrutinize how we are personally using our individual power and influence (Pluto) to make a positive change or difference in the collective (Uranus).
For instance, how are we galvanizing our special talents and strengths on a daily basis, and minimizing our weaknesses, so that we can help to reform the world in such a way that each of us helps to lift each other up, instead of bring each other down?
What might we begin doing differently (Uranus) so that we can fully access and manifest the purest expression of our inner truth (Pluto)?
What courageous decisions could we possibly make now that maybe we have been putting off because we were afraid or hesitant to show our true colors, or were afraid to take a stand? It has been theorized that the average adult makes about 35,000 decisions per day. If we want to know what tomorrow will be like, all we pretty much need to do is monitor our decision-making today for clues. With each decision that we make, we set new things in motion for the future, for better or for worse.
What books could we start reading, conversations that we could start having, that might help us to grow or stretch our perceptions, or cull or refine our higher wisdom, so that we have the brilliance, acumen, and heart to solve the serious problems facing the world today?
What kind words might we say to someone to let them know that we care?
What new attitudes or perspectives could we individually and collectively adopt that might allow us to more peaceably co-exist with each other, instead of mindlessly going the the guns and violence route when things get tough and our patience wanes, along with our hope.
What social or humanistic causes might we get involved in, what politicians might we elect, or re-elect, that would likely serve to resurrect us from our self-generated darkness and apathy and make us shine as a brighter light in the world?
What might we finally have the guts to say ‘no’ to?
What might we finally say ‘yes’ to?
Pluto not only governs transformation and the urge for influence and power in the world. It also governs our legacy, or what we will be leaving behind. With revolutionary Uranus aligned with Pluto now we maybe have a golden opportunity to significantly alter that legacy in such a way that we will know for sure in our hearts that when we go, we will be leaving the world a much better place.
Refer back to the 1960s, when we had Uranus conjunct Pluto. We had the civil rights movement gaining momentum in the U.S. The anti-war movement. The creation of medicaid and medicare as part of the “Great Society.” The birth of the women’s liberation movement. The sexual revolution. And, lest we forget, the emergence of John, Paul, George and Ringo. How can we build upon all of that in the coming years in a meaningful way? How can we continue to evolve and raise the bar so that there is a bright future for our children, and our children’s children?
“A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”Margaret Mead

Makeovers can be exciting and invigorating. They can also be an ideal way to sustain our existences, over time, as they inevitably help us to step outside of our comfort zones and experience or witness old elements in a brand new light. Including often allowing us to view ourselves with renewed fascination and interest. And, as our perceptions are stretched or altered, we unwittingly end up sowing the seeds of our own growth or evolution. “Man’s mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions.”Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr.
With transformational Pluto, the official “makeover guru,” stationing direct in Capricorn today (1:07 am EDT), after a five-month retrograde (review) phase, we seem to have symbolic cosmic approval to outwardly re-define or re-invent ourselves in healthy new ways now, so as to allow for the fullest expression of our authentic self. Pluto also archetypically representing what is essentially our raw essence, or what is often submerged or buried within us at the core levels of our being.
As is typically the case with purging Pluto’s activated ray, we may also have more of a passion now to divest ourselves of any elements that are outworn, dishonest, or redundant, in hopes that we will be better able to stand and flourish surrounded simply by our own truth, instead of being led by dictates formulated by others. “The whole point of being alive is to evolve into the complete person you were meant to be.”Oprah Winfrey
We also have the Moon entering Pluto-ruled Scorpio today (10:46 am EDT), where it will be joining galvanizing Mars on Wednesday. The very same day that radical Uranus is making yet another exact square aspect to game-shifting Pluto. “The dogmas of the quiet past, are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise—with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country.” Abraham Lincoln.
Famous September 18 Birthdays: Frankie Avalon, Lance Armstrong, Greta Garbo. “Life would be so wonderful if we only knew what to do with it.” Greta Garbo 🙂
What does living authentically mean to you?
How important is it to you that you do your own thing?
What part of your life might benefit from a makeover?
If you had to choose between the two, would you rather be self-actualized or rich?

“Respect for right conduct is felt by everybody.”Jane Austen
We are all in this together. For better or for worse. And the Moon in diplomatic Libra is duly reminding us of this unalterable reality again, with Libra representing our desire for socialization and unity with others. “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” Jalal ad-Din Rumi
Mental Mercury also entered fair, balanced Libra, late yesterday, which can potentially aid us in seeing others’ point of view.
Mercury, however, is also under a bit of pressure today as it is quinqunx foggy Neptune (10:24 am EDT). With Mercury-Neptune, sometimes our thinking can get a little blurred or fuzzy, or we perhaps we are missing some key information that we could ideally employ in our brilliant decision-making. Might be a good day to be guided by the practical, enduring sentiment, “When in doubt, don’t.” 🙂
It often turns out, too, that when we are willing to mentally disengage ourselves for a while, instead of forcing ourselves into a certain mode of action before we are ready, we usually end up on a much clearer path with more self-assurance and conviction.

“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.” Carl Jung
Today may be an exhilarating day for forging new connections. Or for group involvement. This is because lovable Venus is trining spontaneous Uranus, the planet of change and experimentation. With this aspect we are more apt to want to shed our inhibitions and seek out novel amusements or pastimes, including mingling with types who do not normally inhabit our social circle.
Too, the Moon in glitzy Leo prompts us to want to do things with extra flair or fanfare. “If everyone would look for that uniqueness then we would have a very colorful world.” Michael Schenker

“The conventional view serves to protect us from the painful job of thinking.” John Kenneth Gailbraith.
The Moon shifts from pioneering Aries into sustaining Taurus (11:41 am EDT). However, that does not guarantee that we will gladly tow the status quo today. This is because initiator Mars and intellectual Mercury quinqunx radical, freedom-loving Uranus. An indication of a willingness to bend the rules and to think outside the box. It could be, too, that some changes are foisted upon us that we were not expecting, so we may need to be more flexible and adaptable in our responses. Whenever we meet up with wild card Uranus, the existing order of things tends to be altered. The energy around us can also become a bit herky jerky, although hopefully the steady Taurus Moon will help to even things out this time around.
Mercury is also forming a 120-degree trine to perceptive Pluto, always a fascinating aspect that allows us to go deeper with our thinking. Pluto governs all that is submerged. This is an excellent influence for investigations and for making breakthrough discoveries. Some of these discoveries could also be more of a healing nature due to the regenerative aspect of Pluto.
Too, it is possible that we may hear or read something today that has a notable transformational impact on our lives. This is also a very good aspect for spreading our own sphere of influence in the world either through speech or writing. “If you want to change the world, pick up your pen and write.”Martin Luther.
Famous September 4 Birthdays:Beyonce Knowles, Paul Harvey. “In times like these, it helps to recall that there have always been times like these.” Paul Harvey 🙂
