COSMIC WATCH:
“The day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace.” Mahatma Gandhi
With “liberating” Uranus in exact square formation to “transforming” Pluto, once again, a potentially revolutionizing influence that will continue to periodically play out over the next two or three years, we may want to ponder or scrutinize how we are personally using our individual power and influence (Pluto) to make a positive change or difference in the collective (Uranus).
For instance, how are we galvanizing our special talents and strengths on a daily basis, and minimizing our weaknesses, so that we can help to reform the world in such a way that each of us helps to lift each other up, instead of bring each other down?
What might we begin doing differently (Uranus) so that we can fully access and manifest the purest expression of our inner truth (Pluto)?
What courageous decisions could we possibly make now that maybe we have been putting off because we were afraid or hesitant to show our true colors, or were afraid to take a stand? It has been theorized that the average adult makes about 35,000 decisions per day. If we want to know what tomorrow will be like, all we pretty much need to do is monitor our decision-making today for clues. With each decision that we make, we set new things in motion for the future, for better or for worse.
What books could we start reading, conversations that we could start having, that might help us to grow or stretch our perceptions, or cull or refine our higher wisdom, so that we have the brilliance, acumen, and heart to solve the serious problems facing the world today?
What kind words might we say to someone to let them know that we care?
What new attitudes or perspectives could we individually and collectively adopt that might allow us to more peaceably co-exist with each other, instead of mindlessly going the the guns and violence route when things get tough and our patience wanes, along with our hope.
What social or humanistic causes might we get involved in, what politicians might we elect, or re-elect, that would likely serve to resurrect us from our self-generated darkness and apathy and make us shine as a brighter light in the world?
What might we finally have the guts to say ‘no’ to?
What might we finally say ‘yes’ to?
Pluto not only governs transformation and the urge for influence and power in the world. It also governs our legacy, or what we will be leaving behind. With revolutionary Uranus aligned with Pluto now we maybe have a golden opportunity to significantly alter that legacy in such a way that we will know for sure in our hearts that when we go, we will be leaving the world a much better place.
Refer back to the 1960s, when we had Uranus conjunct Pluto. We had the civil rights movement gaining momentum in the U.S. The anti-war movement. The creation of medicaid and medicare as part of the “Great Society.” The birth of the women’s liberation movement. The sexual revolution. And, lest we forget, the emergence of John, Paul, George and Ringo. How can we build upon all of that in the coming years in a meaningful way? How can we continue to evolve and raise the bar so that there is a bright future for our children, and our children’s children?
“A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead

Just 4 years short of receiving a substantial extra cash bonus for my stint in public education, I quit to persue my long-brewing creative life. My body demanded it suddenly, giving me all kinds of inflammations and shooting pains. I am 51, and I am completely shifting the focus of my life to who I REALLY am, not what the community wants me to be! For the first time in my life, I will not apologize to anyone for not having a name for my creator, believing in astrology, and I can comfortably talk about my addictions and accept myself as such. I am nervous and sometimes even nauseous, but only the kind of anxiety that you might get as you board a ship to begin a long overseas voyage. Uranus is transiting my natal Sun in my first house and Pluto’s hanging in my 10th. Self-image under extreme makeover!
Wow! Good for you. I can also personally relate with Uranus transiting conjunct my Aries Ascendant now and Pluto transiting in my 10th house exactly conjunct my natal Mars. I love the metaphor of boarding a ship to begin a long overseas voyage. Very powerful.
Yes, but I didn’t tell you the captain can’t be found, and I just read the ticket and it said “Destination Unknown.” That I am prepared for anything on this voyage due to my collected lenses and charts is my one consolation. I know I will need friends and allies on this trip, and if you do, too, just extend that Aries rising hand out! (If you can ask for help. Does that Aries persona allow you to ask?) I am Pisces rising; the Ocean unknowns are more enchantingly mysterious than scary.
I think with my Aries rising, Mars in the 10th, and Moon in Leo, I would probably want to find a way to commandeer that ship! Lol!
