Relationship Venus enters the discriminating realm of Virgo the Virgin (2:59 am EDT), for the next three weeks. This may translate into our being more selective and analytical in romance and partnerships.
However today, with Venus’s opposition to elusive Neptune in Pisces, our vulnerabilities may be on the rise. Venus-Neptune can blur boundaries. Sometimes with this aspect we also feel that we have to give more than we get.
Also on the shadow side there’s greater potential for some deceit with this influence, including the self-generated kind.
Additionally, Venus-Neptune has been known to produce some odd pairings. Such as unions with partners who are on completely different wavelengths. Lovable Venus, in caring Cancer, is trining idealistic Neptune in Pisces today. With this dreamy influence, we tend to look for the best in others and are more compassionate. It is also an aspect traditionally associated with wanting a “fairy-tale romance.” Sometimes, too, it can happen with this influence. At the very least, it is easier to go “under the spell” of our beloved now, as Venus-Neptune can be very hypnotic.
Interestingly, Danish fairy-tale writer and poet, Hans Christian Anderson, was born with this aspect exact in his horoscope, with his Venus at 27 of Pisces and his Neptune at 27 of Scorpio. We shift into more of a “we” mindset with the Moon’s descent into relationship Libra (8:29 am EST). Libra’s ruler, sweet Venus, also dives into the compassionate waters of Pisces today (12:48 am EST) where she will seductively swim until February 8. In dreamy Pisces, Venus helps to wet our appetite for fantasy and “fairy-tale romance,” making us more willing and receptive to the idea of tearing down our crusty relational walls in order to experience a feeling of total oneness or bliss with our beloved. Of course, on the flip side, this desire for a removal of boundaries can also make us more vulnerable emotionally, as our tender root system is exposed.
