The innovative Aquarius Moon may prompt us to think “outside the highly acclaimed box” today as a method of problem-solving. However, critical judge Saturn, in judicial Libra, is also forming a 150-degree stress aspect to idea maven Mercury in diffuse Pisces. This may mean that the supposed clever ideas that we are so diligently hatching may also have to be carefully weighed (Libra) for viability and utility (Saturn) before they can be released freely into the ether.

In the News: The U.S. Government Accounting Office (GAO) released a 345-page report on Monday detailing billions of dollars in so-called redundant federal programs. The revelation of this report comes amid the potent “Jupiter square Pluto” aspect; Jupiter-Pluto could be interpreted here as spending or growth gone wild, with expansive Jupiter denoting bloating and excess and Pluto governing tax-payer dollars.

Additionally, with Jupiter-Pluto we may also sometimes become privy to classified or secret information; we had this aspect when WikiLeaks first unveiled thousands of classified documents on the war in Afghanistan late July 2010.

Love goddess Venus, signifying what gives us pleasure, pairs up with liberating Uranus via the sextile aspect (9:49 am EST). We also have sort of a doubly whammy going on here because, later in the day, Venus exits practical Capricorn for avant-garde Aquarius (9:39 pm EST), the philanthropic sign of friendships that is also ruled by the planet Uranus. Venus will stay in Aquarius until March 27th.

Venus in electrifying Aquarius can make our love desires more unconventional or non-traditional. We may strike up alliances with persons we normally would not get involved with, in our enthusiastic quest to seek out more unusual interests or pastimes. We may also desire more personal freedom within the love arena. Aquarius characteristically likes to “do its own thing.” Of course, doing that can also sometimes come with a hefty cost, where matters of the heart are concerned. Something that we may want to keep in mind now, as we are tempted to walk more on the “wild side.”

Too, with Venus in hi-tech Aquarius, romance may take shape for some of us over the internet this month. Anyone here ever had any luck with internet dating? If not, now may be the time to bravely try it out again.

Must also mention here, lest I be remiss, that “Venus sextile Uranus” has been linked with “sudden love” or “love at first sight.” So the next 24 to 48 hours could be especially momentous here for those of us seeking a new love interest. Even existing relationships could become more exciting, if we are willing to “spice things up” just a bit now.

Venus in Aquarius is also a better time for us to get “unstuck” in love, to let go of ties that are outworn. This is partly because it is theoretically easier for us to be more emotionally detached now, as Aquarius is more intellectual or reasoning in its approach. Also, it’s an excellent period for more involvement in community or humanitarian affairs. Venus in Aquarius can equate to a love or fondness for groups. Love could also suddenly bloom or manifest in the course of pursuing group-oriented outlets.

Venus additionally rules money, fashion, and possessions. It could be that Venus in Aquarius coincides with new, more unique ways to generate cash flow. Aquarius is associated with using our ingenuity to get ahead. We may also want to jazz up our wardrobe or our immediate surroundings in funky new ways. Too, doing these things can sometimes help us to espouse other changes in our life, as it shows more of a receptivity and eagerness for experimentation. The color for Aquarius is a shimmering, electric blue.

Additionally, we have the Moon in futuristic Aquarius today. Again, breaking with our daily routine, or incorporating new changes or procedures now can be exciting and also help to maximize our efficiency. It’s an ideal day for immersion in social media, technology, innovation, or science (all Uranus-ruled). Astrology is also governed by Uranus. So, you are probably off to a good start with your day by reading this heavenly horoscope. 🙂

COSMIC WEATHER:

The Moon continues yet another day with her head down in “probing, disrobing” Scorpio. If you look up in the sky tonight, and see she’s also wearing dark shades, don’t be alarmed. She’s just in her “Darth Vader” Pluto costume mode (Pluto rules Scorpio). Trying to be anonymous.

Normally, the Moon in “secretive” Scorpio has the net affect of shutting us up, but today, we also have chatty Mercury in “appearances are important” Capricorn forming a quintile to “blabbermouth” Jupiter in “race car” Aries. We may have a special way with words today (quintiles reveal talents), but, of course, with Jupiter involved we could be running over at the mouth a bit. Not anything too excessive, mind you, as we do again have that “let me stare your face off ” Scorpio Moon. Also, Mercury is still separating from that square to Saturn, from the day before, that tends to put a damper on our verbal expression. Saturn forces us to use as few words as possible, so Mercury is still dealing with some of that parsimonious trauma.

One thing about the Scorpio Moon: It is never wimpy. It also gives us an enhanced thirst for power and control, and the Moon’s semi-square to Pluto (at 10:18 am EST) may be when this desire is most notable. Too, we have the “illuminating” Sun getting closer to an exact conjunction to self-assertive Mars in social media Aquarius (Monday). That once a year aspect is usually a pretty big deal and indicative of major power plays, coup d’etats. All of our ego needs are red hot with that influence. We may already be starting to feel this energy somewhat, especially if we are a member of the U.S. Congress. 🙂

In closing, it’s a pretty good day to play detective.  The Scorpio Moon loves to investigate. Too, we may want to pardy hardy in the basement or cellar tonight. Or, fool around in the crawl space under the house. The main thing is to remember to surround ourselves with as much darkness as possible (Scorpio Moon). Pitch black conditions are best.

Cosmic Weather:

Anyone feeling a tinge of sadness today because another sizzlin’ hot eclipse day has come and gone? Sort of like the party’s over upstairs. Everyone has packed up and left, and now it’s back to business as usual for the Sun, Moon, and the rest of the gang. But what the heck is going on with all of these dead blackbirds falling mysteriously from the sky in Arkansas? And now yesterday, in Louisiana, thousands of more dead blackbirds.  Really weird. Also, thousands of dead fish in the Arkansas River. Some people believe it’s UFO-related. Who knows, it could be? Or, maybe it’s the Capricorn eclipse? Historically, some scary things have happened around eclipses. Too, the Republicans are poised to take over the U.S. House today when the new Congress convenes. Some see that as a cataclysmic event. Many of the new House memebers have never held an elected office before. Of course, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Regardless of all these myriad elements, we do have some very cool lunar aspects today. Early on in the day, the ambitious Capricorn Moon throws harmonious aspects to inventive Uranus (5:30 am EST), visionary Jupiter (5:43 am EST) and love child Venus (7:16 am EST). It might be worth our while to put those aspects to use doing some creative project work, if we’re even awake then. Our intuition (Uranus) should be particularly strong. Of course, with sexy Venus still in naughty Scorpio, we may want to employ some of this clever ESP, under the sheets, in locating desired objects!

The Moon also enters “group-minded” Aquarius today (at 11:08 am EST), a time when we should forget about being an island, for a while, and go mingle instead. Aquarius denotes friends and acquaintances, groups, clubs, networking, and social causes. Also the internet. We additionally still have the tight conjunction going on between fortuitous Jupiter and genius Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) in fantasy Pisces. An aspect linked with miracles and sudden opportunities arising out of the blue. We also have a very magical creative quintile (72 degree aspect) from the Capricorn Sun to both Jupiter and Uranus. This is a dynamite day to showcase our originality and uniqueness. Especially perhaps with respect to how we part our hair, as Pisces is a sign associated with theater and masquerade, the outer costuming that we wear. The illusion that we want to create and project. It could be that we come up with entirely new ways to part our hair today, that are very riveting and sexy, and forever change the layout of our life. Venus (beauty) in transforming Scorpio is still aligned (trine) with inventive Uranus, which can bode well for new hairstyles, fashioning captivating new looks.

A few questions to maybe ask ourselves today:

How do we feel about the clubs or organizations that have granted us membership in the past?

What does it say about a club that will take us as a member? Are they that hard up?

How do we feel when we are parting our hair? Happy? Sad? Lukewarm? Panic-stricken?

Do we have any blockages or hang-ups about parting our hair a certain way? If so, why do we think this is the case? How is our natal Venus aspected in our horoscope? Is it aligned with repressed Saturn? Could it also be, perhaps, a matter of old childhood issues coming to the forefront? Maybe we need psychotherapy for resolving these delicate hair issues?

Also, how do we handle windy days and the sensitive matter of our hair? Is it best, perhaps, not to go out outdoors on those days? Maybe we should just stay inside with a scarf wrapped tightly around our head, in case someone opens the door on us, and puts our hair dramatically at risk of getting tossed around? 🙂
