Relationship Venus enters the discriminating realm of Virgo the Virgin (2:59 am EDT), for the next three weeks. This may translate into our being more selective and analytical in romance and partnerships.

However today, with Venus’s opposition to elusive Neptune in Pisces, our vulnerabilities may be on the rise. Venus-Neptune can blur boundaries. Sometimes with this aspect we also feel that we have to give more than we get.

Also on the shadow side there’s greater potential for some deceit with this influence, including the self-generated kind.

Additionally, Venus-Neptune has been known to produce some odd pairings. Such as unions with partners who are on completely different wavelengths. Mia Farrow, for instance, has this configuration in her chart and she married Frank Sinatra. It’s normal to have expectations. Today, however, with intellectual Mercury entering into the mix of the more volatile, unpredictable Uranus-Pluto alignment, it may be wise to withhold, or at least minimize, some of our intellectual preconceptions and try coasting in neutral instead. That way, if things don’t turn out entirely as we had planned, we won’t be so disappointed.

Too, there is always the possibility that things could take a twist and turn out better than we might have thought they would. With Uranus and Pluto, we often never really know what might come down. They are both excellent for keeping us on our toes, helping us to fashion creative, original responses to our environment.

Mercury-Uranus often brings us sudden, surprising news/developments and Mercury-Pluto often seems to force us to go deeper into our thinking. Too, sometimes with the Mercury-Pluto influence we are more prone to finding out or parlaying secret/confidential information.

The Moon’s foray into adventurous Sagittarius (12:34 pm EDT) should also be a favorable assist for us, as it can help us to be more curious, futuristic, and flexible in our perceptions and reactions. Also it can help us to see the big picture. “I wanted a perfect ending. Lovable Venus (money, values, relationships) is also sextile to expansive Jupiter. This may aid us in attracting the emotional and or material resources that we desire. It is also a very creative influence that favors artistic or musical endeavors.

With “liberating” Uranus in exact square formation to “transforming” Pluto, once again, a potentially revolutionizing influence that will continue to periodically play out over the next two or three years, we may want to ponder or scrutinize how we are personally using our individual power and influence (Pluto) to make a positive change or difference in the collective (Uranus).

It has been theorized that the average adult makes about 35,000 decisions per day. If we want to know what tomorrow will be like, all we pretty much need to do is monitor our decision-making today for clues. With each decision that we make, we set new things in motion for the future, for better or for worse.

Pluto not only governs transformation and the urge for influence and power in the world. It also governs our legacy, or what we will be leaving behind. With revolutionary Uranus aligned with Pluto now we maybe have a golden opportunity to significantly alter that legacy in such a way that we will know for sure in our hearts that when we go, we will be leaving the world a much better place.

Refer back to the 1960s, when we had Uranus conjunct Pluto. We had the civil rights movement gaining momentum in the U.S. The anti-war movement. The creation of Medicaid and Medicare as part of the “Great Society.” The birth of the women’s liberation movement. The sexual revolution. And, lest we forget, the emergence of John, Paul, George and Ringo. How can we build upon all of that in the coming years in a meaningful way? How can we continue to evolve and raise the bar so that there is a bright future for our children, and our children’s children?

With transformational Pluto, the official “makeover guru,” stationing direct in Capricorn today (1:07 am EDT), after a five-month retrograde (review) phase, we seem to have symbolic cosmic approval to outwardly re-define or re-invent ourselves in healthy new ways now, so as to allow for the fullest expression of our authentic self. Pluto also archetypically representing what is essentially our raw essence, or what is often submerged or buried within us at the core levels of our being.

We are all in this together. For better or for worse. And the Moon in diplomatic Libra is duly reminding us of this unalterable reality again, with Libra representing our desire for socialization and unity with others. “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” Jalal ad-Din Rumi

Mental Mercury also entered fair, balanced Libra, late yesterday, which can potentially aid us in seeing others’ point of view.

Mercury, however, is also under a bit of pressure today as it is quinqunx foggy Neptune (10:24 am EDT). With Mercury-Neptune, sometimes our thinking can get a little blurred or fuzzy, or we perhaps we are missing some key information that we could ideally employ in our brilliant decision-making. Might be a good day to be guided by the practical, enduring sentiment, “When in doubt, don’t.” 🙂

It often turns out, too, that when we are willing to mentally disengage ourselves for a while, instead of forcing ourselves into a certain mode of action before we are ready, we usually end up on a much clearer path with more self-assurance and conviction.
