Cosmic Weather:

The commanding Sun is having its annual meetup (conjunction) with optimistic Jupiter today (1:25 pm), occurring in the industrious sign of Capricorn, this year. This alignment between the two largest bodies of our solar system is usually a time when we naturally expect “big things” to happen, in part, because Jupiter, the planet of growth or expansion, is also linked with luck, prosperity, and generosity. Archetypally, it’s often billed as the “Cosmic Santa.”

Of course, with this year’s conjunction taking place in the more cautious, Saturn-ruled domain of Capricorn, it would appear that if there is some kind of big burgeoning or flourishing now, that it would likely be more contained or discreet, in some respects. Or, perhaps more likely based upon our individual level of worthiness or merit as viewed from a more achievement-oriented (or Capricornian) lense, such as, how good are we at carrying out our duties or responsibilities? At being self-disciplined? Being conscientious? And so forth.

In other words, while it’s very possible that we may receive a reward or notable distinction of some kind now with this Sun-Jupiter conjunction, it will probably be in exchange for something that we have already earned. Kind of like when we were in school, we might have made it to the Dean’s List, if we maintained a certain grade point average.

That said, if you still intuitively feel in your bones that you do really need to buy a lottery ticket for tonight, go right ahead! 🙂

Additionally, and perhaps more proactively, this Sun-Jupiter conjunction is also excellent for immersing ourselves in outlets that make us feel like we’re growing or expanding our world in some way, be it personally or professionally. For instance, it might be a good day to do some sightseeing or to read about other cultures. Or to maybe discuss philosophy with a friend. Or it could be that we opt to meet with a recruiter to see how we might be able to kick our career into high gear in 2020. This would also probably be a great day to put together a vision board, for next year, detailing what we would like to see happening in our lives, in the coming months.

“It takes someone with a vision of the possibilities to attain new levels of experience. Someone with the courage to live his dreams.” Les Brown

Numerologically, with it being a “nine” day (the 27th), there’s both a philosophical and philanthropic vibe to the day, which also fits right in with the overall nature of the Sun-Jupiter conjunction. There may also be more longing now to depart from convention and “go our own way.”

Astrology December 26, 2019: Solar Eclipse in Capricorn

change, daily astrology, habits, moon conjunct jupiter, numerology, optimism, self-mastery, Solar Eclipse in Capricorn 2019

Cosmic Weather:

Today’s Solar Eclipse in “mature, parental” Capricorn, at 4 degrees of the sign (12:13 am), potentially provides us with a realistic snapshot or assessment of our wondrous, enviable lives as well as hopefully supplying us with some practical, hands-on Saturnian wisdom on how to best nudge ourselves forward, in 2020, so we can make it to the top of that glorious, ever-beckoning mountaintop. Capricorn is a very outwardly ambitious sign keenly interested in leaving its industrious mark upon the world.

This is an excellent lunation period for our annual goal-setting, taking inventory of our strengths and weaknesses, eyeing our responsibilities or duties, evaluating and or restructuring our commitments, including deciding what it is that we may need to phase out now in order to forge ahead in the exciting new decade that is, already, less than a week away.

What’s also great about today’s Solar Eclipse (which basically acts as an “amped-up” New Moon) is that it’s conjunct propitious Jupiter, the planet of growth and opportunity. It’s also forming a flowing trine to non-conforming Uranus RX, which symbolizes innovation and change, and is deposited in materially-minded Taurus. These two harmonizing aspects will ideally help us to feel more optimistic or enthused about our future (including our careers and finances) and also possibly more willing to make any necessary creative alterations so that we can re-structure our playing field in such a way that our individuality and authenticity shine through in a manner that feels very liberating to us. If we’ve been feeling stifled or stuck, this lunation will hopefully help us to turn a new, progressive corner. New Moons are linked, as well, with embarking upon new beginnings.

This is also a perfect period for instituting positive daily practices or habits that can, over the long-term, allow us to become more self-actualized, or more complete versions of our best selves. With the more serious “nose to the grindstone” Capricorn energy, we’re naturally focused now on doing the requisite inner and outer work that’s needed in achieving self-mastery, which is really, of course, part of a lifelong process that we gradually attain in stages, although since eclipses can sometimes “speed things up,” it’s very possible that we’re also able to make a giant leap forward now, at least in terms of expanding our consciousness, where it basically all begins, anyway.

“Let him who would move the world first move himself.” Socrates

Generally, eclipses and eclipse points are also felt or remain charged for up to six months. Since July of 2018, we’ve been experiencing eclipses along the Cancer-Capricorn axis, with a Lunar Eclipse in familial Cancer, slated for January 10th, which is two days before the exact conjunction of Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn.

Some questions that we may also want to ask ourselves now with this Solar Eclipse in Capricorn: How might I be able to conserve more of my time, energy, and resources and yet still get ahead? What one thing could I achieve, in the outer world, that would greatly add to my sense of personal fulfillment? How might I view my perceived personal restrictions or limitations as gifts or opportunities? If I could wave a magic wand and eliminate my fears, how would my present life be different?

Numerologically, there’s also a lot of intensity to the day with it being an “8” day (the 26th). Often on “8” days, we’re more inclined to face down our fears, particularly if they’re getting in the way of what we’re wanting to achieve. There can also be more of an inner desire now for wielding our power or influence. I also like that the Solar Eclipse is occurring at “4” degrees of Capricorn, which is a strong, solid foundational number, really helping us to get rooted for “2020,” which is also a “4” year.

*All times EST.

being who you are, daily astrology, humanitarian causes, self-expression, Space Force comes into existence, Venus enters Aquarius in 2019

Cosmic Weather:

Venus, the planet of love, beauty, values, and money, flits into “counterculture” Aquarius today (1:41 am), where she will hang out until January 13th.

In Aquarius, Venus can be very friendly but detached.

Granting ourselves the personal freedom to show up in our relationships exactly as we are – instead of how we perceive others want us to be – also becomes more of a core value or aspiration for us now.

“When you are content to be simply yourself and don’t compare or compete, everyone will respect you.” Lao-Tzu

Additionally, Venus in “equality-minded” Aquarius can find us more naturally gravitating towards involvement in social or humanitarian-type causes.

We may also be more interested in things or purchases that could be described as “cutting-edge,” including perhaps craving the latest in technology or gadgetry. Digital currency may also pique our interest.

Some celebrities with Venus in Aquarius: Mary Chapin Carpenter, Carmen Miranda, Taylor Swift, Chris Rock, Nick Nolte, Liam Hemsworth

daily astrology, deception, Mars sextile Saturn, Mercury square Neptune, reaching goals, self-discipline

Cosmic Weather:

(Mars in Scorpio forms a waning sextile to Saturn in Capricorn, 4:59 am.; Mercury in Sagittarius forms a waning square to Neptune in Pisces, 11:19 pm.)

Today, we are likely better off just going with what we know and playing by the rules  (Mars sextile Saturn), while putting off pondering the ambiguous or oblique (Mercury square Neptune) for another day. 🙂

Motivating Mars sextile structuring Saturn is excellent energy for invoking self-discipline, working diligently at projects, getting organized, creating order, bringing long-standing matters to completion. It can be a time when our patience and persistence are rewarded.

While there is not a whole lot of fanfare to this aspect, it is a great influence for rendering a solid performance, especially when we are working within our strength or comfort zones.

With Mars also deposited in reconfiguring Scorpio, it’s possible that our actions or efforts now may be generating some measure or sense of transformation or feeling of inner renewal.

On the shadow side, logical Mercury squaring fantasy Neptune, the planet of deception, can potentially challenge us mentally, making it harder to sort out fact from fiction. Our imaginations also tend to be working overtime now, which can possibly end up making us more vulnerable – depending, of course, on how we manage to spin things in our heads. Too, if something seems too good to be true now, it is probably a  hoax or possibly an extension of wishful thinking.

On the plus side, this aspect can be very advantageous for any type of creative work, particularly when we are able to get in the flow and suspend judgment of our output.

“Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” Andy Warhol

breakthroughs, change, daily astrology, innovation, Jupiter trine Uranus, money

Cosmic Weather:

Today, guys, we may want to make sure that our highly fashionable “thinking caps” are firmly planted on our pointy, little, egg-shaped heads, from the get-go, as we’re more than likely to be visited by an “invasion of brilliance” that will be hovering around us for only a very finite period of time now; at best, for just a few days.

It may also be very prudent now, too, if we really try not to sneeze or sigh too heavily – for fear of chasing away these rare, sensitive, whatchamacallit “invisible entities” who are, no doubt, trying to cleverly zoom in on us from above. Impinge upon our delicate, impressionable psyches. Lasso us in with their exacting precision, so as to bestow upon us a seeming bevy of “higher offerings,” presumably from the hierarchy or top-dogs of the “galactic think tank,” located somewhere sketchy, but definitely in the vicinity of the Great Beyond! 🙂

Seriously, expansive Jupiter trining innovative Uranus (2:01 pm), has a legacy of coinciding with flashes of brilliance, breakthrough understandings, colossal perspective shifts. This is excellent, electrifying energy for reconfiguring or re-arranging the ever cryptic puzzle pieces of our remarkable lives so as to potentially allow for more personal freedom and authenticity of self-expression. Ideally enabling us to more fully, and more unabashedly, “do our own thing!”

Exciting advances, movements, shifts may also be occurring now, correspondingly, in the collective at large (which is also ruled by Uranus) that helps to thrust all of us forward, as a people, into a better, brighter tomorrow. For instance, When Jupiter and Uranus were exactly conjunct in Libra on July 20, 1969, is when we had the first manned space mission landing on the Moon (Apollo 11)!

Both Jupiter and Uranus are very futuristic in nature. Jupiter, governing our beliefs, our understanding, our higher vision is always wanting to include more of the wondrous world into its grand orbit. Uranus, with its own quirky, peculiar motion in outer space, relishes its role as being the odd planet (odd person) out. It also represents change itself or defying the status quo (Saturn).

Uranus also symbolizes individuality, intuition, elements of genius, and the tech industry. Jupiter and Uranus paired up ideally provide us with a promising chance to grow our world, as possibly never before, in ways we may have never even imagined, until now.

What’s also nice is that transiting Jupiter in Capricorn and Uranus RX in Taurus are both in practical earth signs, so we’re dealing with more solid, grounded energy that can generate tangible longlasting results in the real world. Now is a time to plant important seeds that will gradually grow, over time (Jupiter in Capricorn), into a bountiful harvest (hope springs eternal here)! Even taking small actions now can have very positive consequences for us, down the road, if we but keep tilling the soil.

We also want to, of course, take note of where we have these two planets moving through our personal charts (in what houses), as those are the specific areas of our life that are poised for cutting-edge, expansive developments or growth. Where we also need to do our part and enlist “out-of-the-box” thinking and strategies. Deliberately doing things up differently than before, as the old methods just won’t cut it anymore. New inspiration is what’s needed or required of us now.

Today’s trine is also the first time that Uranus in Taurus has been aspected by a major planet since it ingressed into Taurus, back in mid-May of 2018. So we may also be getting a real flavor or inkling now of what Uranus means for us, both individually and collectively, in the sign of the bull. How it is, perhaps, impacting, possibly shaking up, our money-consciousness, our values, our habits, our sense of stewardship of our own personal resources as well as the resources of Mother Earth. Again, the focus here, with all of these things, is on innovation, or on improving upon what has come before.

“The vast majority of human beings dislike and even actually dread all notions with which they are not familiar… Hence it comes about that at their first appearance innovators have generally been persecuted, and always derided as fools and madmen.” Aldous Huxley

Cosmic Weather:

Mars in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces (6:54 am): This waning trine aspect suggests we have the wherewithal, creativity, and inspiration to strategically pursue our dreams and visions in such a way that also helps to release or alleviate the stranglehold of the past. This is very nice energy for transformation or rebirth, and also for unification, as prior barriers or boundaries seemingly become more porous now.

On the other hand, we also have Venus conjunct Pluto in Capricorn (10:16 am). This is a very emotionally intense aspect that can notably arouse our feelings, passions, and desires. Not only can this make us feel things very deeply, but we can also be very single-minded in pursuing our goals now, especially in the realm of relationships or perhaps concerning our career. Because we are so focused on what we want now it may actually help us to manifest our agendas, particularly if we are careful not to overstep our boundaries. On the shadow side, more challenging Venus-Pluto aspects can incline us to operate in a more manipulative or calculating manner.

After yesterday’s Full Moon in “busy, breezy, overthinking” it Gemini, which may have gotten a lot of us “stirred up,” we now end our Friday the 13th with Luna deposited in her ruling sign of Cancer the Crab, putting self-care back into the spotlight. The Moon will remain in home-loving, family-oriented Cancer for the next couple of days.

ambiguity, communication, daily astrology, Full Moon in Gemini 2019, knowledge, understanding

Cosmic Weather:

With a Full Moon occurring today (12:12 am) in curious, “I Know” Gemini, the sign of The Reporter, we may possibly be privy to an influx of dizzying facts and information coming at us quickly now, that we may need to meander our way through.  As well as perhaps experiencing an equally strong desire to share what it is that we know, or have concluded, or are rapidly learning about.

Gemini is the communication sign, so there’s always a lot of natural “to and fro” energy swirling about it. A lot of buzz.

Since Full Moons also generate more light by which to see, they are generally regarded as “revelatory” in nature. So what has been hidden or submerged now has a good chance of coming out into full view.

Today’s Full Moon in Gemini also puts the opposing Sun in “I Understand” Sagittarius, which symbolizes The Philosopher. And, it’s also where Mercury, the ruler of today’s lunation, is hanging out. So we’re ideally seeking to balance or apply any of the incoming data (Gemini) that we are receiving now with a kernel of higher wisdom (Sagittarius) so it has, hopefully, a more meaningful, as well as more useful application or context for our lives.

However, one notable challenge that we may face with today’s lunation is that it forms a square to “elusive” Neptune. So it could be that we are dealing with something that is missing, confusing, or just not very reliable now. As a result, we may want to temporarily adopt a holding pattern of sorts, or a cautious wait-and-see attitude, until further details emerge.

It may also be a good time to wade a bit deeper into our faith and hope for the future (Sagittarius), especially if we’re feeling a bit out of sorts. Trusting that the Universe has our back, no matter what.

Too, in reality, when you think about it, when do we ever really have “all the answers” at our disposal when we want them? Much of the time, to adapt as best we can, we simply have to “wing it,” and just go with what it is that we do know.

And that could be, yet, another possible takeaway or reminder for us from today’s Full Moon in the sign of the Winged Messenger: To learn to embrace, and to accept, sometimes the sheer ambiguity of life (Neptune). To acknowledge that, sometimes, it’s perfectly okay “not to know.” Or to realize that we don’t have to twist ourselves into a pretzel every time we are unable to connect all the dots.

Also, sometimes, when we’re operating “a bit in the dark,” it’s a potent way for us to remain more fully engaged in life itself. And, at the end of the day, that could end up being a very good thing for us! 🙂

business, daily astrology, learning new things, Mercury in Sagittarius, money, Moon in Taurus, motivational speaking, numerology

Cosmic Weather:

We have some very promising, hopeful energy around to jumpstart our Monday!

One biggie: Winged Messenger Mercury flits into optimistic Sagittarius today (4:41 am), an enthusiastic fire sign, where it will stay until December 28th.

This upbeat placement for Mercury is excellent for expanding our perspectives, for helping us take a more global view of things, for igniting our curiosity.

We also tend to gravitate now towards conversations, or other forms of communication, in which we are able to freely express our beliefs or personal philosophy. We are also more interested in searching for the truth now, as we see or understand it.

Overall, Mercury in Sagittarius is excellent for teaching, learning new things, taking motivational courses or perhaps even doing some motivational speaking, if we’re so inclined. It might also be a fun time to start a blog or get involved with publishing or marketing, as Mercury in this sign is quite a promoter.

On the shadow side, Mercury in Sadge tends to minimize details in favor of the big picture or helicopter view (intellectual Mercury is in its detriment in Sagittarius, which is opposite Gemini, the sign that it rules). It is also sometimes associated with narrow-mindedness, even extremism, in the sense we can believe we have a monopoly on the truth.

“The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it.” Flannery O’Connor.

Anyway… after having thinker Mercury in emotionally intense, darker-in-orientation Scorpio for the last two months, in which there was also a focus on understanding and healing from the past, Mercury’s ingress into brighter, futuristic Sadge should be a very nice, welcome change for us and a perfect tie in for the more hopeful spirit of the holidays.

We also have the waxing Moon in grounded Taurus, all day, the sign of its exaltation. When Luna is here we are wanting to create more of a feeling of abundance or sense of permanence in our life. Archetypally, the Taurus Moon symbolizes The Builder.

It is also a great time to engage in activities that indulge our senses, or that brings us into our bodies.

The Moon is also forming several positive aspects today to Neptune (imagination), Venus (love), Saturn (structure), and Pluto (rejuvenation). So the energy is really excellent now for our being able to act in a steadfast, agreeable manner to further our goals.

It is also a great sign for building new habits or daily practices, especially in its waxing phase. The Taurus Moon also favors taking care of business or material concerns.

Numerologically, the 9th day of the month is associated with wisdom and responsibility. It can also inspire humanitarian efforts.

Cosmic Weather:

Beware! The “illuminating” Sun in archer Sagittarius is squaring “deceptive” Neptune in fishy Pisces today (3:59 am)! 🙂

As it is, most days are already crazy complicated enough to wade through. Don’t you agree? Why in the world we need to add psychedelic, hallucinatory Neptune to the cosmic setup now is beyond me. No doubt, it’s probably got something to do with inebriated gods up to no good at closing time!

Yet, on the other hand, we can probably all take pride and comfort in knowing that, today, it is likely a perfect time for attempting to walk across drought-stricken seas without fear of drowning. Or better yet, without fear of being swallowed up by an oversized minnow!

And on an even cheerier note, we do also have sweet, romantic Venus in “marrying for money” Capricorn sextile wishful-thinking Neptune (4:48 pm). So, at least there’s a shadow of hope that by the close of the day, some of us will probably end up being rescued by a wealthy prince or princess on a galactic-sized yacht so we can, hopefully, hang up our fishing poles for good! 🙂

Seriously, Venus sextile Neptune can, on occasion, match us up with our karmic soulmates. So that’s pretty cool. Or, at least pair us with acceptable substitutes. A comforting thought – especially since George Clooney is no longer an option, thanks to Amal!

Numerologically, today is also an “8” day often associated with money and power, and the ability to rein it in.

Cosmic Weather:

Good news! We’re closing out the workweek (or play week) with the “wind at our back” via the enterprising, self-confident Moon in Aries’ waxing trine to the visionary Sun in Sagittarius (8:04 pm). This is very motivating and inspiring energy that can compel us to take whatever action is necessary to turn a dream into reality.

Ideally, the Moon trining the Sun generates a feeling of ease or natural harmony between our body and spirit.

“A good way to think of your physical body is that it is the result of your energy, your emotions, your mind and your soul.” Catherine Carrigan

Numerologically, it’s also “6” day, which is associated with a desire for peace, love, and harmony, and wanting to be of service to others. Too, the shadow side to this number can make us act a bit like a “mother hen,” in the sense that we can become too meddling or intrusive in other people’s lives. So we may have to dial it back some, especially if people start giving us strange looks. 🙂
