Cosmic Weather:
The commanding Sun is having its annual meetup (conjunction) with optimistic Jupiter today (1:25 pm), occurring in the industrious sign of Capricorn, this year. This alignment between the two largest bodies of our solar system is usually a time when we naturally expect “big things” to happen, in part, because Jupiter, the planet of growth or expansion, is also linked with luck, prosperity, and generosity. Archetypally, it’s often billed as the “Cosmic Santa.”
Of course, with this year’s conjunction taking place in the more cautious, Saturn-ruled domain of Capricorn, it would appear that if there is some kind of big burgeoning or flourishing now, that it would likely be more contained or discreet, in some respects. Or, perhaps more likely based upon our individual level of worthiness or merit as viewed from a more achievement-oriented (or Capricornian) lense, such as, how good are we at carrying out our duties or responsibilities? At being self-disciplined? Being conscientious? And so forth.
In other words, while it’s very possible that we may receive a reward or notable distinction of some kind now with this Sun-Jupiter conjunction, it will probably be in exchange for something that we have already earned. Kind of like when we were in school, we might have made it to the Dean’s List, if we maintained a certain grade point average.
That said, if you still intuitively feel in your bones that you do really need to buy a lottery ticket for tonight, go right ahead! 🙂
Additionally, and perhaps more proactively, this Sun-Jupiter conjunction is also excellent for immersing ourselves in outlets that make us feel like we’re growing or expanding our world in some way, be it personally or professionally. For instance, it might be a good day to do some sightseeing or to read about other cultures. Or to maybe discuss philosophy with a friend. Or it could be that we opt to meet with a recruiter to see how we might be able to kick our career into high gear in 2020. This would also probably be a great day to put together a vision board, for next year, detailing what we would like to see happening in our lives, in the coming months.
“It takes someone with a vision of the possibilities to attain new levels of experience. Someone with the courage to live his dreams.” Les Brown
Numerologically, with it being a “nine” day (the 27th), there’s both a philosophical and philanthropic vibe to the day, which also fits right in with the overall nature of the Sun-Jupiter conjunction. There may also be more longing now to depart from convention and “go our own way.”

Born On This Day: German astronomer Johannes Kepler, in 1571, who discovered the laws of planetary motion.
Johannes Kepler once wrote: I demonstrate by means of philosophy that the earth is round, and is inhabited on all sides; that it is insignificantly small, and is borne through the stars.
Hope it’s a good one!
