Sometimes we need to pull back from others. Maybe to reset a boundary that has gotten blurred. Or to simply reconnect with our center to examine how our relationships are reflecting what is in our heart. Today’s Venus square Saturn aspect can help to provide us with the distance that we may temporarily need so that we can once again discern or identify our true desires. Or it could be that this influence helps to provide a sacred space for us to seriously ponder our commitments.  Often, too, when we have the courage to let go of whatever it is that we desire, we find that what we really need has a way of effortlessly flowing into our lives.

Energetic Mars is also sextile to perceptive Pluto. This potent influence can additionally help to re-align us with our own light so that we are better able to stand upright in our own truth. This can also be a very transformational aspect that can positively reconfigure or reshape elements in our environment. COSMIC WATCH:

With the Moon still in charming, playful Leo today and making a flowing trine to the exploratory Sun in Sagittarius (11:07 am EST) we are encouraged to pursue fun and adventure, perhaps as a healing form of rejuvenation. Although, an evening opposition to fantasy Neptune (8:20 pm EST) cautions us not to read more into a situation than what really exists. Moon-Neptune can always be a little tricky to navigate.

Later, the Moon’s entrance into discerning, fact-finding Virgo (10:59 pm EST) and a follow-up trine to philosophical Jupiter helps us to achieve a broader, but clear-cut perspective (11:55 pm EST). Additionally, Moon-Jupiter is an aspect of abundance, with Jupiter often regarded as the “Cosmic Santa Claus.” Interestingly, Jupiter will also be stationing direct, this year, exactly on Christmas Day. Wonder if there is any special significance to that? I like to think that there is and that it is all good.

Celebrity News: The late Elizabeth Taylor’s legendary collection of precious jewels went to auction on Tuesday evening at Christie’s in New York, just as the Moon was appropriately entering glitzy, glamorous Leo.

The auction marathon began with the Leo Moon square to expansive Jupiter in Taurus, the sign of money and possessions. This aspect often correlates with our overspending, as opulent Jupiter can incline us to want to do things on a lavish or extravagant scale. (Wonder if any of the successful bidders have any buyer’s remorse now?) The Leo Moon was also making a trine to electrifying Uranus. Uranus influences often provide us with singular, one-of-a-kind experiences.

Too, Elizabeth Taylor natally had Venus, which happens to rule jewelry and things of beauty, exactly conjunct Uranus in Aries in her birth chart, perhaps helping her to amass her original, “out of this world” collection in the first place. Of course, multiple marriages to wealthy, generous men did not hurt her cause any either. 🙂 Venus-Uranus can also bring about “out of the norm” romance and whirlwind courtships. (As a child, I was always so enraptured and fully mesmerized by her marriage to Richard Burton, who I also had a major crush on.)

So far, the jewelry sale on Tuesday and Wednesday (Leo Moon both days) has fetched $137.2 million, reportedly making it the most valuable sale of jewelry in auction history. (Unfortunately, due to a temporary shortage of funds, yours truly was, regrettably, unable to partake in any of the bidding, even though my Leo Moon would have loved to have done so.)

Do you have a favorite piece of jewelry that holds a lot of sentimental value for you?

BTW, last week, someone generously dropped a diamond ring valued at $3,500 into a Salvation Army kettle near where I live. Pretty neat, huh? We should all be so inclined. ‘Tis the season.

Even though we have the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars all in practical, conservative Taurus, some of us may be willing to take a bit more of a gamble today with our resources. Or, at least muse ourselves about something a little “pie in the sky.” This is primarily due to the placement of the Moon in “reach for the stars” Sagittarius.

Egging the Moon on in the risk-tolerant department today, too, is mental Mercury’s positive semi-sextile to wacky, but possibly “brilliant idea guru” Uranus in “new day” Aries (Uranus also rules our hunches and intuition). Of course, it is conceivable that we could, indeed, come up with some game-changing strategy that could end up putting some extra jingle (Taurus) in our pocket.

Also, love maven Venus is making the very same 30-degree aspect to “wild thing” Uranus. This could lead to our giving keen consideration today to the delicious idea of absconding with the cute, produce guy at the local grocery store. 🙂 Venus-Uranus can spawn sudden infatuations, often with types we are normally not attracted to. In general with this aspect, it’s a favorable time for partaking in leisure activities (Venus-ruled) that are refreshingly different (Uranus). Even dressing a little bolder or daring today might give us a big emotional lift.

Do you get a boost when you wear certain kinds or colors of clothing, shoes, or maybe style your hair differently? The late Elizabeth Taylor had her Venus (ruling beauty) exactly conjunct her Uranus in bold Aries and most of us always felt magically enamored (Uranus) by her singular presence on the silver screen. Also, the late Johnny Cash (born just a day apart from Elizabeth) always called attention to himself by dressing only in black. Johnny, who also had his Venus conjunct Uranus, was officially known as “the man in black.” Miss them both.

One other noteworthy thing here about Uranus and fashion: The moment that Kate Middleton stepped out of the limousine at her wedding in April, unveiling her wedding gown to the world for the very first time, Uranus was exactly trining the “royal” Leo Ascendant, indicating something “electrifying” was unfolding then on the horizon (Uranus is likened to a thunderous bolt of lightning out of the blue). Of course, the matter of Kate’s wedding gown, and who designed it, had been the “best kept secret in the world,” for several months.
