COSMIC WATCH:
The “ambitious” Capricorn Moon suggests that we put our attention on career or business concerns today. The placement of the Moon in this Saturn-ruled sign tends to make us more practical or utilitarian in our daily approach.
Also, a fortuitous trine aspect from the Moon to optimistic Jupiter (4:50pm EDT) in financial Taurus may bring along with it some tangible rewards our way or fab opportunities for us to shine. Assertive Mars in self-protective Cancer is also making a creative quintile aspect to Jupiter, upping the ante on our enthusiasm and courage.
“Each of us seems to have a main focus, a particular idea of practicality – a concept of ‘what we want out of life’ against which we judge our experiences.” Jane Roberts
Famous People with Moon in Capricorn: Brad Pitt, Cher, Johnny Depp, David Letterman.
Intention for today: “I am making steady progress in my journey to get ahead.”
Enjoy your Tuesday!

Dear Patrice:
Your sun | moon | asc : taurus | leo | aries
My sun | moon | asc : capricorn | aries | pisces
[am i correct about your signs?]
any insight / comments about my signs compared to yours, Your Highness?
sheel
Yes, you are correct about my signs! My Leo Moon likes the “Your Highness” salutation. 🙂
We are somewhat similar, both self-starters, although I think you probably have more of a softer outward demeanor than I have with your sensitive Pisces Rising.
Thank you so much, Your Majesty!
You are right about the words ‘soft’ / ‘sensitive’ — once upon a time, when i was a young girl, i was much more sensitive[cry baby] & others described me as ‘soft-spoken’; now [only 38y], life experiences have made me tougher & wiser, i suppose.
little more about me:
i went to USA in 1997 after my marriage; lived there with my husband until we packed our boxes & came back to India in 2008; we got no child & we are okay with that.
….and one more thing: we lived in Illinois, Missouri & Oklahoma.
sheel
That must have been quite an experience for you moving from India to the U.S. What fascinates you about astrology?
my life in USA, i would say, was a mixture of likables & not-likables [i think it applies to ‘life’ itself]; the overall experience was ‘good’;
i like the ‘she-power’ of USA — definitely changed me into bolder / wiser ‘she’;
weather conditions there made my allergy problems worse & cold weather was not getting easy for me as i developed low-thyroid condition [ & still learning about the small gland called ‘thyroid’ & its big role in our body ].
re ‘astrology’, i was naturally attracted toward it & curious to learn more; i studied computer science & engineering in college [my dad’s choice] & got my bachelor’s degree; i was not interested to do anything with my studies, though i just followed my dad’s instructions & tried to get a job [or] do higher studies in computer field;
during those jobless-graduate days, my choice was to buy & read Linda Goodman’s [you must be knowing her] book about sun signs; also, i read Dr.Wayne Dyer’s book titled ‘your erroneous zones’ [psychology subject] — when i was reading his book in 1996 in India, i did not know i will be in USA seeing him on TV in 1997/98;
i was never close to my parents [both lecturers in college] & they pushed me into marriage in 1997 & sent me off to USA [i am third/last child, so their duty is over]; i had no idea how challenging my married life was going to be… [o my… i feel like i crossed some big ocean & it’s amazing that i am still married & to the same person]… internet facility became my friend & free astrology sites became my guide, when i could not share certain difficultys with another;
i am interested in ‘psychology’ also — bcos i suffered from psychological problems & i had to pay attention to my thinking / my beliefs, to solve my problems; i have been learning astrology by reading writings of people [mostly belong to USA] & i think there is strong connection between astrology and psychology; healthy psychology is important & i think astrology can be one tool to achieve that;
i also think astrology is connected to ‘karma’ — i think ‘karma’ is something that determine things that the individual person cannot control; i tell myself ‘karma’ is the reason for things like difficult times with my parents / complex relationship with my dad / what i got as a child;
do you believe in karma, Patrice?
sheel
Fascinating bio! I do believe in cause and effect. What I think is so important, too, is to “live” in the present, as there is so much power in the present moment.
Dear Patrice,
Thank you so much for your responses; it was ‘enlightening’. Thanks again…
happy day to you!
