The Moon’s ingress into pioneering Aries (4:24 am) stokes our desire for new adventures. Luna’s conjunction with change-agent Uranus (1:24 pm) also acts to propel us into the future and potentially provides us with more of a platform to “do our own thing,” which the Aries Moon is already very receptive to doing.
“Loose cannon” Uranus is associated with individuality and non-conformity. It encourages us not to render cookie-cutter responses, so this alignment can be very refreshing and rejuvenating, especially if we are willing to be true to our authentic selves.
Later on, some possible resistance to our plans in the guise of the Moon’s square to controlling Pluto (5:08 pm) in authoritative Capricorn. This may be a good time to go inside ourselves and examine our behavior and see if there is perhaps something outworn in us that we can purge (Pluto) that will ideally add to our sense of agency or power. Moon-Pluto is thought to be a very effective cathartic/healing agent.

I must confess, in my teens, in the late 60s and early 70s, I loved dressing up like a hippie after school. Had the moccasins, bell bottoms, the whole nine yards. Also had long, waist-length hair, to create the full affect. Looked a bit like Cher, who was an idol of mine at the time. I remember I would also sit in my bedroom and burn incense and listen to Mick Jagger, the Beatles and Donovan on my stereo. We had Pluto conjunct Uranus in the 60s and that did really fire up individualistic expression. Of course, with the Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn, for the next few years, that will again be the case, and it is, of course, already happening with the Mideast revolts, etc. What I really miss, though, is the creative music from that era that was so representative of the times. The golden age of rock and roll. I am glad that I did grow up then.
