“In order to understand the world, one has to turn away from it on occasion.” Albert Camus
An opportunity to disengage from the hamster wheel, for a spell, in a quest for more serene pastures (Luna in Pisces). Also, a sweet chance for us to play nice with each other; perhaps even revive or breathe new life into an old relationship or situation that had been perhaps left for dead or abandoned (Moon-Venus). We are also more open to experimentation, this evening, as well as possibly displaying our quirkier side (Moon sextile Uranus). To that end, the late Gemini poet and prolific writer Allen Ginsberg, a founding father of the counterculture Beat Generation once wrote: “Follow your inner moonlight; don’t hide the madness.” Ginsberg espoused, among other things, gay rights and anti-war movements. In the 1960s, he also coined the phrase “flower power,” synonymous with peace and love as a way to change the world.
On This Day in History: On September 19, 1778, the Continental Congress passes the first U.S. federal budget, in a bid to pay for its war debts and to regulate the federal government’s taxes.
Astrological highlights that day: Venus (money and resources) was applying to an exact conjunction with structuring Saturn in Scorpio (the sign of taxes) – an excellent aspect for organizing our finances. The problem-solving Virgo Sun was also applying to a trine to Pluto in (government-ruling) Capricorn. Sun-Pluto aspects often trigger/spark transformational activities/endeavors. Additionally, Jupiter was in harvesting Virgo and in a tight sextile to the stewardship-minded Venus-Saturn meetup. Jupiter’s propitious ray often helps to bestow blessings upon matters.
“Death, taxes, and childbirth! There’s never any convenient time for any of them.” Margaret Mitchell 🙂
Hope it’s a good one! Please be safe and well!

great text! thanks, I met Ginsberg a few times and we were good Dharma bums. He sent me book in the 80s to POland which was unusual at the time…
peace, Maguralsky
Wow, how cool to have met Ginsberg and to also get a book from him in the mail! I never met him but he sure was a very influential figure in the culture when I was growing up. My husband once saw him when he spoke at the University of Wisconsin in Madison in the 70s. Thanks for sharing!
welcome, he used to come to Warsaw often as his grandparents were coming from these lands to the USA in 1900s. He also travelled a lot! he even went to Cuba ! and was banned there… I saw him also a year before his death, he was cool a real gentleman. stay safe. p.s. but meeting Lou Reed was much more amazing, as a radio DJ i did an interview before his gig here in 2000 and we agreed on Tai Chi aa our common path and he also started studying Buddhism… he was so cool.
Don’t know much about Lou Reed. His song “Walk on the Wild Side” was very Uranian for the time. Have a good rest of the day!
Thank you Patrice, yes Lou Reed was weird and Uranian to the bone; Good Night!
