“When we are active, we become stronger and more energetic. This, in turn, makes us more positive and self-confident. It’s a powerful cycle.” Ernest Cadorin

We start off the last Monday of 2020 with the Waxing Moon in fickle, curious Gemini, which means our attention may be a little bit here, a little bit there. There is also more of a desire for taking personal initiative, especially as the day progresses, with Luna sextile to assertive Mars in Aries (10:01 pm), which also naturally raises our propensity for risk-taking or adventure. Articulating our thoughts or feelings also comes more naturally to us now with the Moon deposited in word sleuth Gemini.

Numerologically, the 28th day of the month (which reduces down to “one”) additionally bodes well for embarking on new personal beginnings. The only caution here is that we do not want to spread ourselves too thin, going into tomorrow’s Full Moon in emotionally protective Cancer.

On This Day in History: On December 28, 1612, Galileo observes and records a  “fixed star” without realizing it was the planet, Neptune.

Astrologically, in the sky then, futuristic Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion, was exactly conjunct Neptune, at 26 degrees of magnifying, refining Virgo – beneficent Jupiter, no doubt, helping to gently goad ethereal Neptune out from the shadows. Jupiter-Neptune conjunctions often have an otherworldly feel to them. It is often a time, too, when our dreams are given their angel wings.

“All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.” Galileo Galilei

Neptune would later be formally discovered on September 23, 1846, at the Berlin Observatory by German astronomer Johann Gottfried Galle when the transiting, pioneering Mars was at 25 degrees of Virgo (activating that original Jupiter-Neptune meetup point). Also, on that day structuring Saturn was exactly conjunct nebulous Neptune at 25 degrees of scientifically-minded, breakthrough Aquarius. Saturn-Neptune aspects often have a way of piercing through the veil of illusion to reveal the true nature of things.

Hope it’s a good one! Please be safe and well.
