Cosmic Weather:

Delicately sandwiched between yesterday’s high-voltage Mars-Uranus opposition and tomorrow’s potent Lunar Eclipse in Taurus is today’s subtle, flowing trine from probing Mercury in Scorpio to fantasy-weaving Neptune Retrograde in Pisces (10:38 am). Ideally, this affords us a chance to catch our breath, a bit, and immerse ourselves in the gentle, rejuvenating waters of our imagination and intuition. Too, it’s not that we have to totally turn off our ‘secret-busting radar’ now; it’s just that we can perhaps go about the inquisitive voyage in a more nuanced, seemingly effortless manner, honing in on what wants to naturally appear when we opt to put our impressive selves on autopilot for a spell, giving our left brains a much-deserved break.

Mercury-Neptune can also heighten our compassion or sensitivity toward others, translating into a cool opportunity for us to pay it forward.

Two, very nice, harmonizing trine aspects are occurring today as those of us, in the US, get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving Day:

Mercury in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces (4:50 am) – This lovely, more inspirational-type aspect potentially helps us to become more empathic or heart-centered in our conversations or communications. It’s excellent energy for generating overall psychic awareness or for tapping into our intuition. Ideally, we’re feeling more connected with our own inner sense of divinity. Possibly more willing to seeing unifying threads among us all. It’s also an excellent aspect for doing any kind of creative work, or for listening to music, or for maybe relaxing by the sea.

Venus in Capricorn trining Uranus RX in Taurus (1:27 pm): This exciting aspect can motivate us to want to partake in some stimulating or out-of-the-norm social or romantic activities. It can also bring people into our orbit who we might not normally interact with but now find very engaging or even liberating to be around. This galvanizing energy may also present us with sudden opportunities or outlets for financial or professional growth, including the chance to take fresh new approaches to these areas.

The waxing Moon also enters traditionally-minded Capricorn, this morning (7:32 am), where it will remain for the next couple days. This lunar placement helps us to appreciate or draw upon our past experiences, in a positive way.

Numerologically, with it being the 28th day of the month, there’s also greater potential for being able to express leadership qualities, as well as for taking initiative.

All too often, in the course of leading our hectic, daily lives, it seems that many of us regularly lose sight of our own “personal dream horizon,” that dear guardian vista that cradles our noblest aspirations and intentions. We get caught up the busyness of our existence, scurrying to and fro, and we forget to fill up our “dream tanks” with the special premium fuel that is required to transport us a little further, into that sacred, fertile region presided over by our Higher self, or that part of our being that always has our best interest at heart, that always knows the next, right step to take to move us along.

Fortunately for us, we are seemingly in the throws of “cosmic enlightenment” now. We have mental Mercury, governing our thoughts and perceptions, in shrewd, transforming Scorpio, and it is positively trining dream-weaver Neptune, the planetary ruler of our imagination and the metaphorical gatekeeper of our “higher vision.” Mercury has also just stationed direct, giving it a higher profile.

With the whimsical, illusory Mercury-Neptune at the helm, our grand dreams often speedily get their angel wings. This is a very creative aspect that not only allows us to gracefully realign ourselves with our authentic dreams and intentions, it also favors all manner of artistic expression, such as painting, poetry, drawing, photography, acting, and dancing. Also, it’s good for psychic or intuitive development, particularly clairvoyance. What we see before us today, may very well be our future, tomorrow. We may also want to pay more attention to any messages from our nocturnal dream life now, which Neptune also represents.

What are some of the glorious dreams for your life? Today is an excellent time to meditate on them and jot them down. Also, strive to visualize in detail how you can achieve them, by putting the magical, envisioning power of Mercury-Neptune to work for you in a practical way.  Also, what one action could you take now to move yourself closer to making one of your dreams a reality? On a another level, Neptune also symbolizes typhoons or hurricanes. There are heartbreaking news reports (Mercury) circulating about today regarding the tragic victims of “super-typhoon” Haiyan in the Phillippines, over the weekend. Reportedly, at least 10,000 persons are feared dread from the storm. The Mercury-Neptune aspect perhaps attuning us to the ephemeral nature of our existence (Neptune is known as the “Great Dissolver”), as well as possibly harkening us to show unconditional compassion and love to each other, especially to those who are facing formidable odds. “Every single time you help somebody stand up you are helping humanity rise.” Steve Maraboli

COSMIC WATCH:

Even though the Moon remains in self-assertive Aries, during the daytime, there is also a dreamy aspect to the energy today as mental Mercury trines imaginative Neptune, our formal portal to unseen worlds and mystifying experiences. Also the Moon herself is making a sextile to Neptune (6:14 pm EDT). Neptune’s prominence can help to make us more conciliatory and forgiving, more willing to overlook transgressions and flaws, as Neptune governs both our sense of compassion and our spiritual inklings. This planet characteristically poises us to want to see the best in others, which can, of course, also translate into our being a little more vulnerable now.

This is also a great day to be creative with words (Mercury) and our overall self-expression. Many artists, performers, songwriters, painters, and poets, have Neptune strong in their charts. For example, former Beatle, Paul McCartney, was born with Neptune exactly conjunct his Ascendant. Elvis Presley had Neptune near his Midheaven (career house).

Later, Luna shifts into earthy Taurus (9:35 pm EDT). Correspondingly, that is also the time when we must sadly descend from the Neptunian clouds and bid our fond adieu to the heavenly angels, who were nice enough to take us under their cocooning wings for a while to offer us some measure of safe harbour and uplifting refuge from our mundane, everyday lives.

Cosmic Weather: There is a definite momentum or build up in the energy around us leading up to the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on June 26th in the ambitious sign of Capricorn.  The eclipse will put the finishing touches on the Grand Cross drama presently playing out in the sky.

Adding to the feeling of momentum today is the emotional Moon in fiery, restless Sagittarius, eager to discover new horizons.

Thought-keeper Mercury, however, also receives some serious counsel from restrictive Saturn about real world responsibilities and obligations, curtailing a measure of the wanderlust.

Although, another trine from Mercury to idealistic Neptune beseeches Mercury to keep on dreaming. Neptune counsels Mercury: “You’re unstoppable now, kid! You’ve got momentum! Don’t listen to Saturn. His vision is myopic. We’ve been at each others throat for years. Just tune out the ole’ fart.”
