Cosmic weather: With the arrival of the Summer Solstice today and the official switch in the northern hemisphere from spring to summer, there is hopeful change being served up by Mother Nature for the next three months.

This change is being made even more exciting due to the presence of innovative, but highly erratic, change-agent Uranus, who is ready and eager to greet the Sun today (via the “square aspect”) with his characteristic “mischievous smile.”

Uranus promises to change things up for us quite a bit this summer.

For example, if you’re accustomed to playing out your life’s song in the lower octaves, Uranus will likely suddenly change the score on you, so that you’ll also get a chance to know and play in the higher octaves as well.

Uranus, while more than a little quirky and unpredictable, is equated with originality and genius.  “Johnny One Note” doesn’t cut it with him. He wants us to be able to brilliantly improvise – and at a moment’s notice!

He especially longs for grand symphonic music from each and every one of us. That’s the preferred change Uranus is hoping to see from us this summer.

Let’s give Uranus our best thought, our best idea. Our best humanity. We really can change the world and, in the process, make some beautiful music together.

Cosmic weather: We are in a transition period as we get ready for the Summer solstice tomorrow and the Sun’s entrance into familial Cancer at which time it will make a tight square to Change-Agent Uranus in Aries, the sign of new beginnings.

The winds of change are starting to blow and we best be ready for them. Today is a good time to “batten down the proverbial hatches” and reflect upon both where we’ve been and where we want to go.”

Transition

It is the gap of transition that shakes us.

On June 19th we come face to face with restrictive Saturn via a square from the Gemini Sun. This configuration has a way of reining us in and pointedly delineating for us the various impediments or roadblocks along our path.

Our challenge now is to patiently make peace with our situation and find a new way to navigate the bumpy crossroads so as to arrive safely at our destination.

Well, Santa may have a special place in his heart for girls who have been naughty, but I’m not taking any chances.

I’ve loaded up on cookies, milk and vodka, and before I go to bed tonight, I’m going to put these things out for him and hope that he’ll fondly remember me.

Santa is arriving today folks via Venus trine Jupiter (Santa), a classic aspect of “good fortune.” So get out that wish list and set out the cookies and other goodies and see what happens.

We also have a MAJOR transformational aspect occurring today with trail-blazing Mars trining life-changing, renovating Pluto.  This is occurring alongside the merry “Santa Claus” aspect and whispers to us of exciting turnarounds in our personal lives and for the collective. News Update: A wild-cat strike at the 2010 World Cup has been causing major headaches. I guess it’s to be expected when you throw an event like this alongside rebellious, defensive Mars just entering the work-sign of Virgo.  Then at the start of the event, we had the explosive Mars quinqunx to Jupiter/Uranus in Aries, the sign of sports. Also, we had Mercury square Mars.

Event in history on this date: On June 15, 1994, Disney’s “Lion King” opens in theaters with $42 million in sales. On that very day, Ms. Venus herself entered “Lioness territory” with her grand entrance into “Leo the Lion.” Venus rules what we love and in Leo, we gotta’ love those lions and lionesses!
