Cosmic Weather:

On this first Saturday in June, the Waning Gibbous Moon is deposited in airy, independent Aquarius for the bulk of the day. Its awkward quincunx to lovey-dovey Venus (4:40 am) and bloviating Jupiter, (11:21 am) both snuggled together in nesting, clinging Cancer, may be all the motivation that we need to temporarily fly the coop now, so as to ideally gain some much-needed personal space/breathing room/objectivity. 🙂

This evening, Luna’s sextile to wounded warrior Chiron (7:42 pm) potentially supports us in the acceptance of our vulnerabilities, especially as we may come to the realization now that we are not alone in this department.

Shortly afterwards, Luna shifts into introspective Pisces (8:43 pm) ideally setting the scene, over the next two days, for soothing self-renewal. Also, an excellent period to maybe reflect upon some of the fresh new awarenesses stemming from the recent Full Moon in Sagittarius.

(Moon in Aquarius forms a waxing square to the Sun in Scorpio, at 11 degrees, 5:22 am)

So, a week ago, with the New Moon in ‘penetrating’ Scorpio, we likely put some new projects or activities into motion and, with today’s First Quarter Moon in ‘detached’ Aquarius, we now have, hopefully, just enough lunar light around to see how they’re faring.

The First Quarter Moon is synonymous with a “crisis in consciousness” in which we’re motivated to take some manner of action (the square aspect) normally in wake of some new, emerging reality, which could possibly be an event or situation suddenly unfolding.

The First Quarter Moon in ‘airy’ Aquarius also suggests that there’s a need now to step back, or to emotionally distance ourselves, from the more passionate orientation of the Scorpio New Moon. There may also be a special ability now to ingeniously tinker with our burgeoning creations so that they evolve in a way that more satisfactorily suits our needs for individuality or self-expression within the collective.

Numerologically, with it being the 4th day of the month, we also have potentially more opportunity now to build a more solid foundation for ourselves. In Tarot, the 4th card of the Major Arcana is The Emperor, suggesting an ability to act with more authority and willpower.

Too, we have somewhat of a cosmic tie-in here today: This “ability for detachment,” is conceivably more doable now, and serenity and purity, possibly more attainable, as the emotional Moon is in”airy” Aquarius all day, aligning harmoniously with “stabilizing” Saturn (11:13 am EDT) in judicial, impartial Libra (another intellectual air sign) and sextile to “philosophical” Jupiter (11:41am EDT) in “moving forward” Aries.

Theoretically, and ideally, the “cutting-edge” Aquarius Moon confers the wherewithal to be able to “remotely view” our issues and circumstances apart from any complicating emotions. Additionally, Saturn’s “firm involvement” in the matter (Saturn rules concentration), is extra “icing on the cake” for us, while “teacher” Jupiter provides us with an extra measure of vision and wisdom.
