“When men and women are able to respect and accept their differences then love has a chance to blossom.” John Gray

Love goddess Venus enters stabilizing Capricorn on February 4th, where she will be firmly anchored until March 2nd. With Venus situated in cautious Saturn’s terrain, and Saturn in Libra, also in Venus’ home turf (mutual reception), there is more of a pragmatic quality to our relationships. We are less interested in “one night stands” now, unless they may fit into our long-range strategic planing (Saturn). 🙂

While Venus in Capricorn can be personally ambitious and also needs to be highly regarded and respected, she is generally seeking something more enduring romantically, perhaps for all eternity. Saturn rules time, so the focus is naturally more on longevity and the long-term commitments. Venus in Capricorn can be very faithful. Also, very passionate, once she dedicates herself, although initially on the surface, there may be a certain reserve or shyness, due to Saturn’s more sobering influence.

Figuring prominently into the equation for Venus in Capricorn: We prefer not to get involved with losers! What is meant by that is, we are looking for partners who will not be content to just loaf around. Instead we want alliances with those types of persons who are willing to “pull their own weight,” and bring something tangible to the plate. Capricorn is the sign associated with status, reputation, and achievement.  Self-made types who hold visible positions of power may hold special appeal for us, in the coming weeks ahead. Also, Venus in Capricorn often has a thing for older persons. Fabulous news for the over 50 crowd!

Venus also rules money, possessions, and our values. In Capricorn, we tend to be more conservative in our outlay of cash, and also are searching more for quality and substance, over quantity and frills. We are more interested in investments that are traditional and tried-and-true. Capricorn also rules our professional life and Venus here may bring more success to us on the career-front, as it is very benefic in influence. Networking to further our careers is highly recommended, especially on February 9th, when Venus conjuncts powerhouse Pluto, a time when we can make a formidable impact on others, if we play our cards right.
