With “Love Goddess” Venus, in “Marital” Libra, in a harmonious trine to “Fantasy” Neptune in the heavens, Britain’s Prince William finally proposes to long-time girlfriend, Kate Middleton, after an eight year courtship. The Royal Wedding is slated to take place some time next spring or summer.
“Venus trine Neptune” is a classic aspect of “storybook romance.” Venus denotes love and affection, and Neptune signifies the “idealistic urge.” With Venus-Neptune, we are searching and longing for an “ideal” or “perfect” love. Cupid’s bow and arrow, under Neptune’s spell, transports our hopeful hearts to a “magical realm,” shielded from the woes and worries of everyday living.
It’s interesting how news of this royal engagement has already created an exciting, “fanciful buzz” for the couple around the world. Perhaps the couple’s “fairytale betrothal” (Venus-Neptune) is just the “magical elixir” to shake many of us out of our daily doldrums, providing us with a good measure of vicarious thrill (Neptune) and pleasure (Venus).
After all, who among us does not want to believe in “fairytale endings?” (Venus-Neptune) Especially for princes and princesses.
