With the Moon in conversational, lighthearted Gemini and aspecting social Venus, enterprising Mars, idealistic Neptune, and abundant Jupiter, it’s potentially a stellar time to mingle and have some fun!
The Moon, Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune are also all in mutable signs, a modality which is thought to be more adaptive. Additionally, it’s a good day, perhaps, to find a way to creatively mix up work with a little play.
The Gemini Moon is in its strength zone making witty observations and comments about the world. It also seemingly relishes discussing feelings. And, while the activity of listening generally draws high praise from others – we’re always taught that it’s far more important to listen than talk – talking also comes with its own set of perks.
For one thing, it can be a cathartic release. Sharing our thoughts and feelings with others is also often a powerful way for us to be personally witnessed or validated. Too, the more we open up and share with others, it is more likely that others will also feel compelled to do so as well. Potentially, a win-win situation for everybody.
“It takes a lot of courage to show your dreams to someone else.” Erma Bombeck

“Words and magic were in the beginning one and the same thing, and even today words retain much of their magical power.” Sigmund Freud

“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.” Muhammad Ali
(It was also reported today that the airport in Muhammad Ali’s hometown of Louisville, Kentucky will be renamed in his honor.)
This day in history: On January 17, 1920, prohibition went into effect in the US as a result of the 18th amendment. Interestingly, at the time, the change-oriented Uranus was at the tail end of Aquarius, at 29 degrees 44 minutes, entering alcohol-ruling Pisces, five days later, where it would stay for 8 more years. Prohibition would last for 13 years!
Hope you enjoy your day!
