Cosmic Weather:
(Venus in Sagittarius trines Chiron in Aries at 2 degrees, 8:19 am)
Today appears to be an opportune time to put more of a focus or energy on the more pleasurable aspects of our lives that help to endow us with a true sense of joy, beauty, love, or fulfillment (Venus); the revitalizing areas that we genuinely look forward to leaning into (Sagittarius).
We are also, ideally, more willing or able to overlook or accept our own or others’ perceived weaknesses or vulnerabilities (Chiron) now, preferring to view them, instead, as interesting launching pads for new growth or mutual discovery (Aries). Kind of like what the late broadcast minister and author, Robert Schuller, often advised his followers to do: “Turn your scars into stars.” Venus in Sagittarius also naturally tends to be very philosophical in outlook and enjoys copping a “can-do spirit.”
The Moon’s entrance into unconventional Aquarius (at 6:20 am) also invites us to showcase our originality or uniqueness and to pursue out-of-the-norm interests.

On This Day in History: On November 3, 1896, Martha Hughes Cannon of Utah (b. July 1, 1857) was elected 1st female state senator in the US.
Astrologically, in the sky, that day, Venus (ruling women) was in independent Sagittarius (the zodiacal sign that governs both politics and politicians, as well as the idea of inclusion) and applying to an exact opposition to transformational Pluto (also symbolizing power) in open-minded, yielding Gemini.
“In 1896, Martha Hughes Cannon spent a total of $35 in the campaign that led to her election as a member of Utah’s fledgling state Senate. It was a seminal moment in U.S. politics. In that election, Cannon became the first woman in America to be elected to any state senate. The fact that she defeated her husband in the election made her victory part of Utah’s folklore. (The transiting Venus-Pluto opposition then also suggesting/highlighting a possible shift in the power dynamics within relationships.)
As a pioneer doctor, a champion of public health, and a polygamist’s wife who was also a leader in the suffragist movement, Cannon carved out a unique place in the annals of the state’s history.” (Deseret.com on 12/14/2009)
Hope it’s a good one!
