COSMIC WATCH:

Assertive Mars sextiles philosophical Jupiter today (6:26 am). This galvanizing aspect often helps to firm up our beliefs or convictions. It can also predispose us to want to take a stand or act courageously on matters that are dear to our heart. With the right platform or outlet, it’s entirely possible that we may be able to wield greater influence or sway over others now, who may be very inspired by our high level of enthusiasm for our cause.

Since we also have Mars squaring intense Pluto (11:47 pm), it is likely that we are also willing to work very hard to achieve our goals now. This aspect is often linked with almost a Herculean effort to get ahead, which can be very admirable. We do, however, want to make sure that, in our bid for success or dominance, that we also stay mindful of, and take into consideration, other people’s needs and desires, as on the shadow side, Mars-Pluto can coincide with bitter power struggles and manipulation.

Too, on another level, Mars-Pluto aspects can sometimes indicate a desire to let go of something that we may have at one time been very impassioned about. This “giving up” may occur alongside the realization that this thing is no longer serving a useful purpose for us and it is time to release it and move on.

Also, another possible scenario here: we may find that we need to suddenly give our attention to situations or matters that could be described as in a state of decay.

COSMIC WEATHER:

Our enthusiasm knows no bounds as sexy, go-getter Mars sextiles fortuitous, expansive Jupiter, who is likely toting a large bag of goodies for us today. This is a super aspect! Great time to forge ahead with important projects, get things done, especially anything business-related, as Mars is still in ambitious Capricorn, which rules status, career, and reputation. Since Mars also rules sex there could possibly be big breakthroughs here as well, depending, of course, on the size and stature of the individual(s) we are involved with. Again, with Jupiter figuring prominently into the equation, bigger is definitely better, and very much preferred! 🙂

Also this is a more positive time for dealing with bankers, members of the military, politicians, journalists, writers, publishers, lawyers, teachers, travel agents, clergy, and athletes. Physical fitness and sports-related activities additionally get the green light. We’re loving competition now, as it gives us a golden chance to strut our hot stuff all over the place!

Our thoughts also become more pragmatic and success-oriented today with Mercury’s return to utilitarian Capricorn, where it will stay until February 3rd. We excel now by adopting a communication style that is more purposeful and strategizing. It is key now that we let others know exactly what it is that we are hoping to accomplish with respect to our major goals. A time to enlist the support of higher-ups four our noble causes.

Possible questions to ponder now:

What floats our boat or gets us excited?

If we could magically do anything today, what would we do? Change the lint filter in the dryer? Watch paint dry? Part our hair differently?

What is holding us back from doing those things that we secretly desire to do? Lack of money or resources? Lack of time? Lack of focus? Bad breath? Marital status?

What are our goals for 2011? What can we do this very day that will help to move us forward, closer to attaining those goals? Is there perhaps anyone we can bribe or pay-off to expedite our success? 🙂

Do we know anyone in high places that we can schmooze around with now, who can maybe open up a few doors for us? For instance, we may want to see if President Obama is available for perhaps lunch one day next week. Too, it will be our treat. No taxpayer expense involved. We don’t want to create a ruckus or encounter any backlash with the ongoing Pluto in governmental Capricorn purge mentality.
