This is the last day for energizer Mars in reflective Pisces. It enters Aries, the sign of its rulership, (tomorrow at 12:51 am).

Also, Luna in Pisces will shift into fiery, enterprising Aries tomorrow as well (7:17 am), a time when the “pace of life” could notably quicken. The Moon and Mars will be joining the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Uranus in Aries.

Too, whenever Mars changes signs we may want to pay closer attention to events in the world, as Mars can signal pivotal changes for the matters associated with the zodiacal sign it is entering, with Mars providing momentum.

For instance, when Mars entered Pisces this last time on February 23rd, is when oil prices suddenly started to surge; Pisces rules oil.

Aries is regarded as more confronting-type energy. It’s associated with conflict and war and rules the military and law enforcement. Aries also symbolizes adventure, record-setting and trailblazing. It additionally governs athletes and sports.

Too, we have a New Moon in Aries on Sunday, with New Moons signifying new beginnings. Also, assertive Mars will be conjunct unpredictable, wild card Uranus in Aries on Saturday, a planet also known for innovation and experimentation. Needless to say, with the stellium in Aries, we appear to be on the brink of a highly charged energy pattern, perhaps the most intense of the year.

Today, we may also choose to use this transitional Piscean period to make sure that we have all of our players ready for bat and have a good idea of how we want to pitch this new Aries ballgame. In line with this, we will want to be putting the finishing touches on our intentions now to be released at the Aries New Moon this weekend.

MARS IN PISCES

“How much has to be explored and discarded before reaching the naked flesh of feeling?” Claude Debussy

Energizer Mars dives into emotional Pisces tonight (8:06 pm EST), where it will, no doubt, try to make a big splash over the next six weeks.

It is characteristically the nature of Mars to “stir things up,” as it represents our physical energy and ignites our passions – although when he is submerged underwater in Pisces, much of his “fire” is put out.

Mars in Pisces is also thought to be linked with passive aggressive behavior, or misplaced aggression.

But lest we get fooled by warrior Mars here, he can still be a barracuda!

Too, it is wise to always note whenever Mars changes zodiacal signs. It is at those times when Mars enters a new sign that we often collectively see very notable or pivotal things occurring with respect to “Mars-ruled” matters: aggression, war, adventurous new beginnings, discoveries or breakthroughs.  We also have to take into consideration the zodiacal sign that Mars is moving through.

Pisces, for example, rules the sea and oil; oil has also been spiking upwards due to the unrest in the Middle East. We may all want to keep a close eye on oil with volatile Mars moving into Pisces. (When Chiron entered Pisces last year was the very day we had the BP Oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.)

Mars in Pisces is also potentially a very imaginative/creative placement for the “red planet” including possible talent for art, music, dancing, acting, film and photography. Too, there may be a greater desire now for spiritual retreat/temporary seclusion from the world as a way of recharging our batteries.

Romantically, Mars in Pisces tends to be fantasy-driven and very sensual, so we will definitely want to clear our calendars to make sure that we do have plenty of time for nocturnal pastimes. 🙂

The shadow side of Mars in Pisces:  There can be indecisiveness, disillusionment, extremism (including religious fanaticism). Or too much of an immersion into fantasy or idealism.

Too, with Pisces being more of a selfless/ ego-denying sign, we ideally progress now by doing more for others than for ourselves, especially more for persons who are downtrodden, disabled, or down on their luck for whatever reason.
