COSMIC WEATHER:

The innovative Aquarius Moon may prompt us to think “outside the highly acclaimed box” today as a method of problem-solving. However, critical judge Saturn, in judicial Libra, is also forming a 150-degree stress aspect to idea maven Mercury in diffuse Pisces. This may mean that the supposed clever ideas that we are so diligently hatching may also have to be carefully weighed (Libra) for viability and utility (Saturn) before they can be released freely into the ether.

In the News: The U.S. Government Accounting Office (GAO) released a 345-page report on Monday detailing billions of dollars in so-called redundant federal programs. The revelation of this report comes amid the potent “Jupiter square Pluto” aspect; Jupiter-Pluto could be interpreted here as spending or growth gone wild, with expansive Jupiter denoting bloating and excess and Pluto governing tax-payer dollars.

Additionally, with Jupiter-Pluto we may also sometimes become privy to classified or secret information; we had this aspect when WikiLeaks first unveiled thousands of classified documents on the war in Afghanistan late July 2010.

Ho, ho, ho! The optimistic Sun in goodwill Sagittarius is energetically square jolly Jupiter in fantasy Pisces today (Dec. 16th at 4:47 pm EST). Too, due to Jupiter’s intrinsically generous, warm-hearted nature, Jupiter symbolizes “the Santa spirit” in astrology.

Sun square Jupiter is often a time when we are characteristically wanting to be a little more giving and generous to others with our time, talent, and bundle of resources. Not a bad thing at all!

The only pitfall here: We must be careful not to over-promise, or over-commit ourselves. We need to avoid excesses altogether. No easy task, as we are feeling much more revved up about our abilities and capabilities now. We also have our inspired eyes on the “bigger picture.” Our hope and faith are merrily a twinkle.

Also, we are wanting so much to wholeheartedly believe in the good in other people now, and in fairy-tale endings. Finally meeting the prince after kissing way too many frogs. “Santa Claus Oprah” putting a trip to Australia in our holiday stocking, too, along with keys to a new car.

Cosmic weather: I believe the “excess” pig photo above pretty much sums up the cosmic forecast for us today. Enjoy life, but be careful of excessive behaviors now with the already abundant Jupiter made even more over-sized with a tight square from the Sun. This may be especially the case when the Moon switches from controlled Scorpio to overly optimistic, unrestrained Sagittarius (2:11 pm EDT). Jupiter is the planet that rules Sagittarius!
