Cosmic Weather: We’re working on control issues today with the protective Cancer Sun opposite controlling Pluto in authoritative Capricorn. Taking control of a situation and exerting our influence now may be necessary, as oppositions can bring matters to a head.  But gaining control may also come with a hefty cost, and it could end up alienating us from others, if we find that we overreach and step too far beyond our boundaries.

Often with Sun-Pluto, we are tempted to ride roughshod over other people’s desires in order to see that our own agenda is carried out. Or, the flip side of the coin, we can encounter individuals behaving in this manner. Pluto energy can be very dictatorial and manipulating. So if we find that our energies for control and dominance are being met with undue resistance, we may want to back off or maybe see if we can collaborate instead.

Additionally, our tempers flare up easier now with mental Mercury entering highly emotional Cancer and instantly squaring tempermental and rebellious Uranus. This is a highly charged aspect. While this can be a very creative influence, excellent for originality, we are also more prone now to erratic and hasty decision-making that could backfire on us at a later date, if we act too recklessly without first gathering all the necessary facts and information.

(News Update: U.S. Lawmakers have reached accord on new finance rules. Example of the ” Pluto Control” energy now permeating the cosmos. The WSJ reports the new finance bill will reform financial markets and firms for decades. Pluto rules credit, regulations and transformation and it is in the sign of Capricorn which rules government.
