On June 2, 1875, Alexander Graham Bell (b. March 3, 1847) makes the first sound transmission. Bell was a Scottish-born scientist, inventor, engineer, and innovator who is credited with inventing and patenting the first practical telephone. He also founded the American Telephone and Telegraph Company in 1885.

Astrologically, on June 2, 1875, the Sun was in communications-guru Gemini, at 11 degrees. It was also exactly sextile to inventive Uranus, at 11 degrees of creative, authoritative Leo.

Too, pioneering Mars was retrograde in achievement Capricorn and in a tight opposition (within one degree) to Mercury in Cancer. Mercury rules telephones and communication and the sign of Gemini. Opposition aspects can also bring matters to a climax or conclusion.
