“The first step towards true enlightenment is to lighten up on yourself.” – Bashar
Lots going on in the astrology world this week! – although it still may be a bit less hectic than last week – which saw the debut of the Winter Solstice, Jupiter’s ingress into Aries, and the Capricorn New Moon. This week’s highlights include Mercury and Venus’ meetup in Capricorn and Mercury’s stationing retrograde (start backing up your computer files!) – both events occurring on the 29th; the day before that, on the 28th, Venus will also sextile dreamy Neptune. Too, on New Year’s Day, Venus and Pluto will team up for their annual conjunction.
Today, the Waxing Crescent Moon will spend one more day in bohemian-style Aquarius, typically a time when we may feel much more inclined to ‘do our own thing’ as we set upon manifesting our New Moon intentions as the light of the Crescent Moon increases. However, with Luna forming a conjunction to more judgment-minded Saturn (1:19 pm), it is possible we could feel a bit emotionally conflicted regarding what we may want to do versus what we think we should be doing.
On another level, this lunar aspect may be a positive time to make some structural changes or alterations, especially perhaps finding a way to reduce any excesses or redundancies.
After the Moon-Saturn conjunction, Luna will also go void of course until its entrance into Pisces, tomorrow morning (the 27th) at 2:34 am. The Moon goes from Aquarius to Taurus this week.

On This Day in History: On December 26, 1933, a patent for FM Radio was granted to American engineer Edwin Howard Armstrong.
Astrologically, that day, communicator Mercury in futuristic Sagittarius was exactly sextile expansive Jupiter in Libra, excellent for contractual matters; Jupiter also helps to expand or broaden the reach of things and FM radio pretty much ended up doing that, essentially eclipsing the stature of AM radio. Mercury was also trine inventive Uranus, in pioneering Aries, with Uranus also ruling broadcasting. Too, Jupiter and Uranus were in opposition to each other, at the time, often a boon for major discoveries or any type of technological advancements. The first walk on the Moon by astronauts occurred when Jupiter and Uranus were exactly conjunct in Libra.
Happy Kwanzaa and Happy Box Day! Hope it’s a good one! Please be safe and well.
