The waning adventurous Aries Moon, still in its Full phase, squares transforming Pluto (11:56 am) ideally aiding us with any detox/purging efforts. Later tonight, Luna meets up with unconventional Uranus (9:30 pm), potentially an opportunity for us to break out of our molds and do something maybe quirky or spontaneous just for fun.

In the News: NASA officials say liquid water flows on Mars, boosting hopes for life there (CNN.com). Too, this announcement coming on the heels of the Mars-ruled Aries Eclipse, with pioneering Aries often associated with breakthroughs or discoveries. A neat synchronicity!

COSMIC WATCH:

The Moon spends one more day in “scholarly” Sagittarius and with intellectual Mercury forming a harmonious sextile aspect to “teacher” Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, this is an excellent day to expand our knowledge of the world, including the realm of foreign cultures. We are also more inclined to want to write about or discuss with others what we have learned so far on our journey of life, particularly sharing our philosophy of life. Mercury-Jupiter is specifically linked with the publishing world, academia, philosophy and religion, the travel industry, matters of law, advertising and promotion, and is generally viewed by astrologers as more favorable for contracts and agreements due to the abundant and protective nature of Jupiter.

Too, if we have been harboring a more pessimistic view of things in a certain area of our lives, we may want to revisit that area today and see if we can approach it now with a more positive or optimistic mindset, as Mercury-Jupiter is an excellent aspect for allowing us to see possibilities where maybe before we were unable to envision them.  Also, today would be an ideal day to make a vision board regarding our future intentions for ourselves. “The future is simply infinite possibility waiting to happen. On May 25, 1961, with optimistic Jupiter, the planet of long-distance travel, in futuristic Aquarius, President John F. Kennedy announced before a joint session of Congress his goal of putting a man on the Moon before the end of the decade.

On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and “Buzz” Aldrin landed in the Sea of Tranquility and became the first humans to walk on the Moon. JFK’s dream had finally been realized, but sadly he was not around to witness it.

Up in the sky on July 20, 1969 – as Armstrong and Aldrin were befriending the Moon, expansive Jupiter and innovative Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) were exactly conjunct at 0 degrees of Libra. Today, Jupiter and Uranus are conjunct again at 0 degrees of pioneering Aries – exactly 180 degrees opposite to that magical 0-degree Libra mark. In social Libra, Jupiter and Uranus had us personally extending a welcome mat out to the Moon!  Now in self-discovery Aries, where will they be taking us? Where do you want to go?
