With mental Mercury squaring taskmaster Saturn today (at 1:28 pm) we may feel that it’s a bit harder to get our brilliant thoughts and ideas across to others. Part of the reason for this may be that we tend to be more highly critical or judgmental of ourselves and other people now and that resistance/unacceptance tends to impede the natural flow of things. There may also be more of a desire to want to nail down every last detail in projects as super-cautious Saturn never likes to leave anything to chance.

Generally, Mercury-Saturn aspects are excellent for any endeavors that call for focus or concentration, such as research, planning, budgeting, quality control, or editing. On the shadow side, there can be more of a tendency to worry or to let our fears predominate, which is why we may want to just concern ourselves now with living in the present moment, which is something we can always do something about. We can create in the present, but not in the future.

The Waxing Moon is also in protective Cancer making us more fixated on home, family, and security issues.

COSMIC WATCH:

Luna continues in entrepreneurial Aries until tonight so risk-taking is still very much on the table today.

The Virgo Sun’s sextile to disciplined Saturn in Scorpio (11:03 am) is also supportive here because it ideally inspires us to want to do and be our best. It can also help us to be more calculating and strategic with the application of our energies.

Former President Dwight D. Eisenhower once said: “In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable.”

Likewise, today’s “do battle” Aries Moon is potentially elevated by the due diligence mindset of Sun-Saturn.

Also, this is perhaps an ideal time to reflect upon our own inner well of accumulated wisdom, based upon our own practical experience (Saturn) on the planet.

Too, we could also maybe put a little of what we know into practice now by perhaps offering to play a mentoring role to somebody else. Or, by maybe allowing another to assume that same role with us.

Also, by sharing our stories and personal experiences with each other, we’re not only potentially forging a stronger, more intimate connecting link between us, we’re also able to see, possibly with greater clarity, just how far we’ve come on our journey. As well as what our next steps should likely be.
