“What some call rebellion, others call survival.” Shirley Fessel
Luna wraps up her stay in self-assertive Aries today – also accentuating yesterday’s late-night Venus-Pluto square, in the process. The Moon squares Pluto (7:12 am) and conjuncts Venus (8:06 am). Correspondingly, control issues, power grabs, exerting undue pressure on matters are all in the overall (cheery) mix of (egregious) behavioral possibilities (but only if we decide to go down those prickly paths!). Luna also goes void after the Venus conjunction, until she enters bullish Taurus, early this afternoon (1:44 pm).
Since Venus rules Taurus, we may also see some telltale remnants of the Venus-Pluto energy permeating the day. Included in this might be our deep, intense passions rising to the surface. The Waxing Taurus Moon also protectively steers us toward a focus on security or material issues. Symbolically, Luna in Taurus represents the builder or the consolidator; likewise, we are seeking tangible, concrete results from our efforts now.

On This Day in History: On April 12, 1861, Fort Sumter in South Carolina is attacked by the Confederacy, beginning the American Civil War.
Astrologically, that day, warrior Mars in Gemini was separating from a square to Karma Lord Saturn Rx in corrective Virgo and applying to a conjunction with rebel Uranus. Challenging Mars-Saturn aspects often coincide with a sudden expression of built-up or repressed desires, frustrations, doubts, or fears that may have been festering for a while. Mars conjunct Uranus is also perhaps the most potentially volatile of all planetary aspects. It is, in many cases, the hallmark of insurrections. It’s associated with (on the shadow side) sudden upsets, rash behavior, chaotic incidents. It can also ignite a burning desire for freedom or change.
Approximately 620,000 soldiers died from combat, accident, starvation, and disease during the Civil War.
“Peace cannot be kept by force, it can only be achieved through understanding.” Albert Einstein
Hope it’s a good one! Please be safe and well.
