Cosmic Weather:

“Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit.” E.E. Cummings

With the Waxing Moon ensconced in commanding Leo, the sign of the lion, this is a natural time of the month for us to go about expressing our courage, creativity, and self-confidence.

An early morning lunar trine to the pioneering Aries Sun (12:54 am) also primes us for adventure or risk-taking. This is also excellent for any cooperative venture.

Luna’s square to erratic Uranus in Taurus (9:45 am) may find us temporarily more concerned with self-preservation, money, and or security matters. While we may want to embrace our personal freedom and self-expression, we are also possibly concerned about upending some of our stability, in the process. Incorporating a bit of flexibility into our outlook, however, can be the key to our getting ahead now and also a positive way for us to enjoy even more personal growth and well-being in the future as we are able to discover that there are often more choices available to us then we are sometimes able to grasp or perceive in any given moment. All we have to do is be willing to ferret them out.

The Leo Moon’s opposition to cautious Saturn in collective-ruling Aquarius (1:38 pm) could find us wanting to pull back a bit from relationships/social interactions. It can also sensitize us more to other people’s remarks, particularly to criticism. Revisiting the past may also be tempting now and constructive, especially if we are able to find a way to capitalize on lessons learned.

Luna will also sextile Mars in versatile Gemini today (4:08 pm). This is excellent emotional energy for connecting us with our passions and talents. A wider array of opportunities may also suddenly appear on the horizon as we open ourselves to new ideas or ways of thinking.

On This Day in History: On March 24, 1853, the anti-slavery newspaper “The Provincial Freeman” was first published in Windsor, Ontario, edited by Samuel Ringgold Ward and Mary Ann Shadd, the first Black woman newspaper publisher in North America and Canada’s first female publisher. It was the second newspaper in Canada to present the views and concerns of the Black community. The paper’s final issue was published on September 20, 1857.

Astrologically, on March 24, 1853, compassionate Neptune in unifying Pisces was exactly sextile to wounded healer Chiron in more traditionally-minded Capricorn. Transforming Pluto was also at 0 degrees of values-minded Taurus (a critical degree). Writer Mercury was also in trailblazing Aries and applying to an exact trine to philosophical Jupiter, the planet which governs publishing. This trine aspect is great for disseminating our ideas and teachings, or for shaping/influencing narratives. Jupiter was also strengthened by being in its home sign of scholarly Sagittarius.

Hope it’s a good one! Please be safe and well.
