With the Moon in feminine, protective Cancer all day, the sign that it rules, we have a perfect opportunity to affirm and embrace our sensitive emotional nature. Resolving to express our emotions as we feel them also allows our feelings to naturally flow through us in a very positive and healing manner. Our emotions can be telltale messengers for us, so it is always very important to pay attention to them. Paying attention to our feelings can also help to firmly ground us in the power and potential of the present moment.

Additionally, the Cancer Moon’s harmonious sextile to energetic Mars in accomodating Virgo (11:09 am EST) not only helps us in successfully getting our needs met, it also creates an effective, supportive backdrop whereby we can lovingly reach out and extend our tender caring to others. Mid-morning News Update: WSJ.com is reporting that the U.S. Supreme Court today has decided to rule on a controversial Arizona statute that targets illegal immigrants and whether that statute is a violation of federal law. I thought this development was very interesting, as the Moon is in Cancer today, the sign of the home and family. Cancer also governs such things as nationalism and protectionism. The Sun and Mercury are also in Sagittarius, which rules the law and also specifically deals with immigration matters and foreign cultures. Mercury, too, is getting ready to station direct in Sagittarius tomorrow, calling more attention to Sagittarius-ruled matters. Also, this decision was rendered with the Cancer Moon applying to a sextile to Mars in analytical, evaluating Virgo, with Moon-Mars perhaps helping the matter take shape. Mars, the energy planet, supplies momentum for our affairs.

Cosmic Word of the Day: Origin

COSMIC WEATHER:

There’s no place like home.  There’s no place like home.

But, where is home, our true home? Our point of origin?

With the reflective Moon meditatively chanting in Divine Pisces and Thought-Enabler Mercury, in the home and ancestry sign of Cancer, and in close dialogue with Energizer Mars in analytical Virgo, we’re thinking existentially about our roots today. Our source. Our origin. An immigration issue, in the truest sense, similar to what President Obama spoke about yesterday.

I guess, the biggest concern here is, will our Original Source even take us back?  Or, have the old homestead borders already been sealed off? In which case, is there a way to sneak in without incurring additional karmic debt?
