“Few delights can equal the presence of one whom we trust utterly.” George MacDonald
The Full Moon in Libra today at 27 degrees (10:45 pm EDT) puts a focus on our relationships. The Full Moon opposes the Sun in self-discoveryAries. When we have opposing energies, we are always needing to find a balance between the two forces. Here we are trying to balance our needs for cultivating our own healthy self-development while at the same time kindling or maintaining fulfilling relationships with others – something that many of us characteristically find rather hard to do. Full Moons also help us glean “full awareness” of situations in our life, by shedding more light on them.
Too, with the Sun, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus all presently positioned in Aries, we have a plethora of energy now for “self-focus.” Also, as a result of this “Aries” thrust, many of us are learning new things about ourselves – and as we acquire this new self-knowledge – there can be a corresponding impact on our external relationships; often as we change and grow, so does everything else around us.
Karma Lord Saturn is also presently in the sign of Libra to teach us more wisdom on how to get along with others. Often with Saturn, too, we acquire this wisdom through the school of hard knocks. In other words, learning from our struggles and setbacks; our breakups and heartaches.
Too, perhaps simply keeping in mind some of the “Libra keywords” now – such as diplomacy, cooperation, consideration, fairness, and politeness – and incorporating them as actions into our daily lives, may go a long way towards creating the “selfversus others” balance that we are all striving for. Also, isn’t it true, that when we help others achieve what they want, it often helps us to get what we want? Something we may also want to take note of today – particularly with the energetic lineup in “self-serving” Aries – which is perennially searching for what’s in it for me?
The only aspect that the Full Moon in Libra is making is a quincunx (or adjustment) aspect to Venus, the planet of love and beauty. Venus is also the natural ruler of Libra. Venus is in surrendering and caring Pisces now – the sign representing our ‘link to the Divine’ – where she longingly yearns for the removal of all boundaries in her quest to be engulfed completely by love; possibly yet another admonishment to us to somehow find a way to integrate our more egocentric, temporal nature with our more enduring, selfless, divine nature.
“It is divinity that shapes, not only your ends, but also your acts, your words and thoughts.” Swami Sivananda

Thank you! I try to write about astrology in a practical way. I’m a Taurus!
This moon has felt so powerful to me. I have watched others last week struggling with so much change and energy coming to them—like deer in a head-light.
Could this moon be a magnifying agent?
I observed the moon breaking through clouds last night. It looked like a projector’s beam in a movie theater…I thought, “There it is, we are in Life’s Theater, we are al actors in a play, a Divine play….Ah such thoughts are fun. Thank you. Linda

Full Moons tend to amplify our emotions, and with the intense lineup of planets in Aries now, many people are probably feeling a lot more keyed up. I personally have an Aries rising with Uranus exactly conjunct it now and Puto exactly conjunct my Mars (extremely intense energy), yet I am feeling fine and relaxed, except I have been stressing out about the weather a lot more lately, as I live in NC and we have had many intense storms recently including 94 tornadoes on Saturday.
BTW, I also saw the Full Moon yesterday, it was magnficent in the sky!
