THIS DATE IN HISTORY
ON NOVEMBER 11, 1968: John Lennon and Yoko Ono appear nude on the cover of the “Two Virgins” album.
Among the aspects that day, adventurous Mars was exactly conjunct wild card Uranus in partnership-minded Libra, potentially a time when we may seek out more freedom of expression in ways that might be described as unconventional – perhaps even a bit rebellious.
Libra also governs artistic expression, and it could be that John and Yoko were partly expressing themselves in that manner when they decided to get involved with the project.
Too, Mars also rules our sexuality or desire, and paired again with experimental Uranus, there may be more of a receptivity or proclivity to shake things up bit in this department.
Meanwhile, Luna, that day, was deposited center-stage, in bold, performative Leo.
Unsurprisingly, when the “Two Virgins” album was released, it became instantly famous and controversial.
