Ho, ho, ho! The optimistic Sun in goodwill Sagittarius is energetically square jolly Jupiter in fantasy Pisces today (Dec. 16th at 4:47 pm EST). Too, due to Jupiter’s intrinsically generous, warm-hearted nature, Jupiter symbolizes “the Santa spirit” in astrology.

Sun square Jupiter is often a time when we are characteristically wanting to be a little more giving and generous to others with our time, talent, and bundle of resources. Not a bad thing at all!

The only pitfall here: We must be careful not to over-promise, or over-commit ourselves. We need to avoid excesses altogether. No easy task, as we are feeling much more revved up about our abilities and capabilities now. We also have our inspired eyes on the “bigger picture.” Our hope and faith are merrily a twinkle.

Also, we are wanting so much to wholeheartedly believe in the good in other people now, and in fairy-tale endings. Finally meeting the prince after kissing way too many frogs. “Santa Claus Oprah” putting a trip to Australia in our holiday stocking, too, along with keys to a new car.

“Ho , ho, ho…”

Well, Santa may have a special place in his heart for girls who have been naughty, but I’m not taking any chances.

I’ve loaded up on cookies, milk and vodka, and before I go to bed tonight, I’m going to put these things out for him and hope that he’ll fondly remember me.

Santa is arriving today folks via Venus trine Jupiter (Santa), a classic aspect of “good fortune.” So get out that wish list and set out the cookies and other goodies and see what happens.

We also have a MAJOR transformational aspect occurring today with trail-blazing Mars trining life-changing, renovating Pluto.  This is occurring alongside the merry “Santa Claus” aspect and whispers to us of exciting turnarounds in our personal lives and for the collective. Juicy secrets may also be revealed.

So we have BIG BIG energy today. Hurry and grab you a seat on the Miracle Bandwagon before it fills up.  You’re sure to love its destination!

News Update: A wild-cat strike at the 2010 World Cup has been causing major headaches. I guess it’s to be expected when you throw an event like this alongside rebellious, defensive Mars just entering the work-sign of Virgo.  Then at the start of the event, we had the explosive Mars quinqunx to Jupiter/Uranus in Aries, the sign of sports. Also, we had Mercury square Mars.

Event in history on this date: On June 15, 1994, Disney’s “Lion King” opens in theaters with $42 million in sales. On that very day, Ms. Venus herself entered “Lioness territory” with her grand entrance into “Leo the Lion.” Venus rules what we love and in Leo, we gotta’ love those lions and lionesses!

Cosmic Word of the Day: “Fortuitous.”  The type of circumstance that’s hoped for today with Venus trine lucky Jupiter.
