Cosmic Weather:

While intellectual Mercury’s opposition to erratic Uranus may make it a bit more difficult for us to concentrate or focus our brilliant attention today (4:55 pm EDT), we may be able to score at least a few bonus points with respect to suddenly being able to see things/elements in a whole brand new light – which could then conceivably go a long way in helping us to dispel, perhaps, some of our more rigid, outworn, or erroneous views or narratives, as well as to maybe help us to creatively problem-solve…

Of course, there’s also a chance that these fresh new insights could deliver up sort of a mental jolt that leaves us kind of clueless or scratching our heads about what to do next, as we may be unable to mentally process matters in a timely, semi-intelligible fashion, due to the very rapid nature at which thoughts, ideas, and messages are bombarding us now…

Fortunately, though, today’s scintillating Mercury-Uranus opposition is just at the very first phase or go-round, so we may not necessarily have to come to any conclusive or far-reaching decisions now, thanks, in part, to Mercury’s upcoming retrograde cycle – which means we may get to go through this whole, glorious, divine cognitive excursion at least two more times (on October 19th and November 17th) when more information, puzzle pieces, or follow-up may come to the forefront of our ever-delicate psyches.

Too, with Mercury surreptitiously holding up in probing Scorpio and Pluto (Scorpio’s ruler) stationing direct, just last Sunday, it could be that we are also privy, today, to eye-opening results of long-term investigations – especially with the Moon darting through blabbermouth, news reporter Gemini! 🙂

All in all, a very good day to be led by our insatiable curiosity and to welcome or entertain unconventional or even radical approaches to old problems – even if we decide, in the end, to maybe, temporarily, stay the course.

“Why is it that when one man builds a wall, the next man immediately needs to know what’s on the other side?” George R. R. Martin, A Game of Thrones

Tarot Card for the Day: The Ten of Swords, which suggests that something is coming to a head or finale. Ambiguity is reduced.

Birthdays today: Russia’s Vladimir Putin turns 68. Television personality Simon Cowell is 61.

On This Day in History: On October 7, 1959, the Soviet probe Luna 3 took the first photographs of the “Far Side of the Moon,” eighteen of them resolvable, covering one-third of the surface invisible from the Earth. (Wikipedia)

Astrologically, that day, fortuitous Jupiter, the planet of hope and expansion, had just entered its home turf of Sagittarius, which also rules space travel and exploration. Pioneering Mars in balancing Libra was also just separating from an exact (opportunity) sextile to change-oriented Uranus in the bold, theatrical sign of Leo the Lion. Uranus is the planet that governs, among other things, innovative breakthroughs and technological advances, including in such areas as aviation or pertaining to spacecraft.

Hope it’s a good one! Be safe and well. I’ve missed you guys!
