Arthur Conan Doyle, astrology for november 20 2013, horoscope november 20 2013, Joe Biden, mercury sextile pluto november 20 2013, mystery, Robert F. Kennedy, Sherlock Holmes

“You know my method. It is founded upon the observation of trifles.” Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

COSMIC WATCH:

With “intellectual” Mercury sextile to “enigmatic” Pluto (9:09 pm EST), there may be more of a fascination now with what is hidden, or obscured from view. This aspect usually inspires us to play detective; or at least, to want to go deeper with our thinking, perhaps even to reveal more intimate aspects of our being to another. Mercury-Pluto aspects are linked with psychotherapy; also, with spiritualism, or contacting those who have crossed over.

BTW, Arthur Conan Doyle, who is referred to as “the creator of the modern detective story,” and the characters Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson, also had his natal Mercury conjunct Pluto.

Positive Mercury-Pluto aspects can also aid us in verbal presentations (Mercury) by aligning us with our deeper emotions, so that we are able to speak with more authenticity and conviction.

What mystery would you like to crack today?

Famous November 20 Birthdays: Joe Biden, Robert F. Kennedy

“Tragedy is a tool for the living to gain wisdom, not a guide by which to live.” Robert F. Kennedy

Enjoy your Wednesday. Happy sleuthing!

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.” Henry David Thoreau

COSMIC WATCH:

Taking action on matters is often a great way to boost our self-confidence. Action mobilizes our life force and helps to supply us with a sense of purpose. Like a river in motion, being active helps to get us in the flow, so we can grow. Motivational speaker, Dale Carnegie, said that the pathway to conquering fear and doubt is to “go out and get busy.”

The heavens also appear to be encouraging “forward momentum” today, as we have Mars, the planet of action, making a harmonious sextile aspect to optimistic Jupiter (9:48 am EST), the planet of abundance and opportunity. This enthusiastic influence is traditionally linked with success in business, or sports. We’re usually more eager to put our vision and ideals (Jupiter) into motion (Mars) when these two planets meet up.

BTW, Mars-Jupiter aspects are often paired with affairs of royalty. For example, Kate Middleton and Prince William were married when Mars and Jupiter were exactly conjunct in the sign of Aries.

What action would you take today if you were guaranteed success? What do you think inspires self-confidence?

Famous November 19 Birthdays:  Larry King, Ted Turner, Jodie Foster, Indira Gandhi, Jack Welch.

“Good business leaders create a vision, articulate the vision, passionately own the vision, and relentlessly drive it to completion.” Jack Welch.

Enjoy your Tuesday! Go forward with confidence.

“He was now in that state of fire that she loved. She wanted to be burnt.” Anais Nin

COSMIC WATCH:

Romantic Venus conjoins intense Pluto today (4:33 pm EST), an aspect that is often associated with an “all-consuming passion.” For those of us who may already be involved in a committed, intimate relationship, this gripping influence can help transport it to even greater depths of feeling or expression. “He felt now that he was not simply close to her, but that he did not know where he ended and she began.” Leo Tolstoy

Too, even if we are single or alone, we can still feel the power of this captivating aspect by focusing our attention on what excites us today. Having passion for something is also a way for us to be fully present in the moment.

What might be the shadow side of Venus-Pluto? Being led by our obsessions. Being overly possessive or controlling. Feeling overcome with jealousy. “Jealousy, that dragon which slays love under the pretense of keeping it alive.” Havelock Ellis.

Some Famous People with Venus conjunct Pluto: Ian Scott Anderson, Charles Dickens, Amelia Earhart, Jessica Hahn, Victor Hugo, Jeremy Irons, Liberace, Heather Locklear, Barry Manilow, Dr. Phil McGraw, Olivia Newton-John, Sean Penn, Julia Roberts, Sarah Ferguson.

Famous November 15 Birthdays:  Howard Baker, Ed Asner, Sydney Poitier. “If the image one holds of one’s self contains elements that don’t square with reality, one is best advised to let go of them, however difficult that may be.” Sydney Poitier

“I told her I’d wait forever for her, but that was before I found somebody else who’d give me a ride home.” Jarod Kintz

COSMIC WATCH:

With “sweet” Venus squaring “freedom-loving” Uranus today (8:13 pm EST), this could be a time when our commitments to each other are tested. Suffice it to say, this is one of those classic planetary aspects that is linked with wanting to “bust loose” from the (perceived) chains that bind us. The fact that the Moon is also in “impulsive” Aries, suggests that restraining ourselves from acting on any momentary whims or desires, may be a bit more of a challenge now for us.

The late author “Leo” Buscaglia, also known as “Dr. Love,” identified “freedom” as the foundational glue for loving relationships. “A loving relationship is one in which the loved one is free to be himself — to laugh with me, but never at me; to cry with me, but never because of me; to love life, to love himself, to love being loved. Such a relationship is based upon freedom and can never grow in a jealous heart.”

What makes you “feel free” in a relationship? How easy is it for you to extend freedom to your mate or partner? How would you define a “loving relationship?”

We often find that those who have Venus-Uranus aspects, in their personal horoscopes, tend to be more open to experimentation in their social and romantic lives. They are also often more prone to defy convention or the status quo regarding matters of the heart.

Some Celebs with Venus Square Uranus: Angelina Jolie, Diana Princess of Wales, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Corbin Bernsen, Naomi Campbell, Chevy Chase, Alice Cooper, Juliette Lewis, Anais Nin, Jean Piaget, Elvis Presley, Valerie Harper, Kirk Douglas, Johnny Depp, Barbara De Angelis, Kim Hunter, Tony Curtis, Carson Daly

Astrology November 13, 2013: Neptune Stations Direct

Isaac Bashevis Singer, Neptune stations direct in Pisces November 13 2013, spirituality, vision, Whoopi Goldberg

“Every creator painfully experiences the chasm between his inner vision and its ultimate expression. The chasm is never completely bridged. We all have the conviction, perhaps illusory, that we have much more to say than appears on the paper.” Isaac Bashevis Singer

COSMIC WATCH:

Neptune, the planetary ruler of our dreams, imagination, inner wisdom, and spirituality, stations direct today, after a five-month retrograde period in selfless Pisces, the sign that it rules. It’s very possible that Neptune’s forward shift could be signaling to us now that we also need to follow suit and pick up that old, saturnian chisel again – or magic wand, whatever you prefer – and carry on with the process of sculpting out our life’s dream in the physical or outer world; transmute our higher vision for ourselves into a living, breathing, pulsating reality that we never lose sight of.

“I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.” Michelangelo

What do you see in the marble, that is before you now? Anything worth carving out? Or do you possibly need to revisit the drawing board for further inspiration?

It’s often said that our lives are “works of art in progress.” There always seems to be something that we’re either revising or building towards. Also, it’s rare when things proceed in a clear-cut, linear fashion, isn’t it? Just like with the planets, we often seem to have our own retrograde periods. Sometimes, too, instead of just revisiting the past, we may need to overhaul or revise it. Something that I actually attempted to do, last night, quite successfully, on the eve of “fantasy” Neptune’s stationing direct.

In a nutshell, what I did was visualized and reviewed different aspects/events of my past and, in some areas where I was not entirely pleased with how things had panned out, I went ahead and, in my mind’s eye, rewrote the circumstances as I wish they had been instead, from today’s perspective. I especially enjoyed re-scripting many of my immediate family and childhood memories, generously injecting peace and harmony among all of us, in place of any tension or conflict. Even one family member, who had a serious issue with alcohol, no longer had this problem, in my revised past, and he was so much happier. We all were.

Anyway, directly experiencing/perceiving my past as something that was fluid or malleable, instead of something that could not be changed or re-written, felt very freeing and energy-boosting for me. It was also a fun thing to do, as it engaged my imaginative (Neptunian) powers. I believe that it also put me more in touch with what I really need to craft around myself now, as part of my daily reality, in order to feel more fulfilled and on target with my life purpose.

You may want to try this yourself, for a few minutes, maybe before you go to bed. Especially with illusory Neptune, the planet of creative license, stationing direct. This planet’s “envisioning vibration” is more pronounced now and “flights of fancy” are easier to catch. 🙂

“Study the past if you would define the future.” Confucius

Famous November 13 Birthdays: Alice O. Howell, Whoopi Goldberg. “We’re born with success. It is only others who point out our failures, and what they attribute to us as failure.” Whoopi Goldberg

Enjoy your Wednesday!

“You have to be uncomfortable in order to be successful, in some ways. If you stay in your comfort zone you would never do the things that you need to do.” Lights Poxlietner

COSMIC WATCH:

Comfort zones can be cozy and reassuring for a while – kind of like putting meat and potatoes on our plate; we know what to expect.  But sooner or later, it seems that most of us have a desire to move beyond the standard fare and explore or sample something new, even if we may eventually, seemingly, revert back to our old, effortless ways. The thing is, once we have stretched ourselves, and allowed in a bit more of the world around us, we are forever changed, to some degree. Heard someone say the other day,“Once you view things from the top, things below never quite appear the same.”

Today, with the empowering Sun, in renewing Scorpio, trining optimistic Jupiter (9:34 am EST), the planet of growth and abundance, we appear to be receiving an enthusiastic, cosmic nod from the Universe to go ahead and choose new entrees from the menu, metaphorically speaking, even though we may be pretty sure, in advance, that unless there’s also meat and potatoes, somewhere in the mix, we probably won’t really be too crazy about what is served up to us.

Sarah Ban Breathnach, author of Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy, eloquently reminds us, though, that we always have a choice in the matter, regarding whether or not we want to stay wedded to the past. ”Today expect something good to happen to you (Sun trine Jupiter) no matter what occurred yesterday. Realize the past no longer holds you captive. It can only continue to hurt you if you hold on to it. Let the past go. A simply abundant world awaits.”

What one action could you take today that would bring you more joy and contentment, qualities traditionally associated with benefic Jupiter? What do you think is also at the core of having an “abundant life?” Too, does abundance necessarily equate with having “more of something?” How might having “less of something” really be an abundant blessing in disguise?

Also, the sign placement of Jupiter, in our natal charts, along with how that planet is aspected, can provide us with clues as to how we experience a feeling of abundance in our lives and what variables/activities may lead to it.

Astrology in the News?: According to the Wall Street Journal, American Airlines and US Airways have reportedly reached a settlement today with the U.S. Justice Department over their proposed, planned merger to create the world’s largest airline. In astrology, both Mercury and Jupiter govern the travel industry, with Uranus specifically covering aviation. Perhaps the Sun trine Jupiter today, along with Mercury’s trine to Neptune, may have exerted a positive influence here in hammering out this agreement. Sun-Jupiter can also be representative of big business. Jupiter is also often a factor when gargantuan enterprises are involved, such as creating the world’s largest airline. Of course, we also have change agent Uranus still exactly squaring transforming Pluto, which can also reconfigure matters.

Famous November 12 Birthdays: Tonya Harding, Neil Young, Princess Grace of Monacco.

”When at last I took the time to look into the heart of a flower, it opened up a whole new world; a world where every country walk would be an adventure, where every garden would become an enchanted one.” Princess Grace

Enjoy your Tuesday! Live from abundance.

Astrology November 11, 2013: Mercury Trines Imaginative Neptune

“I dream my painting and I paint my dream.” Vincent van Gogh

COSMIC WATCH:

All too often, in the course of leading our hectic, daily lives, it seems that many of us regularly lose sight of our own “personal dream horizon,” that dear guardian vista that cradles our noblest aspirations and intentions. We get caught up the busyness of our existence, scurrying to and fro, and we forget to fill up our “dream tanks” with the special premium fuel that is required to transport us a little further, into that sacred, fertile region presided over by our Higher self, or that part of our being that always has our best interest at heart, that always knows the next, right step to take to move us along.

Fortunately for us, we are seemingly in the throws of “cosmic enlightenment” now. We have mental Mercury, governing our thoughts and perceptions, in shrewd, transforming Scorpio, and it is positively trining dream-weaver Neptune, the planetary ruler of our imagination and the metaphorical gatekeeper of our “higher vision.” Mercury has also just stationed direct, giving it a higher profile.

With the whimsical, illusory Mercury-Neptune at the helm, our grand dreams often speedily get their angel wings. This is a very creative aspect that not only allows us to gracefully realign ourselves with our authentic dreams and intentions, it also favors all manner of artistic expression, such as painting, poetry, drawing, photography, acting, and dancing. Also, it’s good for psychic or intuitive development, particularly clairvoyance. What we see before us today, may very well be our future, tomorrow. We may also want to pay more attention to any messages from our nocturnal dream life now, which Neptune also represents.

“Throw your dreams into space like a kite, and you do not know what it will bring back, a new life, a new friend, a new love, a new country.” Anais Nin

What are some of the glorious dreams for your life? Today is an excellent time to meditate on them and jot them down. Also, strive to visualize in detail how you can achieve them, by putting the magical, envisioning power of Mercury-Neptune to work for you in a practical way.  Also, what one action could you take now to move yourself closer to making one of your dreams a reality? Taking action puts your dream firmly on the horizon, for all to see. The action, unabashedly, serving as your personal calling card. “Action expresses priorities.” Mahatma Ghandi.

On a another level, Neptune also symbolizes typhoons or hurricanes. There are heartbreaking news reports (Mercury) circulating about today regarding the tragic victims of “super-typhoon” Haiyan in the Phillippines, over the weekend. Reportedly, at least 10,000 persons are feared dread from the storm. The Mercury-Neptune aspect perhaps attuning us to the ephemeral nature of our existence (Neptune is known as the “Great Dissolver”), as well as possibly harkening us to show unconditional compassion and love to each other, especially to those who are facing formidable odds. “Every single time you help somebody stand up you are helping humanity rise.” Steve Maraboli

Famous November 11th birthdays: Demi Moore, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonathan Winters. “If your ship doesn’t come in, swim out to meet it.” Jonathan Winters.

Happy Veteran’s Day! Perhaps gone, but not forgotten.
