The Moon’s entrance into nesting Cancer (4:37 am EDT) encourages us to get back to our familial roots. It also raises the volume up on our emotions, especially those centered around our protective instincts. We may need to rein in feelings of rebelliousness and defensiveness when the Moon squares freedom-loving Uranus in Aries (12:05 pm EDT) and opposes controlling Pluto in career Capricorn (5:09 pm EDT).
There is also a “tricky” aspect to the day with mental Mercury in Gemini’s square to nebulous, confusing Neptune which can serve to fog up our perceptions. We are cautioned not to believe all that we hear today and are well-served to thoroughly comb through all the facts. Neptune’s ray can be very deceptive and misleading. It is also linked with scandals and cover-ups.
On the plus side, it can be excellent time for any creative work that utilizes our powers of imagination, which Neptune governs. Neptune is also stationing retrograde today favorable for turning our focus inward (Neptune rules spirituality). Neptune stays retrograde until early November.
