With Mars at the very end of social and balancing Libra (at the anaretic, 29th-degree mark), there can be a sense of urgency, now, to take some last-minute action on a matter, in a bid to push it through. While this sort of activity is not necessarily good or bad, in and of itself, it may be wise to first consider what our long-term objectives and values are, and how they figure into the big picture before acting. Generally, with energizing Mars, we always want to be mindful of behaving too impulsively.

On the other hand, an anaretic Mars can also endow us with an extra element of bravado or courage to take risks that can ultimately be important or key for our self-development. Last night, for instance, I agreed to take on a social-type project that I had been thinking about doing for a while, but just hadn’t gotten around to it. Also, had I not stepped up to the plate, when I did, the window of opportunity for me to get involved in this thing, would have been closed – typical of the energy of the 29th degree.

The Moon is also in flashy Leo, today, and squaring retrograde Mercury in focused Scorpio (1:53 pm), suggesting we may be mentally grappling with a personal need for extra attention or appreciation. Analytical Mercury Rx is also forming a semi-square to bloated Jupiter in Sagittarius (2:27 pm), cautioning us not to be too dismissive of the details.
