“Our duty, as men and women, is to proceed as if limits to our ability did not exist. We are collaborators in creation.” Teilhard de Chardin French Philosopher and Mystic.
The universe is serving up some very cool, creative energy today (preponderance in Aries and Leo). Our destined mission is to try to tap into it so as to add some razzle dazzle to our lives.
Our creativity is unleashed when we toss out preconceived notions and inject new approaches and methods that might initially seem implausible or maybe even foolish to us. It’s not necessary for us to invent anything to be creative. We only need to develop new ways of looking at things, which happens when we give ourselves permission to experiment and think outside the box.
The lingering Sun-Pluto energy also suggests that we purge ourselves of what we no longer need, this includes shedding self-defeating attitudes. Under Pluto’s ray, we become aware of the need for letting go as a crucial stepping stone to self-renewal and advancement.
The demonstrative Leo Moon wraps up the day with a harmonious trine to romantic Venus in Aries. Their meet-up bodes well for our chance for love and adventure.
“Be glad of life, because it gives you the chance to love and to work and to play and to look up at the stars.” Henry Van Dyke, American Educator.
Famous Aries persons born this day (some biggies here, too): Singer Diana Ross, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, Journalist/Author Bob Woodward.
In the news: U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates announced new rules Thursday which make it harder to expel gay service members. The unveiling of this announcement came about (no doubt) with the help of the Sun and Pluto clandestinely pulling bureaucratic strings behind the scenes. (Pluto has a penchant for engaging in “covert” behavior. It also co-rules sex, along with Mars.)
The Sun and Pluto are presently square to each other (squares force action) and that means death, or near death experiences, for many of our old, customary ways of doing things. (Pluto rules endings, rebirth.) The square here to Pluto also underscores the fact that we have a “crisis” to deal with. Pluto makes us acutely aware of the fact that things have broken down in our lives and are in need of repair or replacement. (We get this Sun-Pluto aspect twice a year for a few days.)
The Sun is also in pioneering Aries, where it deftly primes us, on a psychological level, for new beginnings. Aries is the sign of the zodiac which rules the military, so you have the potential for more receptivity for accepting new protocol here. Meanwhile, Pluto rules both sex and transformation, and Pluto is in the sign of Capricorn which rules government, so we have growing awareness within the government that more needs to be done, changes implemented, about the sexual orientation policy.
Other huge “Pluto-related” headlines now: The Obama administration will announce plans today to lower mortgage debt for troubled borrowers. (Pluto rules debt and mortgages.) Also, on Thursday, historic changes were approved by Congress that will overhaul the student loan program. (Pluto rules student loans as part of debt.)
What we see here with each of these news stories is how the “Pluto” energy, when aroused (the square to the pioneering Sun), forces issues and brings matters to a head, and usually figuring in prominently with the Pluto influence is an overhaul or complete gutting of previous procedures.
Peace and love, everyone. Enjoy your day!
