COSMIC WEATHER:
The Magical Moon, Mistress of the Night, ends her stay in Immaculate Virgo. But, before she departs her tidy abode there, she has to pick up after Sloppy Jupiter (10:12 am EDT), and also rein in, “Let me rock your boat” Uranus (12:43 pm EDT), who is lovingly joined at the jaw with Jolly Jupiter in, “Both of you clowns are making me very seasick” Pisces.
Later, the Moon’s descent into Nuptials Libra (3:52 pm EDT) also brings a fair measure of intrigue into the honeymoon suite, as the Moon forms an exact square to “Master Spy” Pluto (8:30 pm EDT), in Big Brother Is Watching You Capricorn. Pluto is intent on bugging the conjugal bedding with a special CIA recording device.
What this may mean for all of us today is: Beware of weird-looking sea creatures with big jaws and try to steer clear of matrimonial spies with X-rated, government-mandated agendas. One more thing: Vacuuming could also become treacherous, if we venture too close to the goldfish bowl.”
On the other hand, if we choose to “go with the flow” and swim above the discord (Jupiter-Uranus), we may be in for quite an exciting time today, and also perhaps gain valuable insight into our own mysterious, inner workings (Pluto). Jupiter-Uranus energy can always be used as a launching pad for our own genius and creativity. Moon-Pluto, too, may provide us with some much-needed clarity regarding what is blocking us from fully enjoying our relationship(s).
Quote of the Day:
“Turbulence is life force. It is opportunity. Let’s love turbulence and use it for change.” Ramsey Clark
Today’s Affirmation:
I choose to ride the glorious wave of life, wherever it may take me, knowing it is custom-fit to guide me to my soul’s sacred paradise.
Personal update:
As regular readers to this blog may know, last week, when the Sun and Saturn were exactly square to my natal Mars in my chart (an aspect of war), I had an old red oak tree suddenly tip over in my front yard, during a storm, taking along parts of three other trees with it. Today, with Tree-Cutter Mars in Change Things Over Scorpio, exactly conjunct my 8th house cusp of transition, I am having three other trees taken down (this is occurring as I write this). Two of the trees I am having removed, red oaks again, are leaning too close to my house, and the third tree is the “other half” of the double-leader red oak that fell last week, which is now weakened and needs to come down.
Mars energizes us to action and with it, we must often “do battle,” and that is exactly what is happening in my case. I am doing battle with my immediate environment out of necessity and for concerns over my physical safety and long-term survival, which Warrior Mars also speaks to.
Mars is also conjunct beautifying Venus in transforming Scorpio and, I do believe, that I am going to be very pleased and inspired by the appearance of my new front yard, when this makeover process is completed today. I also have transiting Pluto, Scorpio’s co-ruler with Mars, exactly opposite my fourth house cusp of the home, which again denotes renewal on the home front.
The fourth house also symbolizes the soul. I do feel that the trees coming down will symbolically allow my soul to move around freer, if that makes any sense. That the trees may have been barriers to my soul’s self-expression. I do really feel this. Right now, when I look out my front windows, my “view” is obstructed. But when the trees are all down, I will be able to “see more clearly” the nature of things and the lay of the land around me.
So I feel very inspired today, as I ride life’s noble wave. And, unless I be remiss, I also give blessings to the fallen trees. They have served me well over the years. They are like old friends. I know they have also kindly buffered my body, mind, and spirit, more than once, with their purposeful protection and wisdom. Shielded me from experiences that I was perhaps not fully ready to receive or understand at the time. They were like brave soldiers standing sentry over me.
But now, with Pluto’s extended naked ray, beaming down upon me, and Mars today in regenerating Scorpio, knocking on Pluto’s/Mars’ front door (the 8th house), it is time for me to do away with the old established guard and journey on. Put down new roots, grow new branches. Spread out beyond my customary borders, while bidding my dear, neighboring companions, who have served as steady fixtures in my life, for over twenty years, a final farewell. And, like Kahlil Gibran, alludes to down below, “thank them for their faithful life’s poetry.”
“Trees are poems that earth writes upon the sky. We fell them down and turn them into paper, that we may record our emptiness.” Kahlil Gibran

Nice!
Thanks for this – I have some ‘trees’ crashing down around me too. Very inspiring.
Years ago, I lost someone very close to me. Shortly afterwards, I had another huge oak tree “suddenly die” in my front yard. It literally seemed to die overnight. I was very depressed about the tree dying, as it reminded me of my loss. However, after the tree was removed, I suddenly felt a new surge of life within me, similar to what I am feeling now. I do think trees are very symbolic. We here about the “tree of life.” When the trees in our lives die or need to be removed, it signals to me that we are clearing the way for pivotal life passages and we need to embrace these new beginnings.
“Both of you clowns are making me very seasick” Pisces.
THAT made me laugh out loud! Personally I can’t wait for the moon to move into Libra today! The Moon’s just zipped past a conjunction with my natal Uranus so all the wired energy needs channelling but the Virgo energy is far to hypercritically chatty to get anything done.
Good to hear you feel inspired today. The tree removal opening up your soul makes perfect sense 🙂
Jupiter and Uranus are such an odd pair, especially quirky Uranus swimming around in Pisces. No telling what he’s doing with the fish.
