“Privacy is not something I’m merely entitled to, it’s an absolute prerequisite.” Marlon Brando.

The heavy “Do Not Enter” Scorpio Moon energy continues the first portion of the day making us satisfied with all manner of glorious self-containment. The Scorpio Moon also goes “void-of-course” at 8:54 am EDT. That means the morning time is best used for wrapping up loose ends and attending to routine tasks (especially analytical tasks) versus initiating new activities.

At 12:53 pm EDT, the pace quickens, lightens up considerably (and new beginnings get the go ahead again), as the Moon enters spontaneous Sagittarius, where the sky’s the limit. With the Moon here we are eager for adventure and instinctively resist restraint. We are also energized by lively conversation.

Natural topics for discussion now may center around “money matters” as Mercury (communication) enters the practical, security-oriented sign of Taurus. Too, as Mercury moves into Taurus, he is cornered by restrictive Saturn (stressful quinqunx aspect) who reminds him of his material obligations and psychological limits. The carefree Sagittarius Moon tells Mercury “not to worry” and pries away from him, his credit card, so she can go shopping for Easter Bonnets and chocolate with the ever-indulgent Venus in Taurus.

“Shopping is a woman thing.  It’s a contact sport like football.  Women enjoy the scrimmage, the noisy crowds, the danger of being trampled to death, and the ecstasy of the purchase.” Erma Bombeck.

Famous persons born on this day: Emmylou Harris, Marvin Gaye, Hans Christian Andersen, Rodney King.

Memorable event in history on this date: Two classic television “soap operas” debuted on April 2, 1956: As The World Turns and Edge of Night. In the horoscope for both shows, Venus, the “Relationship Queen and Love Goddess,” was in sensual Taurus, and also in a stressful square to controlling Pluto, in the sign of Leo, which rules romance and entertainment. Venus-Pluto is always about high drama and sexuality and manipulation, the perfect mainstay ingredients for “soap opera TV.”

Peace and love, everyone.  Enjoy your Friday!
