“I close my eyes in order to see.” – Paul Gauguin

The illuminating Sun enters dreamy Pisces today where it joins its two loving companions, Venus and Jupiter, as well as rebel Uranus. The Sun here shines its’ bright light upon all things mystical and emotional.

In the astrological sign of Pisces, we have reached the end of the zodiac and the archetypal meaning of the sign reflects that fact.  When the Sun enters Neptune’s womb here, it is to embark on a mission that builds upon and transcends all our other previous more mundane experiences. The Sun ruling our identity now seeks expression and fulfillment on a much more deeper, internal level, in the realm of our dreams and in the domain of our souls.

As a result, in Pisces, our idealism is stoked here, as well as our imagination and compassion.  If our daily energies subtlely feel more surreal and sublime now, and our fantasies, appear to be proliferating, we know it is because of our special other-wordly Pisces connection.

The ever-changing Moon, however, continues its outwardly adventurous, more narcissistic quest in fiery Aries today, and isn’t quite ready for us to fully submit ourselves to the guru thing. It doesn’t see the need to meditate on our navels when there are still new worlds to conquer.  So, as usual, we are faced with a bit of a dichotomy here. What else is new?

Famous persons born on this day: John Travolta, Yoko Ono, Toni Morrison, Cybill Shepherd.

Some final daily observational footnotes:

Professional golfer, Tiger Woods, is poised to finally break his silence and make a statement at the PGA Tour headquarters office in Florida at 11 am ET Friday.  He is reportedly going to apologize for his behavior and talk about his future. (Please see my blog that I did yesterday about this topic; I have also written about Tiger’s horoscope in other blogs.)

As I discussed at length in my blog on Tiger yesterday, Tiger has some potentially very favorable healing planetary energies temporarily surrounding him now.  Exact in his birthchart, the transiting Venus, the planet of peace and love,  is sextiling his Sun, which rules his basic essence and ego.

When Venus has us in her loving clutches, we are normally better able to win over our opponents and adversaries and make a better overall impression, as our power of attraction is dialed up a notch. Internally, too, we also just feel more like reaching out to others, as Venus is the relationship planet.  Also with Venus, our internal healing often comes from reaching out to others and having others embrace us back. Also, since Venus is still in her rare betrothal with lucky Jupiter in compassionate Pisces, the world may be more emotionally willing to give Tiger another chance.  We’ll just have to wait and see.

We do hope that Tiger will announce to us that he is ready to get back to playing golf soon.  The Sun, Venus and Jupiter are all spreading their goodwill for him now, in his sixth house of personal health and employment, so maybe that will mean this will be happening soon.

Tiger has had, and still does have, ego-denying Neptune exactly sitting on his sixth house. That long-term Neptune influence can tend to erode our spirits and and eat away at our confidence, if we succumb to it.  Neptune also will be there for several years, in his chart, as it is a slow-moving planet. But, hopefully, in wake of his recent experiences, and time for deep self-reflection, Tiger is ready now to go beyond that darker, more fearful expression of Neptune, and transmute it into something more transcendent for himself.  Neptune is our link to the Divine, where all things are possible, if we just stay focused, and eternally maintain our faith, hope and optimism, and the belief that the best is still yet to come.

Peace and love.  Enjoy your day!
